2023 offense has potential to be best in Bills history
FLFan replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Singletary to Harris is the wrong comparison. I always liked him, but Cook was carrying more of the the load and outperforming him late in the year. Cook is the replacement and he is more dynamic without question. Harris is more than an adequate change of pace, and Murray can pound the rock. Devin will not be missed. -

I agree with your points. I do think that Murray provides solid insurance against Harris getting banged up. Overall, I think we are stronger there. The receiver group is definitely better with the promising Shakir in his second year, and the additions of Harty, Sherfield, and Shorter replacing the stiffs we had in those slots last year. If Kincaid can perform, and Dorsey can get all the pieces involved, the Bills will be very dangerous. We are clearly better and deeper at guard, but tackle is a concern. Brown has to step up, and our depth there is poor. My biggest concern for sure. -
I was being sarcastic, as that seems to be the response from many around here if you dare to be positive about the Bills.

You are obviously a hopeless homer, blinded by your rose colored glasses. (Did I miss any?)

My favorite post of every year. First of all, the Jets game is not the home opener. Second of all, eat s…

It is a shame he will do so well out of his mismanagement of the proud Washington franchise, but NFL teams are scarce commodities, much more scarce than billionaires. In any event, his incompetence and arrogance and outright criminality probably shaved billions off what this franchise could have been worth if cared for properly.

When you resort to the rose colored glasses trope to describe people whose objectivity leads them to a different conclusion you simply prove your ignorance. Just so you know.

Of course you do.

Bills at jets monday opener ESPN/ABC on week 1
FLFan replied to djp14150's topic in The Stadium Wall
He is already back to his usual casual approach to the offseason. What a leader. https://wisportsheroics.com/aaron-rodgers-already-de-commits-to-new-york-jets/ -
I think they will be better, but it’s going to take 12 wins at least to win the AFCE and I do not think they are 5 games better. The Bills are better as well. Rogers has a great deal to prove. He looked mediocre last year. Everyone seems to be assuming he will be revived and back in MVP form with this change and that is no sure thing. He may well have hit the wall. Better than Zack Wilson? Sure. Better than Allen? No way. (or Mahomes, or Burrow, and quite possibly Lawrence, Jackson, Herbert). The Jets are clearly the darlings of the national media now, and of self loathing Bills fans everywhere, but I will believe it when I see it.

Actually, we will find out no such thing in game 1 of a 17 game season, but it should be fun. -
Proving that for every idiotic hot take, there is an audience.

Jackson Mahomes Sexual Assault(Update)Arrested

I guess that’s just courtin’ where Brit comes from. -
https://www.si.com/nfl/seahawks/news/seattle-seahawks-sign-poona-ford-john-schneider-pete-carroll-free-agency-update-contract Pete Carrol says they preferred him at nose tackle and that he was too often played at 3T and 5T in their defense. I think Buffalo views him as an upgrade to Settle at 1T. They really had no true 1T behind Jones last year and that was a problem.

Yeah. Read that post and tell me you think this guy should be signed by the Bills. Not hardly.

Color me unsurprised that these two nitwits agree. Could not agree more. We finally chased this jerk out of here. No need to be reminded he exists.

With this years class, UDFAs are probably every but as good as late round draft choices. No difference.

The Bills are primarily a pass first team. It seems to me that whatever slight run game scheme deficiency might present itself with this player, that his ability to create a wall in front of Allen from the RG position would be far more valuable. Unless of course, anyone would like to see a repeat of last year’s constant jail break from the right side. If this player pans out as expected, Spencer Brown will also be a major beneficiary.

The Battle of a lifetime: Klein, Spector, Dodson, Bernard, Williams
FLFan replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall
Since Beane said they are going play Williams outside, I guess you are right - it won’t be him. -
I long for the days when his type of obnoxious crusading was a sure trigger for a dose of the ban hammer. One of the reasons I have had this poster on ignore for some time.

Travis Kielce ran a 4.63 at the combine. Just saying. This is a player the Bills can use for matchups all over the field but I think he will be primarily a slot type, rarely in-line. 50% of snaps is probably a good expectation year 1. He does not have to play every down to be impactful. We will see how they are able to use the new weapon. Should be fun.

That seems like a big price for a player that no team seemed interested in making a big offer on when he was available. The Ravens were really in a tough spot, but I think they will come to regret this. Good for Lamar.

All Gunner's Draft Stuff.... 2023 Edition!!!
FLFan replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
As usual, great job. Your analysis and insights are much appreciated. Thank you. -
Rogers performance last year in all major statistical categories was well below his career average numbers. He was flat out mediocre in a number of games I saw. No one knows of course whether 2022 was an anomaly or the beginning of the end for a great player. It is not unusual for players to suffer a precipitous decline at the end of their useful shelf life in the NFL, especially quarterbacks. Rogers strikes me as a player who has mentally checked out. Perhaps he will be revived with his new team, perhaps the skills are intact and he will make a run at MVP in 2023. He has always been too selfish to be much of a leader so the Jets should not be counting on that. Personally, I would not bet on a Rogers turnaround. That said, even 50% of his best self is an upgrade over what the Jets had, so on paper at least, they are better. They now probably have the second best QB in the division. They should certainly not be favored over the Bills to win the AFCE, and they are not.

DHopkins would cost a 2nd round pick...would you do it?
FLFan replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall
There has absolutely not been one new thought posted in this thread, including the original post. Sad really.
