  1. It is a little early to say there will be no improvement. Many things have changed - new coaching, new schemes and plays, new talent (Spiller), some new OL players, and the young OL players from last year are more experienced. There are certainly concerns but I expect considerable improvement.
  2. Post of the night on this thread so far IMHO
  3. OK - got it. Sorry for being too touchy. BTW - agree with you completely on Tebow.
  4. Calling another poster "borderline retarded" for what was clearly a lighthearted comment would seem to question your mental capacity more than mine. If you do not get I am not going to expalin it to you.
  5. This cannot be true since Mel Kyper and many other "experts" have said the Bills had a bad draft because they did not get a LT in round 1 and a QB in round 2. Damn facts.
  6. Gee, what a shock you have something negative to say.
  7. Could not be happier this overhyped curioisty was snapped up by Denver in the first round. McDaniels is a fool. He will be out of the NFL before Tebow probably, but not by much. I hope this means we will not have to endure 24/7 Tebow debate on TSW anymore.
  8. Maybe the Bills will draft both Tebow and Clausen so we can return to the Johnson/Flutie days of fistfights in the stands.
  9. I think if neither Okung or Davis are there at 9, and Clausen is, the Bills pick him. I would be fine with that. I would hate to see them reach for a tackle prospect that they could get later and I can not see them passing on a potential franchise QB if available.
  10. I am not sure what breaking down in tears on the bench when the game is still going on has to do with compassion, but it does not indicate a leader. I cannot seem to recall Jim Kelly crying on the sideline after playing poorly in a super bowl, or Peyton Manning or Brett Farve tearing up after failing to lead their teams to victory in big games last year. Maybe they just don't care, huh? Rallying your team mates, consoling them, and many other actions would have inidcated leaderhship. The fact is Tebow is a fraud, and his so called leadership at Florida will not translate to the NFL nor will his skills, in my opinion. The NFL is not college, and there is more to toughness and leadership than taking a hit. Tebow is more likley to be a laughingstock in the locker room than he is to be a leader. And by the way, before calling me a moron for expressing my opinion (how compassionate of you) you may want to learn the difference between "your" and "you're".
  11. And then he cried, literally, on the bench. This guy is no leader of men in the NFL, is not near ready to play, and probably never will be. I can't wait until the draft is over so we will not have to listen to all the Tebow man-love around here.
  12. Stats do not mean much in this case. Campbell simply does not get it. He is erratic, usually fails in the clutch, and is a very poor decision maker. The Skins ran a west coast offense designed to rack up passing stats. Look at the wins during his tenure. They had many problems, but QB play was chief among them. Why do you think there was no long term contract offer? Why the play for McNab? Jason Campbell is a career back up at best. The Bills already have three of those - do not need another.
  13. Fat Albert complained last year about the Skins defense not being designed to take advantage of his freewheeling skills. He has publically complained this year about the move to the 3-4 and his desire not to play nose tackle, again because it is not good for him. He has refused to participate in the Redskins workouts saying he wants to get in better shape this year and he can accomplish that by working on his own. This is exactly the reputation he had in Tenneesee - selfish and lazy - yet the Skins paid him $100 million. The Bills certainly do not need yet another selfish lazy player at any price.
  14. Yes Campbell has had some turnover in coaching and Washington has been a dysfunctional franchise during his tenure, but these are just excuses for his shortcomings, which are painfully obvious by now to any observer of the Redskins. His decision maing is poor, he does not perform particualry well under fire, and seems to lack vision on the field. He is almost a carbon copy of JP Losman. There is a reason the Skins are ready to move on. No way we should take their trash. He MAY have slightly more upside than Edwards, but he is not a franchise QB. If he could be signed as a free agent to compete, or be had for a 5th rounder (neither of which are likley) I say bring him in to compete. Otherwise - pass - Tim Grahams smart ass "reporting" not withstanding.
  15. I cannot believe anyone is actually serious about picking Tebow with the 9th pick. Absolutely insane. Is this an extended April Fools joke, or has the Tebow man-love gotten this far out of control? Picking him in the second would be a waste - in the first - cause for confinement to an insane asylum.
  16. The Tebow thread never fails to entertain. Just stopped for a smile before cocktail time.
  17. There is already a pinned 25 page Tebow thread. Please stop.
  18. Agreed - not saying much, and they cannot afford to screw up this pick. I think he is the real deal, but who knows what the Bills think.
  19. If in fact Bulaga is gone and Clausen is available, this may work out nicely. The Bills can still pick up a decent OT prospect in Round 2 or look to trade back into the first depending how it falls. Of course we do not know how the Bills have rated the other tackle prospects, but it seems clear that after Okung and Bulaga there is a drop off. I know a lot of poeple are anti-Clausen, but I think he would immediately be the Bills' best QB.
  20. Outside of those in the Bills fan base who are intent on hating Whitner because he was drafted too high (or whatever other reason), Whitner is a highly respected safety. Other teams, coaches, and players seems to respect his ability despite bill's fans opinions. Not so surprising he would be the assumed started going into the offseason program.
  21. This example, and the immediate polarizing reaction shown on this board, are strong evidence of one reason why teams should stay far away from Tebow. This sort of holier than though act, however it is defended for whatever its well intentioned purpose might be, will not play in an NFL locker room.
  22. Yes, his 3.3 yds per carry last year is truely scarey. I am not sure how this is an upgrade over Thomas Jones, but I guess he will be a more cost effective back up.
  23. Yes they have Haynesworth, for better or worse, and likely worse. By mid-season last year Haynesworth was publically complaining that the Redskin's defensive scheme did not give him the freedom to make plays to justify his pedestrian performance after the big contract. This year he will be expected to play nose tackle in a 3-4, a position for which he is ill suited. This is a disater waiting to happen for the Skins and their high priced malcontent.
  24. Agreed - it did go down hill from there.. I will never foregt the Buffalo/Miami game in 2000. The crowd was very divided from the beginning. Johnson was jeered all game. The Bills were getting killed. When Johnson was hurt, there were loud cheers, by a substantial % of the crowd. The stands were full of drunken fights. People can think that somehow Buffalo fans are above this, but that is certainly not the case. Anderson better not consider signing in Buffalo.
  25. Peppers had .5 sacks more than Schobel last year (10.5 to 10). Just saying ...
