  1. Its a conspiracy organized and operated by Ralph, from his wheelchair.
  2. If the Jets are looking for a QB, and they very well might be, they will not allow the guy they want fall to Buffalo. This could very well be Smith, or not. The fact is no one knows how the Bills or any other team have these guys ranked.
  3. Bad idea. The Bills drafted their left tackle last year and have several right tackle candidates on the team. Among the lowest need areas.
  4. I lost all respect for him then. I do not read anything he writes.
  5. I suspect my tongue in cheek approach would have yielded more than 4 QB's drafted in that time. I also suspect it would have yielded similar success. By the way, do not forget the trade of #1 picks for Rob Johnson and Drew Bledsoe.
  6. OBD should publish their plan on TSW for fan feedback and comment. Once we have consensus approval, they can then execute the plan according to the collectve wisdom being offered on a fan message board. This will no doubt keep everyone happy and lead to a championship.
  7. Yes it is encouraging and he has said this before. I am not concerned about the relative level of inactivty thus far. Nor am I concerned that the Bills are letting the bulk of their free agents walk. With the exception of Levitre, these are players who are past their prime like McGee, Wilson and Barnett, mediocre to begin with such as Nelson, Jones, and Kyle Moore, too expensive for their production like Fitz, or do not fit the new system presumably such as MacIntyre. I see no problem with cutting ties to a bunch of players who clearly were not helping you win. I am sure the Bills will have a full roster by training camp and I expect some of the players brought in before then will surpirse Bills fans. Just because the team is not sharing their plan with the fans does not mean they do not have one.
  8. I cannnot begin to understand how someone could actually put Fitz and Brees in the same conversation, or think there is any comparison between the two. Astounding really.
  9. It would seem we would have to. What viable free agent WR would want to come to Buffalo right now given the current QB situation? Not a knock really, just a fact. Things will change after the draft.
  10. What to do with the orchard Park facility should be the least of the concerns. This could be an opportunity to right the collosal mistake made in not building the stadium in downtown Buffalo to begin with. This, along with the decision to build the new SUNY Campus is Amherst set the city back 30 years or more. There can be no renewal of the WNY Region without a renewal of the relevance of the City of Buffalo. A downtown stadium would provide a lynchpin to redevelopment and a draw for business, and provide a public perception bonanza. This should be the course IMO. Lets hope the local politicians for once can get it together enough to work toward the right long term solution for the region rather than an expedient short term one for their own purposes. Absolutely. Valuable land.
  11. Sorry - don't know what's was thinking. I will try in the future to get my mind in the proper ranting frame.
  12. He is not saying they need 4 - 6 starters. To repeat, the only starter gone so far is Levitre who made no sense at 8 m per year no matter how much people want to cry about it.
  13. I hope they do not wait until 41. If so, same story, different day. Shut out again.
  14. "stringing him along for another year" was not an option. He was a free agent after the year. They could have waited until the end of the year. In hindsight, that may have been a better option. However, there was very little disagreement at the time in extending the starting QB at low level starter money. Of course now all the hindsight heroes know better. This was not an "inept" move at all - but one they would take back if they could I am sure.
  15. Excellent response. Unfortunately, you could post it a hundred times on different threads and not make a dent in the hysteria.
  16. This has been pointed out before, but the Fitz contract was not "huge". Made him the 19th highest paid QB in the league - right about where he performed unfortunately. I am sure Gailey and Nix were expecting more. Starting QB's are expensive. He was the starter and was locked up before free agency. It did not work out and he is now gone.
  17. Sadly though, as of today, better than the Bills QB depth chart.
  18. All true, but you do not build your team, or even your offensive line, around the left guard. They need to sign Byrd - an actual all pro and difference maker. They need to resign Wood before he escapes. (Center is the key to the OL) They also need to be thinking about what it will take to keep Spiller down the line. A $7.8 Million per year guard is a luxury in the salary cap era, which by the way, Polian did not have to deal with when he was GM of the Bills.
  19. I do not see it either. Not fast, does not score alot, low YPC. Not near the game breaker Welker has been and still is. Stupid move by the Pats.
  20. Sorry for the snarky comment. I was going for levity not offense. My apology if i offended. Still, the answer is the same with either wording - yes i have. Still wondering if it was a serious question though. :-)
  21. I can't believe this was a serious question. If you have been a fan since the early 70's and have not seen worse teams than this, you either have Alzheimers or have not been paying attention. This is not the worst team in the past 10 years much less the past 40.
  22. Once again with the voice of reason Kelly.
  23. That would be logical. Does not seem to me that losing a 32 year old career back up guard is make or break. Marrone is an ex OL and OL coach. I am sure he knows what he wants even if the rest of us do not.
