  1. I would love it if the Bills could make him pay for that comment and attitude.
  2. Well, I am sure your happiness is their most important goal. Just wondering - why would they curse the blind?
  3. Read what? An article about RG III? Thanks but I already subscribe to the Post. Not sure where the article connects to EJ, but rave on.
  4. So your theory is that Marrone is refusing to play a better player, just because? Sorry, I just don't buy it. Marrone is not going to say anything else publicly nor should he. I am as frustrated as anyone that Williams has not worked out but not to the point of concluding some conspiracy or outright stupidity on Marrone's part in not playing him. There is a problem that we are not privy to. Williams mouthing off in the press is a pretty good sign of the problem and it is not the first time.
  5. This is exactly right. If Williams wants to play he should just shut up and go to work. I do not have a problem with a head coach demanding consistent effort and team first attitude above all else. I think Marrone had been clear about this from the beginning. Despite the obvious issues they have had on offense, if you cannot see a significant difference in the attitude of this team, the togetherness, the competitiveness, then you are simply not paying attention or choosing to ignore it. We have not seen this here in a long time. If the price for that is a supposedly skilled player like Williams riding the pine, so be it. We may have all hoped Williams would change his approach with his new team, but clearly that has not happened. All mouth, no show. As fo Urbik, we may never know, but I suspect this was also his issue. His play declined noticeably last year, and he showed nothing during training camp and preseason either. Lack of effort will get you benched on this team. Urbik is back in the lineup and playing better than he did at any point last season. One other point. Remember Robert Woods getting dropped on the depth chart in preseason? How is that looking right now? He obviously got the message. Sadly, Williams is not.
  6. Here is how I see it: 7-9 Marrone and staff fired; 8-8 Marrone 50/50 to stay but Hacket forced out; 9-7 Marrone stays and Hacket 50/50; 10-6 Everyone stays; 11-5 St. Doug and thank God fans do not get to make decisions. My bet is 9-7 at this point, but anything can still happen.
  7. Against the Browns, Watkins was targeted 9 times, caught 3. Of the rest, I remember him having his hands on 1, that arguably could have been caught, although it would have been a great catch. 2 were intercepted. The rest were not close. This is Orton forcing the ball to Sammy along with Orton's inaccuracy, not Watkins dropping balls.
  8. You may have a serious hole in your musical education. That's "Uncle John's Band" by the Gratefull Dead. Bill is a serious fan. Most of us were too stoned to remember the lyrics, but that one is definitely a classic.
  9. It certainly starts with the QB. Hacket's offensive game planning and calls look much better when Orton is actually hitting targets. The past several weeks, he has been awful, settling right back to his level. That said, I continue to be perplexed by the insistence on power running formations that have not worked all year. I am also unimpressed with Hacket's ability to adjust as the game move along.
  10. I think the Bills D is capable of holding the Broncos down to under 20. KC would have done it yesterday had their Offense and Special Teams not kept coughing the ball up. Unfortunately, the Offense we saw displayed yesterday is not capable of much of anything. This game is winnable because of the Defense, but unless Hacket pulls a rabbit out of his hat, and Orton plays far better than he did the past few weeks, no chance.
  11. Quite true. He will fire Gruden and start over rather than ditch RG III.
  12. So it looks like out of town fans like me, and many others on this forum, who pay the exhoribitant Sunday Ticket fees so they can watch the Bills each week, will be screwed by the NFL. No Bills game this week.
  13. I think this is the most likely scenario and probably the correct one, unless they manage to lose all their remaining games. I do think though that if Marrone does not replace Hacket, his fate after that is sealed.
  14. I would be shocked if the Bills lost tonight. This matchup favors them across the board. Not that they can't shoot themselves in the foot like vs KC, but the Bills should dominate this game.
  15. Thread of the week.
  16. Agreed. Hope it is just fans thinking this way. This is a big game. Hoping for a big Bills win but I would take any win, be it by 1 point, ugly or not
  17. I understand your paranoia, but is there a single coach left from those teams? How many players? My guess is less than 10, probably more like 5. This is a much different team.
  18. Not really. I agree that Pettine deserves some kudos for the job he had done this year, but the Bills defense is better this year than last, and going into this weeks games, the Bills and Browns had the same record, so I am not sure why you could say say Pettine would be better than Marrone at this point. Cleveland played a good game last night, but Andy Dalton truly sucks, and they clearly miss Jay Gruden.
  19. I am beginning to lose hope that the "aha" moment is going to come. Spread the f'ng fiield already! It is what this team is currently built to do. They could be dominant with this approach.
  20. He was every bit as mediocre as he has always been against the Texans. Two interceptions, one TD. Lucky it was just the Texans and Ryan Fitzpatrick is just as mediocre. He will win some games with the Eagkes but this is the end of their chances to win the Dvision.
  21. No talking you out of a solid analysis. We need the Dolphins to win. They are, as usual, over rated and the Bills should beat them again. i would absolutely love the Jests to beats the Chefs. I agree on Green Bay. I think it is likely we will lose one of the "winnable" games and win one of the "unwinnable" games. Green Bay is very possible. So is New England. I realize people are expecting the usual to happen here, and there is certainly reason for that outlook, but I just think this team is different. I guess we shall see, but I am optimistic about 10 & 6 and have not given up on the Division. If NE rolls Denver this week, I may buy into them, but not yet.
  22. Total BS. The Patriots are not a lock for the division. Of Houston and Buffalo, the team most likely to self destruct in the second half is Houston. Total smoke and mirrors. Unfortunately they won a game against the Bills they should not have won, but they will not reman that lucky. The Bills go 10 and six. If they beat the Pats in the last game, 11 & 5 and division champs. Take it to the bank.
  23. I agree. I think it is going to come down to week 17 with NE for the Bills.
