  1. I totally agree. I was absolutely fine with the Bills going into “boring mode” . Miami was clearly not going to mount a comeback with Thompson. There was no reason to risk Josh or the receivers, and no reason to put any more of their Offense on tape for the rest of the league. I felt like the Bills could have scored at will if they wanted to and certainly could have run up the score, but to what end?
  2. The Dolphins were already mediocre on Defense and they have taken some big hits. Wilkins was their best player and Van Ginkel also made many plays for them. All they have now is Ramsay’s reputation and Poyer’s golden years. They are not a very good team IMO, even with Tua.
  3. Two catches, 13 yards, and bitching on the sidelines. The Stephon Diggs experience. Good riddance.
  4. The callers (otherwise known as sheep) take their cue from the hosts and the roster of hosts is the worst it’s ever been. He is actually the best they have, although that is not a ringing endorsement.
  5. Murray is the “anti-leader”. He is literally the worst possible leader for your team or your offense. A terrible QB. He is Doug Flutie without the canon for an arm.
  6. He does not seem to be aware of much.
  7. Yeah, that’s the game I saw. Reading some of the posts here you would not think so, but I saw the Bills look shaky at first and then take over the game. Closer than I would have liked, and too many dumb mistakes, but a pretty good showing considering it’s the first game and most of these guys hardly played in the preseason.
  8. Feel free to go elsewhere and follow a different team.
  9. At least he is familiar with the procedure. Been down this road more than once.
  10. It is not a league wide consensus except in your own narrative.
  11. @Simon would it be possible to get this thread pinned, please? Thank you.
  12. Good point, and always true.
  13. Personally, I wish the Jets nothing but bad luck no matter who they are playing.
  14. It’s that time of year, when Jets fans have hope and they are the darling of national media because their “team” has not underperformed yet. Soon enough, their terrible OL will get rickety old Aaron crushed, their OC will prove once again he is totally incompetent, the team will spin apart, and their useless HC will not have a clue how to turn it around or close the deal. I look forward to the Jets ultimate and inevitable implosion. Let’s hear from you then Spags.
  15. 33-13 Bills. I expect the Bills to explode out of the gate.
  16. This is just a silly comment. Bishop missed virtually 100% of training camp and obviously did not play in any games. Today was his first contact practice. Despite all this, you expected him to start? That makes no sense. The same applies to Edwards, who while experienced, also missed all of training camp. If you want to make a real criticism, find an argument that makes a little more sense than the one you are making.
  17. There is definitely a lack of energy and confidence regarding the upcoming season. It seems to me that many, many fans have convinced themselves this is a step back year, the Bills will not compete for the title and cannot possibly win because … (no receivers, turnover of players, no talent, schedule, Diggs, Diggs, Diggs, etc). This is the clearly the national media narrative and it has become the assumed result. For me, I don’t know how the season will develop, but I do know the Bills are a very good team with very good coaching and will be very competitive. From there, let’s see how the breaks go. I am looking forward to another season of competitive Bills football. As for the Cardinals roster - now that is what a bottom feeder looks like.
  18. Of course he does, because nothing is ever his fault. Although he does admit to having a bad attitude. He had become baggage.
  19. Less so than the alternative of starting either Edward’s or Bishop given their limited reps over the past 5 weeks. This will take a little time.
  20. Worst case 11, as many as 13.
  21. I believe they had an open spot, since Jonathon is now considered International Pathways and thus he counts as a 17th. If they end up signing that WR from Denver they would need to open a spot.
  22. I had not seen that this is official. Did I miss something? Beane seemed to be very equivocal on this one. I hope it’s true. He seems worth a good look.
  23. There are 5 defensive ends ahead of him on the roster at this point. If they get to the point where he is taking a significant share of snaps, they are in trouble in any case. He is veteran insurance is all, and probably one of the first if not the first to go if they need a roster spot. Murphy was intended to be a starter and major contributor, and that obviously did not work out to plan.
  24. Just wait. If the Bills do not add Hardy to the Practice Squad the board will implode again.
