  1. Exactly. If they intended to fire Whaley, then Marrone would still be here. Whaley is the one guy they they intend to retain beyond anyone, I believe.
  2. Hacket will not be employed by the Bills in 30 days. Perhaps less.
  3. I agree. I have not heard of any interest in him from other teams looking for a HC, and he is under contract, but it would be difficult to believe he could be retained by a new HC if he is passed over. Perhaps with a truly big name and a bump to asst HC, but Frank Reich?
  4. I have to agree. I actually enjoyed it when he put these shmucks on ice. He tried being direct and open and they crucified him for it. Good luck in NYC though if that is where he lands.
  5. It was always a long shot to me that the Bills would be able to keep Brandon for this very reason. Oakland could be a very good place for him to be. I give Brandon a great deal of credit for keeping the Bills viable in the NFL. He has gotten a great deal of criticism here, some of well deserved, but he has done great work for the Bills and is I am sure well regarded around the league. The Bills just may not be the right place for him right now.
  6. If that is the case, then I am totally fine with Pegula's decision. I thought Marrone was actually doing a very good job, but no way had he earned an extension, and there is certainly no reason to extend any coach on the offensive side of the ball.
  7. I completely agree with you but many here will make excuses for him. His record speaks for itself. That said, he is likely to get another chance. Too bad it won't be in the AFCE.
  8. Idiocy.
  9. That I could live with. I want nothing to do with Chris, but Polian in a advisory role would be OK with me.
  10. It is. Bills vs Jax in London.
  11. This is exactly right. All this talk of a new coach is reminiscent of schools girls gossiping in the cafeteria. Marrone is not going anywhere, nor should he. Polian is not coming here, nor is he needed. Cowher is not coming here, nor would I want him after eight years out of the NFL. I would like to see some shakeups on the offensive side of the ball and some better talent at QB and OL like everyone else. Otherwise, I am satisfied with the leadership of this team from the HC perspective. He defintely deserves an opportunity to finish the job, and it has been a long time since that could be said.
  12. Yes, we need the third string QB from a 4 - 12 team. That is definitely the solution. Sometime I wonder if people actually watch football or just highlight shows. Even then, you would be hard pressed to find any highlights of Cousins since his brief rookie season run in short term relief of Griffin. When given a chance for extended starts since, he has been Jeff Tuel caliber awful.
  13. Perhaps that helped, but I would say that the focus on fixing their OLine and commitment and ability to run Demarco Murray were primarily responsible. That said, I would be ecstatic if the bills brought in a new OL coach and someone to look over Hacket's shoulder, assuming they intend to keep him.
  14. I have enjoyed his coverage as well. It is fair and balanced, which is probably why people connected with the team will actually talk with him. It has become my primary source for daily Bills news as I rarely read the TBN articles anymore.
  15. And some people, including Dope and Bullfrog, want to prove they are smarter than everyone else with negativity and arrogance. I would hardly call what Schoop does "truth". I am sick of the act.
  16. For one reason, because they have traditionally lost games like this in the past. Clearly a different team and attitude than in the past, and if you can't see that, you are not paying attention. By the way, they were up 17 - 6 at the half with Tom Brady playing.
  17. Go away you useless troll.
  18. The sad thing is this not even close to the dumbest post we will likely see in the coming weeks.
  19. Gave me a good chuckle. Merry Christmas.
  20. I wish I saw a possibility that the Bills could stay within 10.5 points but I dont.
  21. This play, and the ensuing punt, were what has put me over the edge with the Coaching. I might understand this call if, as I was assuming at the time, they planned to go for it on 4th down. However, as we all know now, Marrone decide to punt, 2 points down and less than 15 yds from kicking the go ahead field goal. That decision, along with this cutesy call which did not even seem to have an option, baffle me. You had 2 plays to get 1 yard, and this is the best option? Orton of course screwed it up. Game over.
  22. I am pretty sure Marv is available.
  23. Please stop with this nonsense. He is out of football for a very good reason - he is not an NFL QB - not even close.
  24. I do not think there is any question that the attitude and culture of the Bills has radically changed over the past two years. While it would be fair to say that both Pettine and Schwartz have had an impact on this (especially the nasty streak this D plays with), it starts at the top and it is Marrone who should be credited with instilling the change. This team expects to win, fights hard, and does not exhibit the loser mentality we have witnessed for years under Jauron and then Gailey. It is a noticeably different team.
  25. Absolutely. Not sure why anyone would be concerned about this. Hit him right in the chest. Matthews did not seem to be expecting it, but that is his problem.
