  1. Winning trumps all. But when the team is in as poor of shape as this franchise is (and let's be honest, this is a bad football team), anything to get the fans excited is viewed as a plus. Would I rather have an influx of talent (on the field and in the front office) over jerseys? Absolutely. But I'll take what I can get right now.
  2. But there's so little loyalty on the players' side, it does make sense for fans to be more loyal to the laundry than the people in 'em.
  3. I'm not sure what your point with that is ... but my point was that Cookie's taking things too far. Just because she fed him some popcorn in a cute couple-y moment doesn't mean she wipes his ass. That's absurd. Like his post. Unless I'm missing your sarcasm in which case I should ...
  4. Well, I'm not SUPER excited about it, but I'm interested for sure. Mainly because there's a lull in activity between now and the draft. Plus, I've never been a fan of the current unis (like a lot of folks here) so I'm curious to see what they do next. Not sure if that helps ...
  5. Her sister (at least I think it was her sister) who was with them (and a child) was way hotter. I've seen Cameron a number of times through work (though have never worked on anything she's been on), she's not all that attractive to be honest. She is SUPER skinny. She's not ugly, and I think she looks better than she does on camera ... but she's kind of an acquired taste. Though, every interaction I've had with her, she's super nice.
  6. That's obvious on many levels. On a side note, A-Rod overreacting to that is ridiculous -- and I'm a Yankees fan (ducks). But the original post is even more ridiculous. I will say this, when the Yankees were in town to play the Dodgers I had breakfast at the Chateau and Alex and Cameron were at the table next to us. They were pretty touchy feely but in a cool way. So I don't think it's just a fling or a "home wrecker". But it's clear that Cookie has his own issues with Alex that go beyond the Super Bowl.
  7. What was the point of post again? You really sure you couldn't care less, 'cause it seems like you care. A lot. Enough to make an entire thread about it. But that's cool. Keep on being awesome. It's working well for ya, I can tell.
  8. You've never dated a woman before, have you? Not making fun, just saying it was a shot totally out of context of two people who are dating being "couple-y". It isn't like he only eats when she feeds him ... get a grip.
  9. And it should be noted, I was just busting your balls ...
  10. Oh boy do you not give me enough credit
  11. She was on the Bill Engvall show for three seasons on TBS. Not that anyone watched it.
  12. Let's not forget, Mr. WEO is the one on the side of the owners in the CBA dispute. The OWNERS. The ones who are going to shut down the league because they want more money and don't want to pay for the health care of the men who give their bodies and health in an effort to MAKE the owners money. So it's clear he's comfortable surrounding himself with the morally suspect and unconscionable walks of life.
  13. They look great!
  14. It's hard not to watch that Super Bowl and see Rodgers slinging the ball all over the field and not think, "Damn, we need something like that". I fully admit that while watching the Super Bowl I got excited thinking how awesome it would be to have Cam Newton, a big strong armed QB who's mobile, throwing the ball around the Ralph and making plays. Of course, I wasn't exactly sober ... I know nothing about Newton having only seen one game (the NC). I know even less about the other QB prospects coming out this year which is why I don't really like to weigh in on who we should draft. I leave that to the experts and draft nicks who know far more. But I do agree with Bill that getting bigger, stronger and nastier is a must for this team along both lines and in the LB corps. While finding a franchise QB is a must for this club (I don't believe Fitz is the guy -- but he's also not the problem either), if he's not there in this draft ... he's not there in this draft. There are plenty of holes on this team. In order of most glaring I have them: LB, DE, TE, OT, RG, DB, WR. QB trumps all of those positions IF the right guy is available since they're so hard to find. ... wow, this post is a rambling mess. That's what I get for posting before I have my coffee.
  15. Prior to that movie I had little to no post production experience but watching them mix that flick and hearing them give and take notes about the sound taught me more than I learned in two years of grad school. Listening to the sound editors, mixers, director and the producers discuss exactly what the statue of liberty's head would sound like as it soared through the air was an experience.
  16. Well played, Chef. Well played!
  17. I know not of what you speak!!! That cheered me up.
  18. But what a way to go ...
  19. I'll take this one step further. The problem with Superman (from a writing/storytelling point of view) is that he's perfect. He doesn't have any flaws. What made the Donner films work (at least the first one) and what made Smallville work for 10 seasons, is latching onto the fish out of water element of it. But as a whole, Superman is a boring and dull character.
  20. Superman is what makes me nervous ... The casting alone is a head scratched. But again, that's me . I know a lot of people dig his stuff, I just can't figure it out.
  21. Am I the only one who's not a fan of Snyder? Sucker Punch looks like a seizure waiting to happen ...
  22. I'm on your side in not being a fan of Beck, but I fail to see the correlation between using drugs and being patriotic. They're not mutually exclusive ...
  23. The theory has always been SM's rash of injuries are the direct result if juicing. It's likely true as the added bulk strains his ligaments more than nature intended for his frame.
  24. When Big Ben forces himself upon you, it's always twilight -- aka "Magic hour".
