This still wouldn't make it the right decision. As I said when they took Spiller -- even IF Richardson goes on to be a hall of famer, taking him at 10 (even though he won't be there) would be a terrible decision for this ball club. RBs are overvalued, meaning you can find first round talent ANYWHERE in the draft OR FA. You're advocating buying high and selling low rather than the other way around. How many more first round picks must this franchise waste on RBs until the fans understand this? It's mind boggling.

And you clearly refuse to get it ... Fred Jackson wasn't just the best player on the Bills roster last year, he was one of the best offensive players in the entire league before getting hurt. It wasn't as if he came out of nowhere either, this guy has been running this hard and this tough since he became a Bill but he's been constantly buried and wasted behind lesser backs and on shite teams. Jackson got a lot of juice left. And even if he didn't, there's absolutely never a reason for this team to take a RB in the first round of the draft. There wasn't when Spiller was taken and there still isn't now.

I like that plan in theory, but in reality I don't think Bell's agent would be doing his job if he lets his often injured client sign a 1 year deal with any team -- even the Bills. It's too much of a risk for his client to take. If they can find a way to make it work though, I'd be a fan.

No RB has a Number 1 pick value. Not even AP. That's the point. RB is the most overvalued position in the modern NFL which is why teams don't pick RBs in the first round (and certainly not number 1 overall) unless they're one player away.

You're under the potentially false assumption that there was a "plan" in place when the Jests made this move. All the evidence, including the one you've rightfully pointed out, shows otherwise. Tebow is not a backup QB. He's a starter. He will be starting in NY soon enough. And it will be a disaster of epic proportions. Personally, I can't wait to watch.

Just because I'm not currently the GM of the Bills (or any NFL team) doesn't mean I'm incapable of excelling at the job. In some ways you can point to the front office's inability to identify my limitless talents and BEG me to take the job is proof that they don't have a clue as to what they're doing.

Actually, I don't know anyone there personally (or professionally) so I shouldn't tell tales out of school. I've just heard lots of horror stories for years about the guy who called the shots on the film. On the other hand I hear despite the horrible box office performance, the movie itself ain't so bad. I just won't go see it. And I loved the book.

Personally, I think I can scout college talent better than Nix. I can also pilot the airplane better than the "captain", drive better than whoever is in the car in front of me (especially if that person doesn't have a Y chromosome), and coach any NFL team to more wins than Gailey. But I'm kinda awesome at stuff.
