  1. That's what I thought originally too. Then I saw the first trailer. Gotta say, it looks surprisingly fun. Not a huge fan of the director, but he does action well. Pretty sure the movie will still suck, but I'll probably end up checking it out and regretting it later.
  2. You did ... but without understanding the point. Which was maybe my fault for not being clear enough. The reaction to this incident and how quickly it turned political is shameful. It's beyond that, it goes to show why this country is so fragmented. Twitter, ABC, PPP -- it's an unending cycle of vitriol and divisiveness. RK's post, whether in reaction to ABC or not, is part of the problem. You coming on here to defend it is part of the problem. Finding a solution to the problem isn't going to happen if the cycle continues. I would think as individuals we'd be above that -- or at least strive to be above it. But here we are. 2 pages into a thread talking about how the right is a victim of the left and not the recently departed. It's shameful.
  3. Or ... you could read what I wrote. Or... you could read what I wrote.
  4. Again, I'm NOT trying to throw RK under the bus as he is but one of a million morons out there that has contributed to our society reaching this point. I myself am also clearly one of those morons as well. While I understand his intent, the fact that he felt compelled to defend his political beliefs in light of this incident -- as if the two were related -- is offensive to me. Our entire discourse as a society has become so combative, so vitriolic, that less than 12 hours after a crazy !@#$ shoots up an entire movie theater blowhards on BOTH sides are out in force trying to distance themselves from the criminal OR pin the cause on their opposition. It's shameful to me. It's why this country is f*cked.
  5. Without question. RK's post sums up everything wrong with political discourse in this country today. The fact his first (public) reaction to a tragedy such as this is to cry political victim is offensive to my very core. I'm not trying to throw him under the bus because he certainly isn't the only one to feel that way ... he was just the first to express it on here. It's shameful.
  6. Might not have been your intent but it's how the post comes across...
  7. Once again you completely miss the point.
  8. Whoa ... GREAT call. Now I need watch Firefly again with that image in mind. It'll be hilarious!
  9. It's one of the more hilarious (and brilliant) send ups of the environmental movement I've ever heard.
  10. It's true. No private company has ever had to employ private security to prevent against corporate espionage or theft. Well, at least Apple doesn't because they have a tendency to leave their latest innovations lying around in bars.
  11. Depends on where it is and who's affixing the adjectives.
  12. Never said brown people don't bomb other brown people.
  13. Yeah. It's called "history". Waaaaay over a decade, my friend. "Our new job in the world is bombing brown people. If you got some brown people in your country, tell them to watch the f*kc out or we'll goddamn bomb them!" Start at 1:50(ish) to 3:30ish. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDkhzHQO7jY
  14. But that's only because he's never met some of our more illustrious posters on this site...
  15. For the same reason all of us come on a Buffalo Bills message board to talk about politics.
  16. And what's the correlation you're drawing between these articles and the "Entitlement Mentality created by liberal social programs"? None of the articles mention any social programs, nor reference the fact that any of the people described in the article are on social programs... so how are you making that connection?
