WHO's OUR 8 INACTIVE FOR SUNDAY ?

Brad Smith is hurt?? -
Very few week one losses are fatal in the NFL. But a division game is a division game regardless of where it falls on the schedule. It counts as 2 games in either the win or loss column and that makes it a game the Bills cannot afford to lose. Show me the baby.

That was the best I've ever heard Clinton. And the man has given a lot of good speeches before. Tell me he doesn't want to run again.

They deliberately did so to draw the distinction, wouldn't you agree? -

No worries. I'm being prickly, I realize. There are few subjects on here where I can actually contribute, I get excited when one pops up -

Amen. And that core belief is what this country was founded upon -- and they got there without basing their arguments on God's will. That doesn't mean some of the founding father's weren't deeply religious and spiritual. It just means they were smart enough to realize man's relationship with his maker is personal, not public and certainly not the business of the state. -

Don't get me wrong -- I know some people are taking my statements as being anti-religion but I assure you I'm not anti-religion -- what you're hitting on is a very real and very valid concern. But there is a giant difference between believing there are inalienable human rights (which the founding fathers believed) and divine/God-Given rights. -
... watching the conventions on shrooms? That sounds like a terrifying yet amazing idea.

It is a fundamental aspect to consider. But, it's also a sticky wicket. For people who don't believe in the existence of God it's tomato/tomatoe for if there is no God then how could he give anyone rights or take them away? This doesn't invite God into legislation. At all. Any attempt to misconstrue the words or meanings to say so is misrepresenting historical fact and the founding father's own words. The document you're citing actually prohibits it and the designers of it were a hodgepodge of Christians, Agnostics and Diests. They didn't agree on God's role in man's life but they were smart enough to realize inviting it into politics was a mistake. Which is why they created a wall between the state and religion. Belief in God is great. Governing by the word of "God" is the first step to tyranny and not at all what the Founding Fathers wanted. -
I drink enough while working... are you trying to give me Cirrhosis? I can't afford that, my health insurance SUCKS.

Correct -- at least the overnights. DVR ratings are calculated into the final ratings but those aren't released for 3 to 7 days after the event depending on the show/network/event. I have a feeling this will turn out to be true as well.

God shouldn't be involved in legislating this country. It's not how it was designed and history shows it always works out poorly for the people when God takes center stage in politics. -
Jason Biggs makes a mess...

What's more cowardly, to invent an imaginary situation that justifies your rage OR to live in reality and defend someone's right to free speech even when you disagree with their beliefs? #1stAmendmentRules The funny thing is you think I'm defending Nickelodeon. That implies they've done something wrong. They haven't. You can't even give me a straight answer as to why they're in trouble in your mind. Once you tell me what they've done wrong, I'll start defending them. What this comes down to is Biggs said something YOU don't like. Instead of acting like an adult, you are throwing a tantrum and lashing out at people who had nothing to do with what was said or even who said it. That's not acting bravely. It's acting the fool. -

So.... you want to punish Nickelodeon for their reaction to an imaginary situation where Biggs said something about Michelle instead of Ryan? You realize how insane that is, right? -

I'm aware what a joking manner is. But it normally involves something at least resembling humor. Your posts are severely lacking in that. If you had a sense of humor, you wouldn't be so horrified by the thought of a 30 year old guy talking about the shocker. He talked about sex, that makes him a "sick liberal", right? But you're still advocating lashing out (with PR) against a company for something that has nothing to do with them. Don't you see that's just insane? That's like yelling at the ground for giving you a sunburn. Maybe if you got laid once in awhile you'd understand why what you're saying in this thread is ridiculous and very anti-american. -

Economics/Futurist Question

Further Disclaimer: I realize I've asked a vague question -- if there's even a coherent question in my OP -- but I'm not attempting to twist this into a political argument. I'm curious to hear your versions of a fictionalized Earth 100 years from now. It might sound like I'm asking you to do my work for me (and I am) but really I'm just brainstorming ideas and am simply looking for more logs in the fire. Of course, being on PPP I'm expecting you guys to have fun with this as Nanker has. But maybe I need to ask more specific questions. Here's a few more just to get the ball rolling... again, if you want to branch off from these -- totally cool. There's no wrong answers here (except for Liberal ones), and if you'd rather I go f*&k myself -- well, unlike Eastwood I'm flexible enough to do so. Q: How would the world look with a global population of 15b? What problems would the population face and how would we solve it? What would a corporate run world look like? How would that transition happen? If our economic model is currently based on the scarcity of resources, what happens to the economic model when one corporation controls all the natural reserves? My PM box is open too if you'd rather not post in the thread. Additionally, I'm in no way an economist or futurist. So I'm bound to say a lot of stupid sh*t in this thread (even more than usual for me).
