Official Prediction for Tonight's game...
CosmicBills replied to mtdoak's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's a great point that I hadn't thought of yet. It will be a good chance to see if Willis is indeed the first "Prime Time" player they have had in a long while now. I predict the Bills will win 27-24 -
You know I love ya Pete

LoL Talk about a sure bet! My favorite memory of ODB was when he pulled up to the Social Services office in a friggin' limo to pick up his welfare check on MTV.

It's a sad day for Hip Hop as O.D.B, aka Old Dirty Bastard, aka Big Baby Jesus died today while in a recording session http://www.cnn.com/2004/SHOWBIZ/Music/11/1...b.ap/index.html

I'm not a Drew appologist by any means, but this analysis is wrong. Drew didn't have the exact same coaching or the exact same system as Brady. Not even close. Weis is a dink and dunker, who is most comfortable with short passes and screens. But with Drew in the lineup, like so many coaches, he was blinded by Bledsoe's ability to throw the deep ball (something he does better than anyone else in the league not named Farve by the way). Brady on the other hand has a marginal arm on the deep ball and Weis had to adjust to the scheme that Brady now thrives in. Put another way, the Patriots didn't have the personel to run the sort of offense Drew was best at (deep balls which require lots of play action which necessitate a strong running game, something they lacked after Martin departed), yet they kept forcing it...remind anyone of Killdrive? When Brady stepped in, they had to change the scheme and realized that their personel (the RBs who were great in the short passing game, the smaller, slower WRs like Brown who excelled at intermediate routes) was better suited to Brady's game and Weis's talents as a cooridinator. I am not trying to disparage Brady by anymeans. I think he is a talented QB, but he was fortunate to be on the right team at the right time. And it was fortunate for the Pats too for had Drew not gotten hurt, they would have never realized their scheme didn't fit their team. But to say Drew has always been an average QB and using your proof is not fair or realistic.

THE DAY OF RECKONING IS AT HAND!!!!
CosmicBills replied to BradytoGivens's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll stick up for him (gasp!). Brady hasn't been annoying (well at least that annoying). He doesn't need to leave unless he turns into a troll. So far he hasn't. Besides, Hollywood, T-Bone and Thurman's Helmet need some more friends, don't they? As for the prediction... If this game is close, the Bills will win. If it's a blowout, it will be the Pats blowing the Bills out. I think that on a nuetral site, the Bills would win (taking into consideration the momentum they have built and how banged up the Pats are), but sadly for us fans it's in NE. I am convinced that the road woes are 100 percent mental for this team and I am betting (or praying) that their recent play has changed a lot of people's mindsets in that locker room. If that is indeed the case, then it comes down to talent and right now I think these teams are fairly equal (again taking into consideration the injuries) but I believe a lot in momentum and the Bills have tons of it right now, so I would pick a close game to go Buffalo's way. However, if the mindset in the locker room hasn't been changed, then it could very well be a 14 point Pat win. Enough skirting the issue. My pick: Bills 27 Pats 24. -
Ice, I agree totally with you that this game is a big "if" game. IF the Bills win, they will be in the thick of things. IF the Bills lose, they cannot possibly make the playoffs (6 AFC losses pretty much nix out any chances of breaking a tie for a wildcard). So this is the essential swing game for the 2004 season. Do the Bills have a shot to beat NE? Sure. If the game were to be played in Buffalo I would say absolutely. I think the Bills will indeed win Sunday but that is more the "fan" in me than the realist. But let me put this question to you. Your biggest issue, right or wrong, seems to be that Drew is the root of all the team's troubles and JP should be starting ASAP. But, will you change your mind if the Bills somehow manage to beat the Pats Sunday? Put another way, if the Bills do indeed beat the Pats, they are legitimately in the thick of the wildcard hunt. They would need to win out against the remaining AFC opponents to get there, but it would be within reach. So, if that happens, would you still be calling for JP to come in? Why risk upsetting the momentum at that point? I'm with you though as soon as the Bills are out of it. As soon as they are, and as soon as JP is healthy he should play. But don't you think you should wait till we reach that point first?

Whats your assessment of McGee at CB?
CosmicBills replied to Fake-Fat Sunny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think he is young and as everyone else has been saying, he will only get better. Moving TV to FS will help him tremendously. I think once TV is back healthy, and IF they move him to FS McGee will be just fine. -
London Fletcher --JIM ROME SHOW---
CosmicBills replied to buffalomike's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes. He said they are playing better since Willis became the starter. He tried to pin down London and see if London thought they should have moved to WM sooner (London said no). Then he closed out saying the NFL is better when the Bills are competitive since Buffalo is such a great football town. -

Nothing too exciting in the interview, other than London breathing heavily into the phone sounding like Darth Vader. -

He better show up and not envoke the Bad Karma of the Jungle -
The Bills won't lose to Pitt only because it's the end of the season and Pitt won't be playing anyone. Plus, the Bills are home and will still be trying to get Ws.

I've heard that from a lot of people, BF. So you aren't alone. I think the difference may come down to if you like the 80s or early 90s more in terms of eras. I guess since i am 25 I feel more connected to the 90s than the 80s of Vice City.

Jesus, I'm excited too, but my friggin god.....
CosmicBills replied to CentralVaBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's not who they beat, it's how they looked. That is something that you and Ice are obvioulsy missing. There has been constant improvement from one week to the next (baring the Baltimore game). The team is coming together and if you cannot see it, you are trying too hard to be negative. The biggest hurdle left for this team is to show it can win on the road. If they can get that monkey off their back, this team will be in great shape for 2005. -
In NE they said game may be over at halftime
CosmicBills replied to Ray's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lori's point is even though Buffalo is half the size of Boston (not even including Prov where NE draws half their fans from), the Bills draw more fans consistently than the Pats WITHOUT the Superbowl rings. So Brady, stop trying to say "we have a 50,000 person waiting list, thus we have more/better fans". The facts don't back that up. Besides, who cares about attendence numbers. The only numbers either side should care about here are the ones on the scoreboard come Sunday night. -

I just don't see what the point is of dicussing it as fans before teh game even takes place, you know? It's as if we are already making excuses for a Bills loss before the team even plays a down. If there is something egregious during the game, then by all means discuss it, but why predict it? It's not like either team has a say on the matter. -
Bills may be able to beat the Pats..
CosmicBills replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just made this statement on another thread, but since this one is devoted to the subject, it's worth repeating here (I guess...lol) Disscussing bad officiating even before the game is played is in poor taste. It's like we are preparing to lose before the BIlls even step onto the field. What's the point? Sure, the Bills (and other teams) have been screwed by the refs (do we need to remember the "just give it to 'em" game in Foxboro?). But that is part of the game. I do not subscribe to the belief that the Pats get any more breaks than any other team from the Zebras. The difference is that the Pats, at least over the past 3 years, have been able to capatalize on MORE of the breaks they get than any other team. That's not bad officiating, that's just good football. -
Once you master one weapon (either the pistol or uzi) you get a third challenge (the Shotgun). Then once you master one more you get the 4th challenge, the AK47. I dunno, I found them kinda fun and they seemed to bump up my stats. Stealing cars and taking them somewhere abandoned (the construction lot in SanFiero is perfect for this) and shooting the hell out of them till they blow up is good too, but you already mentioned that so I was trying to give ya something different. I only reached master with the Pistols (silenced and reg), Shotgun, Micro SMG, and M4. I didn't use many of the other weapons, the DE is too slow for me, I just like the dual pistols:) Of course the M4, in my opinion, is the best weapon and becomes almost a necessity later on in the game.

Do you really want to compair the population size of Boston, Providence, Conn vs Buffalo, Rochester, Toronto? As for the discussion of the Refs, I agree (gasp!) with Hollywood and Brady that discussing bad officiating even before the game is played is in poor taste. Sure, the Bills (and other teams) have been screwed by the refs (do we need to remember the "just give it to 'em" game in Foxboro?). But that is part of the game. The shooting range challenges at the Ammu-Nations help too:)

I love the storyline stuff in GTA games, and think this one was the best. I am going back now to get the 100 percent, but finding Horseshoes, Grafetti (sp?) Tags, Oysters isn't as much fun to me as the main story. However, I did do all the schools (minus the boating) and did tons of gambling (made millions on OTB! Gotta love that) and pool. Overall this is one of the best games I have ever played:)

Scouting Report on Willis McGahee
CosmicBills replied to Like A Mofo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think a lot of that comes down to expierence. Emmitt Smith used to say it took him almost 2 seasons to learn how not to take "that big hit". And so far, I haven't seen Willis take any "big hits", but since he is such a big target, it's only a matter of time. One thing to factor into this scouting report is that during the year Willis had to rehab, the Bills' training staff bulked him up, TD said he added over 15 pounds of muscle since he was drafted. It is almost as if the staff was already preparing Willis for the pounding his style induces. Just some thoughts.
