Looks like the D has made an adjustment
CosmicBills replied to IBTG81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thats just a guess on my part. But I know the Bills (like all teams) have scouts whose sole job is to describe tendancies for the coaches who then devise their gameplan around that. -

Every team makes adjustments at half. It's rare that a team comes out and does exactly what you expect them to do in the first half. Especailly with blocking schemes and such. But if you are going to blame someone for being "off" in the first half it would fall on the scouts. It's their job to prepare printouts of each opponents tendancies in the first half etc, etc. The Bills will win this game. I just know it. -
Baltimore needs to lose today too. Come on Cats!
-
Yeah, this is an almost "no win" game. Either team winning (the Jets/Houston I mean) is kinda bad. But I guess its better that the Jests lose. Course as I was typing they just took the lead.

The Bills will still win this game. I have confidence in the half time adjustments.

Why is everyone worried about tomorrow's...

24 to 21 at half. Now you know. That's why they play the game. -
what the hell is going on out there?

Its not over. The Bills will still win. They make excellent half time adjustments. This is a fluky first half, the Bills will come out and take the game in the third quarter. I hope -

It's also on the road. I am confident in a Bills victory tomorrow, but anytime you play a division opponent it's tougher than you usually expect. -
I know you're joking, but that still would be so cool. If only!

If for nothing else, every Bills fan should love Manning for taking the only thing Marino had away from him:)
-
Of course he is. Yet they won the national championship as soon as he left. Elway never wore the tag simply because he led so many fourth quarter comebacks before the superbowl disasters. But...he also MADE it to the big dance. Something Manning has yet to do. Don't get me wrong Jay. I like Manning. I think he is a class guy with a great head and arm. If more athletes were as professional as him, sports would be so much better in general. But he needs to win a ring before he can be propelled into the Top 10 QBs of all time and erase the choker label that follows him around. I for one will be rooting for him to do so. I just don't see it happening this year.

What about in college? Ask Tennessee fans how they feel about Peyton's performances in big games? Particularly vs Florida. He couldn't win there either. 3 time is a fluke, 8 years of it then it becomes a pattern. Until he breaks that pattern he will rightfully wear the choke chain. Still, if the Bills don't make it, I will be rooting for him and Indy. I just can't pick em until Manning shows he can do it when it counts.

Bold predicion:Bills finish 10-6....
CosmicBills replied to 2003's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I must be hanging out with Ricky Williams too much, eh? The 9ers game just smells like a trap game to me. Going out west, facing the worst team in football...it just could turn out bad. But I think the Bills will win. I would bet on it. Still, thinking about the 'what ifs' in that game makes me cringe a little bit -
Exactly. The calls only made a difference because the Colts got outplayed in the first three quarters. Had the Colts made the early plays instead of the 4 picks, those calls wouldn't have made a difference.

Dumb question: I see that people have commented on other's blogs, but how do you read the comments? Everytime I click on it from the main page it just brings me to the Blog entry. Thanks!

Bold predicion:Bills finish 10-6....
CosmicBills replied to 2003's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I see 10-6 or 9-7. The only game left on the schedule that scares me is Cincy. Pittsburgh would worry me if it were on the road. But it isn't. Call me crazy, but man for man I like the Bills a lot better than I do the Steelers. The Bills will win that game even if Pitt is playing for something. The 49ers also worry me a bit because its a long trip out there. The fins worry me just because they are a division team. But I still think the Bills best them both. That leaves Cleveland and Cincy. The Bills won't lose to the Browns at home but playing in Cincy will be tough. -
No. ICE Indy will not win the AFC. They will be on the road and Peyton has a habbit of choking in meaningful games. Frankly I think if Baltimore makes it into the playoffs they will knock Indy off in round 1. NE is still the team to beat in the NFL, not just the AFC.

Aren't they the couple that like to do it in public places too? I read somewhere once that they had sex in the clubhouse during the 7th inning right after he got pulled from the game. I never knew what she looked like till now.

There was a "rumor" that was floated out after the Arod/Sori trade that the Yanks had a handshake deal with Sori. Basically it was rumored that they Yanks said they would sign Sori next year (when he becomes a FA, he only has one year left on his deal) to big money and bring him back to NY. Sori is going to demand BIG money next off season. Texas wants to trade him and get something for him before he flies the coop. I'm not saying I believe in the handshake story, but knowing the Yankees, it wouldn't surprise me. So don't be too quick to say the Yanks got robbed. They may very well have both Arod and Sori back in the fold in a year or two with the Rangers still paying a large chunk of Arod's salary.

I had high hopes for Javy. I still think he will be a good one. I will be sad to see him go. To get Randy would be a nice parting gift however. -
A couple that haven't been mentioned: Glory Memphis Belle
