  1. I think (and I could be wrong) it was because Reed was back active plus they needed to activate Shaud Williams in case Burns got hurt.
  2. If they lose to the Pats that would put them at 6-7. 7 loses will eliminate them from almost every possible scenario. Plus if they win they will be ROLLING on a two game win streak over two tough teams. And given how bad the Bills tend to be on the road, I would rather face a deflated Cincy team on the road than a second string Steeler team at the Ralph. You know?
  3. I'm with ya. Especially since there is a chance even at 10-6 the Bills won't make the playoffs. That would mean playing Pitt at full strength would be our only playoff game and it would be so sweet to win it.
  4. Yes, Smith came in and got burned the first play. I am not sure how many lineman were dressed but I know Jason Peters was inactive as was McFarland. So I think Smith was the last able bodied man on the roster.
  5. I agree with you VA. I would rather have Cincy eliminated this week than worry about Pittsburgh. If the Bills had to go into Pitt on 1/2 then I would be singing a different tune. But if the Bills are 9-6 heading into the Pittsburgh game there is NO WAY the Bills will lose regardless of whether or not Pitt plays their starters. Playing a playoff game at home will be too much for the Steelers to overcome. I say bring it on.
  6. I refuse to worry about Pittsburgh until that final game. Until then I will hold fast in my belief that a meaningful game played in the Ralph on 1/2 will be won by the Bills regardless of who they line up against.
  7. Why do the Bengals need to beat the pats?
  8. It was. But he is one of the best locker room guy the Bills have. Plus the line is really starting to gell, the last thing they need is to have to replace a bookend LT this off season. It would cause a big mess in my mind.
  9. Let's take it one week at a time to save the confusion. Look at it this way: We ABSOLUTELY need the following to happen next week: 1) Win over Clevland 2) Jets lose to Pittsburgh Those are must haves. The rest of these games would be nice but don't hurt if they go the other way: Broncos lose to Miami Ravens lose to NYG Jags lose to Chicago So all we need next weekend is the Jets to lose to Pittsburgh and to beat Clevland. Then we will worry about everything else at this time next sunday.
  10. Great find! That is good stuff.
  11. NanaAna just posted this link on another thread. It is a breakdown of everyone's remaining scheduel and what would need to happen for teh Bills. It's a great find! http://patriots.scout.com/2/326360.html
  12. I love P-Diddy. In fact, his is the only jersery I have ever bought. But still, I would rather have JJ back than P-Diddy. That's just me though.
  13. Or, if NE or Pitt slips a notch or two Indy would be forced to win the last game to have a shot at a first round bye. Wishful thinking, but anything is possible.
  14. Or the Bills could go to SD. Not sure which one is better. I would LOVE to play the Colts (a real test for the Defense) but I am a sick individual.
  15. VERY clutch kick. Come on Big Ben!
  16. Good grief. I hope Big Ben has a miracle drive up his sleeve. He is going to need it!
  17. It sounds like a good plan. I think there are a lot of NFL teams that would do that especially since the QB class in this draft will be very weak. I could see SF going for that (the Dolphins dont have many picks to deal this year after trading for Feely). But let's remember this IS the chargers. lol Who knows what they will do.
  18. You read my mind, I was just typing that in another thread. He really is going to be good down the road. I only wish they had been able to work out his extension this year. God, I hope he stays in the Red White and Blue for a long time.
  19. HAHAHHAHAHA! Did you guys hear Paul on the broadcast? He goes to Theisman: "At least I didn't get my leg broken!" I love Pauly.
  20. Hahaha, kind of. When showing the P-Diddy INT for a TD he said, "He circles a LOT of wagons!"
  21. Great list! Here's my attempt: 1. Forget worrying about the playoffs. The scenarios will drive you nuts. Focus on going 10-6. If 10-6 isn't enough for the playoffs, so be it. But finishing 10-6 after starting 0-4 will have the Bills heading into 05 with a full head of steam. 2. T. McGee gets better at CB every game. I have no doubt this kid can be a solid No.2 corner in the future. 2a. Same with Baker. He will be a good FS in the upcoming years. 3. Perhaps the most undervalued player on the Bills roster is M.Price. This guy is maybe the best backup OL in the league. He steps in and does his job without any praise. 4. Tim Anderson finally played and was in on a tackle. It was nice to see the 3rd round pick get some snaps. 5. Jason Taylor's strip on W.McGahee was one of the most heads up defensive plays I've seen all year. Even though I can't stand Taylor, he is as smart a player as there is in the league. 6. Perhaps MM's best decision all season came when he first took the job and decided to retain Jerry Gray as DC. This was the first sign that we had a good coach, he was willign to put ego aside and stay with Gray instead of trying to pick his "own" coach like most new Head coaches do. 7. The Dolphins played HARD today, but they are still a bad football team. 8. Lindell is overpaid. 9. Drew Bledsoe will be the starter in 05. MM will say all the right things in preseason ("It's Drew's job to lose,") but in reality he will chose Drew because he has gotten more comforatable in MM's system each week. 9a. JP will be the Bills opening day starter in '06. 10. It's so nice to see the Bills playing winning football again.
  22. One key thing not to forget about JJ is how extremely popular he is in the locker room. When people talk about "Locker room guys" they are talking about JJ. He is a very important influence to keep around on this team. I'm not saying over pay for him, but he should be priority number one this off season. Another thing to consider, I have heard JJ say repeatedly that he wants to be a sports agent when his playing days are through. He is VERY smart and will demand the absolute BEST deal possible. He knows the cap better than most GMs and knows what Buffalo can afford and what they cannot. If he only cares about money he is gone. If he wants to stay here, he will have to give a hometown discount. Just food for thought.
  23. Wow, I think Leftwich got a concussion on that drive. He didn't know where his own sideline was. Not good for the jags. Good for the Bills, but I never root for injuries (unless it's to R.Harrison )
