Making the playoffs is now straight forward.
CosmicBills replied to ICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Cincy game will only worry me if they beat the Pats this weekend. If they do then look out because they will be rolling after knocking off the Ravens and Pats back to back. If they lose to the pats, they are essentially out of the playoff hunt and their fans know it. They will be dangerous still, but deflated. An early lead would do them in. So root hard (gulp) for the Pats this weekend. -
UConn is better than Pitt in my mind. As a Cuse fan, UConn scares me more than any other team simply because they know eachother so well. Cuse is way off tonight, but so is OSU. This game looks more like a HS game at the moment. Expect one team to come out BLAZING in the second half and take control.

No. Good guess though. Hint: He was in training camp this year.

Trivia question: Which former Bills D-Lineman discovered Kanye and was the first to sign him before passing him off to his current lable?

Buffalo will NOT make the playoffs
CosmicBills replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the Bills made it, that would mean they are heading into Indy as the hottest team in the league. Indy would not be happy to see the Bills coming into town. And the Bills match up favoribly with Indy. It wouldn't be a destruction. In fact if anyteam (outside of NE) has a chance to beat Indy in Indy it's the Bills at the moment. -
The dirty little truth about resigning Jennings
CosmicBills replied to Fake-Fat Sunny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I made a comment on an earlier thread about this that fits nicely with this topic. There are two things to keep in mind with JJ that don't show up on the field. First, he is (by every player's own admission that I have heard) one of the most popular locker room guys on the team. Both offense and defense love this guy, he is one of the leaders in the locker room. Anyone who has listened to WCMF's training camp interviews with Jonas knows what I mean. This is something that I value more than others, but it would be a HUGE blow to the locker room to lose a guy like JJ. Secondly, JJ has said several times that he plans on being a sports agent when he hangs up the spikes. The guy is very smart and knows the cap as well as most GMs do. You have to assume he is going to do everything he can to ensure that he gets the best possible deal that is on par with the other LTs in the league. However, since he knows the cap so well that he knows EXACTLY what the Bills will be able to afford next year. What that means is simple, if he wants to be in Buffalo he will find a way to give them a deal that works for both sides. But, if he really wants to go home to Georgia there is nothing the Bills can do. Personally I think it is imperative that the Bills resign JJ. This line is coming together really well and to lose an anchor and a leader the caliber of JJ wil set back the whole unit's development. Especially if the replacement is Teague or Peters. But it's all up to JJ. -

Random Peyton Manning Question

In all his years as the QB Tenn had 2 losses. One I know for sure was to Florida, I figured the other was a bowl game. Not sure though. -

Random Peyton Manning Question
CosmicBills replied to CosmicBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That was the year after he graduated (I believe). -
How many Bowl games did Manning win while at Tennessee? I'm just curious. I've been one of the ones saying he has never won a big game (outside of last years wins over Denver and KC). But I realized I don't know my history! I know he never beat Florida in college, but what about bowl games? Educate my ignorant behind!

Of course you all realize what we're hoping for...

If that happens I have no doubt the Bills will beat Indy. B) -

They said it was too little to late, but next year looks good. -
Someone please tell me TD is friggin kidding?
CosmicBills replied to ICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bledsoe has the stats to be a HOF. Not a first ballot, but a sure fire HOF candidate. I am not talking about the numbers he put up as a Bill, but those he put up as a Patriot. Whether he is the answer or not ICE, he will be a HOF QB. -
Was listening to WFAN 660 in NYC before
CosmicBills replied to Like A Mofo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The reality right now amungst those in the NFL is no one wants to play the Bills right now. I'm not saying there isn't a team that can beat the Bills, just that no one wants to see the Bills on their schedule down the stretch. -
ICE, please just answer me this. Forgetting the QB situation completely for a moment. Are you happy that this team is 6-6 right now and has a great shot at getting at least 9 wins for the first time in a very long time? I'm not trying to be an ass at all, just curious.
-
It takes a strong person to make a stand, but an even stronger one to admit he was wrong. Kudos to Mr. Sullivan.
-
Wow, didn't know that. But who cares if the offense didn't do it all themselves. It is a team game afterall. It hopefully is a sign of very good things to come!

ICE, please just answer me this. It will go a long way towards stopping the personal attacks on both sides of this Drew issue: Forgetting the QB situation completely for a moment. Are you happy that this team is 6-6 right now and has a great shot at getting at least 9 wins for the first time in a very long time? I'm not trying to be an ass at all, just curious.

The Bengals game scares me the most
CosmicBills replied to Justice's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As long as the Bengals lose to the Pats this weekend, the Bengals game should be very winable. If the Bengals somehow beat the Pats, that would give them a serious boost (knocking off both Baltimore and NE back to back) and they would ride into that game amped up. Then I would worry...alot. -

Amen! Also, throw in Manning's uncanny ability to choke in big games. -

Call me crazy (and I am) but I think the Bills would have a good shot vs Indy in the dome in the playoffs. First, because if that were to happen it would mean the Bills would have run the table and will have won 10 of their last 12 games. (talk about hot) Second, our offense could shred Indy's D. Third, our defense would be a handful for the Colts, I don't care how hot Manning is. I'm not saying the Bills would definitely win (I'm not THAT crazy) but I think the Bills would have the best shot of beating Indy in Indy outside of NE. -
It's very, very unlikely that both wildcard spots will go to AFC East teams. I know it's possible but the law of averages are against it. And if the Jets lose to Pittsburgh it will make the Seahawk game very interesting. Plus the more losses for the Jets the better, just on general principle:)
