  16. The minutes are ticking by. Each of us grows anxious as the hour approaches. Never in our wildest dreams could we have envisioned how far we have come. But the toughest battle lies ahead. Not the one in Buffalo tomorrow, but the one in each of our own hearts as we watch, helpless, the events unfold in St. Louis and Denver. As we steel ourselves for this impeding day of angst, we should also reflect on how far we have come as fans over the past five months. We’ve bashed Bledsoe. We’ve supported Bledsoe. We’ve called TD crazy, we’ve called him a genius. We’ve debated the very sanity of a man known only as ICE. We’ve seen threads jump from 1 page to 20 over someone’s homework assignment and Ron Artest’s right to protect himself from a plastic cup. We have even witnessed “the single most embarrassing upset in the past five years”. Yet despite our differences, we’ve kept coming back to the board to root on our team (or to pick on Patriot fans…). I wanted to thank everyone in this community for a great year. Hopefully tomorrow we will have something more to cheer about than just a 10-6 record. But if not, let’s appreciate how great it is to be a member of the TBD community. GO BILLS (and Rams and Colts)
  17. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2004/writ...koff/index.html "Pittsburgh at Buffalo Cold rain in Orchard Park Sunday. Yecch. No Roethlisberger, and from the sounds of things, no Bettis or Duce either. The only man standing between the Bills and the playoffs could very be Verron Haynes. Buffalo 14, Pittsburgh 10 N.Y. Jets at St. Louis Indoors, the fast rug, playoffs on the line for both teams, and I'm going with Marc Bulger over Chad Pennington. St. Louis 24, Jets 23 Indianapolis at Denver Forecast for Sunday in Denver: 53, low winds, sun. If Peyton Manning plays the whole game, which I don't see happening (I see him playing a half), Colts put up 35. If not, this score happens. Trevor Pryce, this is why they pay you the big bucks. Denver 23, Indianapolis 21" At least one guy thinks the Bills will make it in. Too bad it's Peter King.
  18. If the Jets win, the Bills won't make it. The Colts won't play their starters for long if the Jets win in anticipation of a Saturday WC game. So LET'S GO RAMS!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Basically what it comes down to is the Jets game. If they lose, that means Dungy will play his starters longer...but it won't matter since the Bills will have clinched by then. If the Jets win, then Dungy won't play his starters for long which means the Bills are screwed. This blows.
  20. No, it has to do with WHEN they will play next weekend. There is a chance they could have a Saturday playoff game depending on the Jets/Rams game. If thats the case then don't expect Manning and Co. for very long at all (since it would be a short week). If they play on Sunday, then Manning would play longer. That's the issue.
  21. That would be nice, but it's not very realistic. The draft and FA market is deep at RB currently and Trav probably won't agree to a trade without the other team making some sort of extension offer on his deal. I think the best the Bills can hope for is a 2nd rounder (and that is steep) with a conditional second pick for 2006 (maybe as high as a 3rd but probably a 4th or 5th). The most realistic offer from Cleveland would be a 4th rounder, possibly a 3rd, with a conditional pick in 06. That being said, I think the Bills would be better served keeping Trav for another year at a minimum salary...assuming he would be as professional as he has been this year. (and that's a big assumption).
  22. He's just going to back up Delgado when he signs.
  23. The play I have been waiting to see is one that I saw them run at least a half a dozen times in training camp this year. But they cannot do it unless JP is the No.2 QB. The play goes: JP under center (or in shotgun), trips on one side of the field with Drew lined up in that bunch of WRs. JP throws (laterals) to Drew who then throws it deep to Evans (or Moulds) who's running a fly. They had a varriation of the play as well where Drew was QB and JP was split wide, but instead of throwing it he ran and pitchted it back to Evans (kinda like a hook and ladder). It was wild stuff. And I think we would have seen it this year had JP not gone down in training camp.
  24. I'll look for you on Sunday. I'm in section 129 (row 35)!
