Well, maybe not. Charlie Rogers is probably done with football. Once you break a collar bone, it never heals and keeps rebreaking. He's already done it twice. This is just an insurance policy (not to mention the best player in the draft). I don't expect Rogers to make it through another NFL season healthy.

Much 'ado about nothing I guess. Thank God.

Sure there is if teams like Clevland and others are trying to move out of the second round and jump ahead of St.Louis and GB.

Someone will trade up for him (like GB or St.Louis)

Does the Surtain Deal Trigger ...
CosmicBills replied to Mark VI's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's the key point right there. Right now we can afford Nate. Being forced to sign a number 6 (or 9) draft pick, in a draft that is VERY weak at the top, would cripple the team's cap for 05. What happens if there's a training camp injury? Or how do they afford to sign the rest of their picks? Everything that I have heard from people leads me to believe there is no way, ZERO, that NC gets traded. Thank god. -
I think I would much rather see TD trade Trav for another 2 round pick. I would rather have 2 2nd rounders than a first rounder and no second. JMO

The next Madden cover has GUESS WHO on it
CosmicBills replied to Talonz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Makes sense since the big innovation this year in the game is "QB Vision Passing" or something. Last year it was Defense (thus Ray-Ray), they needed a QB. Good for McNabb! -
From everything I have heard, there are no plans at OBD to move Clements to Washington or to anyone for that matter. However, I think it's a foregone conclusion that Travis is already gone. He will be shipped out on draft day. The only question is where. TD will make a move, I just don't believe it will be as big a splash as last year.

(OT) LOST Article in EW this week
CosmicBills replied to CosmicBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes I did say that and still believe it to be true. What the EW article says is Locke believes it to be in the best interest which doesn't necessarily mean it actually is... I think Locke sacrificed Boone for himself first and formost. I also believe that he did it for the others on the island as well (because he believes the Hatch to be the key to everything). I never said Locke was evil, just human and weak (meaning he was willing to sacrifice someone else to get what he wants). But if I'm right about why he apparently gets shot (and like I said, it's a TOTAL guess, I have no clue) it fits with what I stated a couple weeks ago because it would be his redemption (which everyone seemingly is looking for on the island). Still, my guess is as good as anyones. The only ones who really know what the hell is going on is Fury and Abrams lol. -
(OT) LOST Article in EW this week

As soon as I saw the clip I figured that it wouldn't be what we assume it to be. So I latched onto a theory (possibly a dumb one) about Locke and his role. Here's what EW said: "What's Locke's motive for keeping the hatch secret from the other castaways? 'His motive is revealed soon, ' says Linelof (Producer). 'Everything Locke does he believes is in the best interest of everybody. That's all I'll say.'" What I took from the preview was that Locke was going to sacrifice himself for another. Basically, I think they are going to spend an episode or two building Locke up as this bad/malicious guy who is out for himself (that's already started I think) and then he is going to step in front of a bullet to save someone else (possibley someone who has been accusing him like Jack, Sayid or Sawyer)because he is a paternal figure...it was a guess, but that little snippet makes me think I'm on the right track.... -

Sorry, I was gone all afternoon, I just PMed you:) Also, UConn, you want me to put what I think happens in Yellow font? It's just a hunch about what the preview showed...I don't know for sure. -

Just finished reading it. Nothing shocking, but still fun. Though it did confirm my thoughts about Locke's fate... -
Haven't read it yet, just picked up the mag today. Just a heads up...

LOL good point

But we don't know why Ethan was killing people. He might have had a dream too. I'm just saying I don't think it's really a circle of life thing although that was what the visual was meant to represent on the beach. It doesn't fit totally, I don't have any theories as to why though so you may very well be right.

Yeah, I hate how spaced out it is too. Though I am psyched if there really are 6 episodes left. I said there were 4 because I thought that's what I read on the old thread here (in fact I thought it was from you...lol). I am just upset at the previews because they showed a little too much. But it was a good show tonight I thought. Not great, but good.
-
What's with the face? I wasn't saying you were wrong, just telling you what they said tonight after the show about the finale being 2 hours. So there are 6 left? Cool! What is the special though? I smell a behind the scenes sort of thing...
-
No, I don't think it was. The lady that Jack's father killed was married (Jack talked with the husband and he didn't know him or show any sign of angst) and she was pregnant. There is no way it was the same woman. If it were, he never would have been allowed to opperate anyway.
-
It said tonight it's a 2 hour finale. There isn't a new episode until the end of the month. Then two in May including the finale. I am pissed at the previews for next week. They showed too much....
-
I dunno...The island never gave back life to the other survivors who died this season (the ones Ethan killed). Just something to think about.

It's based on a fantastic book: Flag of our Fathers. The book is a must read for any history fans. It details the lives of the soldiers who raised the flag that day and what happened to them after the event. It's a great book. With the two brightest directors in Hollywood teaming up on the project, it's a can't miss.
