I don't think it's clear he has been there since the 80s. In fact I would say its the opposite (my above post). What is clear is that the ROOM (hatch) has been there since at least the 80s.

I think it was most likely a vaccine shot...but that opens up a ton of addional questions: 1) Who sent this guy to the island? It appears that he was training to go to this place. So, it is logical to assume someone (government perhaps?) sent him there and gave him all that equipment. 2) If someone sent him there, what for? What is his job? It appears he was to be locked in the quarentine box, given vaccines and equipment to monitor the island...yet the equipment looks OLD. Which makes one assume that this sort of survelience on the island has been going on for a long time (at least since the 1980s). 3) WHEN did he get there? What is the time line between when Sarah was fixed and when the plane went down? Couldn't be more than 10 years...probably closer to 5. So this guy hasn't been down there THAT long. And, if he hasn't been down there that long, that means whatever they are giving him injections against is probably still on the island (afterall, if he was down there for 20 or 30 years, we COULD assume that whatever viral threat he was vaccinating himself against has past since none of the survivors seems to have been affected...) 4) Finally, the 3rd question kind of leads into this, if the virus (for lack of a better term) is still out there, still worth being vaccinated against, what does that mean for everything we have seen to date? Could all the monsters, "others", "French woman" etc be some sort of drawn out hallucination or effect from the bug? (I bet not...but that is certainly possible given the new evidence). That's a heap of new twists to sort through...and the more you answer one (or all) of those questions, the more f'd up the mystery gets...

What do you know more about than anyone here?

I know more about how NOT to get laid than anyone here. -
So in the beginning, was he injecting Steroids or a vaccine? If a vaccine...then for what?

[Entertainment] LOST discussion thread
CosmicBills replied to duey's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They just repeated the Locke scene in which he says: "I've lived with this condition for four years..." to the Walkabout guide. So I guess that answers that bit. Can't wait for 9pm! -
[Entertainment] LOST discussion thread
CosmicBills replied to duey's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sorry it took me so long to get back, I was running around since yesterday... I have been indoctornating (sp?) my roommate with LOST and we just finished the first 4 episodes (ending with Walkabout). There is a point in that episode where Locke says "I've been living with this for four years...". I will go back and check after class today, but I am fairly certain it's during the argument with the walkabout guide... But I think you have good points, there is a connection somehow between Locke and Jack. I just don't know how/why yet. -

Locke had only been in the chair for four years prior to the beginning of the show. While I agree that Jack did not do his surgery (as you said, Jack would remember), the timeline isn't inconceivable. -
JP has only completed 16 passes in the past 6 quarters... That has to change.

John Clayton's 1st and 10 take on Bills vs. Bucs
CosmicBills replied to BillsObserver's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In the preseason I had this marked as the only sure-fire W in the first 4 games for the Bills... ...however, that was before the Bucs went into Minny and dominated... So I tend to agree with Clayton's comments. I don't fear the Bucs offense at all, but if the Bills don't get some better production in the redzone this week, then it might be a long day for the Offense. The key to the game is to get up early (big surprise) like Clayton said so that JP isn't forced to win the game in the 2nd half. I still think the Bills win this game, though it isn't as certain as I thought it was only 2 weeks ago... -
Will Parish have an impact on Sunday
CosmicBills replied to coltrane34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The NFL Network had him listed as questionable this morning...not that it means very much at this point. -
Of course you don't HAVE to do anything. But if you don't then you are going to miss out on appreciating one of the best players ever to play the game.

Like I said, I don't care how bad Oakland's D has looked. Brady makes great decisions and all the throws. People thinking it's all the system, or all the coaches, are in for a shock this year. I hate the Pats, but you have to give the guy his due. He is a machine.
-
Charlie Weis who? Tom Brady is unreal. I don't care if Oakland does suck. The guy is already one of the best ever and he's not even 30 friggin' years old.

Duke Preston might start this weekend

Who is he going to start over? BA or CV (since CV is banged up)? -
ROLL CALL... who will be there Sunday?
CosmicBills replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll be there with my brother. Section 129!!! I am driving up from Boston Saturday night! Can't wait! -
What do you make of this little tid-bit? Is Dr. Z doing shoddy reporting (basing his analysis on JP's pre-draft criticism of being 'cocky') or do his teammates really not like him? Just found it interesting. "I'm trying hard to get away from the obvious ... kind of an "It all hinges on QB J.P. Losman" type of approach ... but how can you do it, honestly? If he's as good as they say, OK, playoffs, even though the O-line is not that good. If he's what other people say, then he's a me-me-me guy -- immature and not overly liked. We'll see..." http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/writ...lanation/3.html

We need one more for our Yahoo league. PM me if interested.
-
We need at least one more person to get to 10. Three more would give us 12. Draft is in 90 minutes...should be fun!
-
1 pt for every 25 yards passing 1 pt for every 10 yards rushing/receiving 6 pts per TD -2 for int/fumbles Defense scores points and can cost you points pretty standard
-
I messed up, draft is at 6...still spots available!
-
4 to 6 spots left! Anyone?
-
I have a Yahoo league going off tonight (Draft at 6:30pm) and we need 5 more people. If anyone is interested, PM me for the details. It is possibly (depending on who we get) a money league. We initially had 12 people for a money league but a bunch dropped out. Sorry for the short notice! Sorry for posting this outside of the Fantasy forum -- just wanted more people to see it.
-
I am running a 50 dollar buy in league on Yahoo with a bunch of friends...but now people are backing out on me. We have 5 people so far, need at least 5 more. If you are interested, the draft is tonight, send me a PM. Thanks!

Watch this guy get a straight beating
CosmicBills replied to DerekChronicles's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dunno. It looks to me like the people video taping it were with the ones doing the beating. It looked like it was a set up...the goal being to get the fight on tape...so I doubt that tape wound up in any evidence locker. Instead they sold it to some internet site and made a buck. Could be wrong, but that's how it looked to me.
