  1. Okay, cool. Thanks, AD.
  2. Random question: when a private contractor develops weapons, who tests them? Does the company do so itself without military assistance, or does the military test them while the contractors supervise? Does anyone work for a weapons contractor ... or perhaps the military guys here would know.
  3. It's all part of a plan ... we layed down THIS game, so that when we play them in the playoffs we can sneak attack! Just like the Chinese and Pearl Harbor. Brilliant I tell you! BRILLIANT!
  4. Well that sucked. 4 turnovers to 0 usually equals a whoopin'. I still don't get how this thing simulates. They did exactly what we thought they would do ... we're better at every position ... and they still tore through us like paper. Oh well. We'll just make ourselves feel better by beating up some Cows this Friday. How does that sound?
  5. The link for our game is: http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game...81&mode=pbp Though it looks like they may have changed it so we can't watch live anymore. Instead, once the game is simulated, they will have a "WATCH" or "SHOW SCORE" button. "Watch" will reveal the game play by play in a suspenseful way ... Show score does just what it says. Bummer. No more "watching" games unfold together.
  6. Week 10 GAME PLAN: MEATBALLS vs RAZORBACKS 5/14/08 SCOUTING REPORT: The undefeated Razorbacks have the highest scoring offense and the second best defense in the league. They have two top HBs but also boast the league's most efficient passing game. On Defense, they have one of the top pass rushers in the game as well as the league's best run defense. On the surface, it appears intimidating. But a breakdown of position by position, we are the stronger team on paper. Of course, the games aren't played on paper (does a computer sim count as on paper??). So the coaches have done an extensive workup on their tendencies and put together the following game plan. We're going to be very balanced offensively. It seems that is the key to winning the evenly matched games. We went too far in the extreme against the Longnecks and it bit us in the ass. We won't make that mistake again. We're going to have to run and pass the ball to win this week. And we're going to have to be able to stop both as well. The coaches as that our D-Lineman and LBs adjust their tactics to RUN FIRST and WRAP UP. OFFENSIVE GAME PLAN Rushing Attack: (52%) Our backfield is deep with Glow, Win and Dizzy leading the way. Teams have not found success on the ground against these guys, but I think it's a bit misleading because teams have been behind by so much they've been forced to abandon the run game. We will stick to ours to make sure we keep their high flying offense off the field and keep our D fresh. Our O-Line is better than any they've faces so far, we should open some holes. We will run 47% inside and 53% outside to take advantage of their weak spots on D. Passing Attack: (48%) Sloth has leveled up to 16 and is fresh off the heels of his first 300 yard performance. Banks and Jobu are deep threats, while Kirk, Smalls and Ginsberg are able targets. Our TEs have also come on strong. We have spent the past few games focusing on the passing game and now it's time to put all that work into action. We can take advantage of the Razorback's secondary. They have a great SS and some good CBs, but not much depth. Our WR corps is much deeper and we should find some lanes. We'll throw 32% of our passes short, 42% medium and 26% long. DEFENSIVE GAME PLAN Blitz Package: (4%) We are going to play it safe and beat them straight up. We'll use our blitzes sparingly and focus on making good, clean tackles at the line of scrimmage. I'd ask that everyone set their tackles to WRAP UP. We have to stop them at the line of scrimmage and avoid missed tackles. Rushing Defense: (53%) They have two great running backs, but they are fairly balanced offensively. Looking at how they have started all their games, they tend to throw the ball quite a bit and settle into a heavy dose of their HBs once they have a lead. This makes me think that their settings are almost 50/50 and then the Computer AI adjusts when they take the lead. That being the case, I think it's important to stop their running game, but not overcommit to it. By having our DL and LBs focus on RUN FIRST and WRAP UP, we should stymie them. Forcing them to pass even more ... and we have the advantage when that happens. They tend to run outside a bunch, with lots of pitches and sweeps. Thus, we'll defend 47/53 inside/outside rushing lanes. Passing Defense: (47%) When the Razorbacks pass, they pass effectively. Their WR corps is not deep and they have a great TE. Overall, I love our matchups here. Our CBs are deep and able, and our Safeties are as well. If we can force them to air it out, I think it benefits our strengths greatly. I'd ask that CBs play TIGHT and only go for picks when there's help over the top. And our Safeties to play medium and only go for picks if there's help up top. We're going to play 42% Zone and 58% Man to Man. We'll defend 30% vs the short routes, 50% vs the medium and 20% against the deep ball. GO MEATBALLS!
  7. Reminds me of this documentary. DEF NOT SAFE FOR WORK!!!! But the trailer is hilarious. "Our demographic is mainly ... truckers."
  8. Winning tomorrow is easy. Winning Wednesday is tougher.
  9. I'm leaning towards this Defensive Package right now: 4% Blitzing 55% run defense, 45% pass 50/50 inside outside run D 45% zone, 55% man D 30% short, 50% medium, 20% long passes. And for Offense, this: 2% Computer AI adjustment 52% Run, 48% pass 47% inside, 53% outside rushing 97% HB, 3% FB 32% Short, 45% Med, 23% long passes 77% to WR, 21% TE, 2% HB (targets)
  10. It's funny because on paper, we're better than them at every position. We have 24 players ranked 14 or above to their 18. However, we do have a handful of level 8s as 3rd stringers whereas they have none. I can only assume that's a factor in the computer's magical match up ratings. At least when we played you guys, you guys were better on paper at almost every position by 1 rank. I think it's cause you started your team a few days sooner. Same with the Cows and us. Of course, that's not the only factor in determining a win and a loss ... but it's not like their team is loaded with more talent. Okay ... now I'm rambling and lost my train of thought ... but there was a coherent thought in there somewhere. What a god awful post this was. Maybe I am doing too many hookers and too much blow. Damn!
  11. Team, the week is here. A chance to knock off the undefeated Razorbacks ... let's kick their ass. They are going to run the ball first and foremost. It's imperative that we shut that down. Thus, I would like every D-Lineman and Linebacker to set their ADVANCED TACTICS to: WRAP UP and RUN FIRST. When they pass, they pass effectively. I like our CB matchup though. I would ask that our CBS play CLOSE and ONLY GO FOR PICK WITH HELP OVER THE TOP. Our Safties should play MEDIUM and ONLY GO FOR PICKS WITH HELP OVER THE TOP. These settings should help us tremendously on Defense. As for Offense, we're going to be very balanced this week. I'm leaning towards a 53% running game and 47% passing game. They are very strong against the run ... though their stats are somewhat misleading. They have been up by so much in many of their games that teams have simply abandoned the run. I want to make sure we don't do that. However, we CAN pass on these guys. I'm going to let Sloth throw the ball, focusing on mainly the WRs and TEs as our HBs have not been catching the ball well out of the backfield. More details to come. And PLEASE add some ideas to the gameplan if you have any. GO MEATBALLS!
  12. We'll knock off Arkansas for ya ... then we'll see you in the Championship game and try to make amends for that one
  13. You're still in room 28B right? I sent the one you like, the girl with the fake teeth so she can do that thing with her gums that you told the D-Line you like so much.
  14. It does look funny to see something other than a 0 on the opponent's side of the ledger ... if we can shut out the Razorbacks, that would be something!!!
  15. He and Willie finally hooked up for two long ones! Now we just need to get Ginsberg to stop fumbling away field position.
  16. Another good game, Meatballs! Hookers and blow for everyone! The undefeated Razorbacks are next. Game plan will be out early this time as I've already done a bunch of scouting. I'd ask that everyone make sure they get back to 100 energy (train on relaxed if you need to!!). Also, for ALL defensive players, I'd ask to set your tackling to WRAP UP. DL/LBers I'd ask set your reads to RUN FIRST
  17. Link to tomorrow's game: http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game...80&mode=pbp We're sticking to virtually the same game plan. I tweaked it so it's a bit closer to 50/50 pass to run (though more passing). Let's get this win so we can focus on the Razorbacks!!!! GO MEATBALLS!!!!
  18. In the Bible, Jacob is Aaron's great, great grandfather. So, does that mean he's Christian's grandfather and Jack, Clair and Aaron's great, great grandfather too?
  19. Great win, guys! 7-1 ... the showdown with Arkansas is just around the corner.
  20. Sorry guys, I don't have time to do a write up, work's been kicking my ass. However, I have crafted a game plan. We're going to take some chances this week and hope it works! Here's the link to the live feed for tomorrow morning: http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game...79&mode=pbp GAME PLAN: MEATBALLS vs DINOS Strangely, the match up screen says the Dinos are weaker against the pass than the run -- even though their D-Line is horrid and their CBs are not shabby (on paper). Still, we want to try something new this week to get practice for the tougher games. We need to really see what our passing game can do. I think, even though the Dinos are the worst team against the run in the league (surrendering over 220 yards a game!!!), it's a good time to switch it up. Why? Because we should win either way. We just might not get the 60 point blow out that the Longnecks or Cows got against them. That said, we're going to go 55/45 pass to run ratio, with our focus on medium routes. We'll take our shots deep too, but the majority will be medium and short. Our TEs should get more involved this week as I've upped their percentage of passing routes. On defense, the Dinos tend to throw more than run ... but most of this is because they're always behind. Last week, in their lone win of the year, they ran the ball a ton. A trend I think they'll try to continue. Still, I'm hedging bets and going 48 run and 52 pass. I'm upping our blitz package to 8% as well. CBs should try for picks, and DL and LBs are free to POWER TACKLE this game and try to cause some fumbles. We might end up with more missed tackles this way, but the Dinos HBs aren't a true threat. We'll go back to Wrapping up when we face Arkansas in 2 games. I expect us to win ... though it might not be AS pretty as it could be if we just pounded the rock 60% of the time. Sloth needs to have his day though!!!!
  21. (I still don't know what exactly the pirate smiley means ... but it looks cool?)
  22. Also, how is everyone getting along as far as snaps and PT? I have not changed our energy system in the past two weeks. We seem to be getting the heavy rotation that I wanted at HB and WR ... but what about other positions? Are people happy or getting too little snaps?
