  1. It's back in there somewhere ...
  2. None that I know of. That answer was in response to Dave saying RBs are just as important as QBs in today's NFL. They're not. I wasn't saying they should have taken Clausen or Tebow.
  3. First of all it's tgreg. One G. Second of all, if that's my average I'm fine with it. But I think most people would disagree on here. And if that was supposed to be a funny dig. Step your game up. It was pathetic.
  4. I told you yesterday, I don't know much about the big men at all in this draft. I'm not a draft gurur at all. I really didn't care who they picked here as long as it wasn't a RB or DB because it flat out makes no sense.
  5. The epic fail was to make you laugh, Mike. We're friends! I'm not talking about making the playoffs. I'm talking about winning super bowls. You can't win one without a franchise QB in today's league.
  6. HAHAHAHAHA! THANK YOU DENVER!!!!!!!
  7. The Bills' salary cap. Which we all know is far less than the rest of the leauge. All the more reason not to tie up a huge chunk of it in one position that isn't as vital as others.
  8. Fail. Epic fail. The Jets made it that far based on their defense. And, they didn't win the super bowl. All I care about are super bowls. Can't do it without a franchise QB. I personally don't think Sanchez is that guy -- but he's a hell of a lot better than anyone on the Bills current roster.
  9. (sigh) ... Okay, let me say this once more to make it clear. I am NOT SAYING they should have used the 9th pick on a QB if they didn't have a first round grade on Clausen, Tebow or McCoy. I'm NOT SAYING they should have used their 9th pick on an OT they had rated 5th or 6th best. I'm NOT SAYING they should have used their 9th pick on a NT they felt was not worth a first round pick. I AM saying that RB is the one position where the Bills are STACKED with talent. It's also the one position you don't want to tie up a ton of cap dollars in since it's one of the easiest positions to fill in FA and the lower rounds of the draft. I AM saying that the people who think RBs are still the most important players on the field are stuck in the 90s, if not 80s. This is a passing league where a good passing game covers for the sins of a weak running game. Look at the past super bowl winners -- how many first round RBs are on those rosters? Bush? Maybe one more. But Bush was (and still is) a joke in the NFL until Drew got to New Orleans. I AM saying that with huge holes at WR, LB, DL, OL, and QB the Bills could have traded down for MORE picks to fill MORE holes rather than take a RB who they're now saying isn't an every down player. Or, they could have taken any number of the great players available to fill one of their holes. This is a pick that is designed to sell tickets. And it's already working as the lemmings are all excited already by their new "playmaker". I don't care about playmakers if they don't produce more Wins at the end of the day. And I'm sorry, I don't think Spiller will produce any more wins for the Bills than they could have with Lynch and Jackson as the primary running backs. That said, I will root like hell to be wrong.
  10. It would be nice. But chances are slim.
  11. The point isn't whether Young is or isn't the answer. The point is at the time they took Johnson they thought he was. So there wasn't a need at QB. And their line is 10x better than the Bills.
  12. Um ... they didn't win a playoff game until Favre got there. Sorry, that's not wrong, it's a fact. And I didn't say they passed on Favre. But the point is that you need a QB to win in this league. A RB alone can't do it. And by taking a RB over any other number of players that could fill the HUGE HOLES on the roster, it's a disaster.
  13. Adrian Peterson didn't win a playoff game till they got a QB in there. Johnson hasn't done anything in the playoffs either. They're not "wrong" picks because both teams were in far better shape than the Bills when they picked them. But the idea that you need a superstar RB to win a super bowl is OLD SCHOOL THINKING. You don't. In fact, recent history shows you can get equal production (if not more) by using a RB by committe approach with lesser paid players. That's the whole !@#$ing point.
  14. Yeah. Fisher also already had an OL, DL and what he believed to be their franchise QB in place. Not a good example. Sorry.
  15. So then, 3 years from now when we tire of Spiller and draft yet another first round RB, what will Spiller become? Just another Roscoe Parish?
  16. I'll root like hell for Spiller and the Bills. But this is a huge red flag that this team is not in good hands.
  17. Read my posts and show me where I said any of what you infered from that. I've never said anything close to that. You're just not reading what I'm saying. Go back through, look at my post history. It'll make sense to you, I promise.
  18. The fact that you don't understand that point is why you don't understand the modern NFL. Look at all the starting RBs in the league and where they were drafted (if they even were). This is a passing league. You pass to set up the run now, not the other way around. A good passing game makes your running game better and allows you to have lesser (and cheaper) talent at the RB position and still win games. The running game is not unimportant -- but having a "stud" RB is. That's the point. Your thinking is valid 10 years ago. Not now.
  19. Reading is hard. I realize this. Just sound out the bigger words.
  20. There were plenty of great players left on the board that filled HUGE HOLES on the team. RB is not a hole. And, is the least important position on the football field. That's the point.
  21. Explain to me how my logic is crazy.
  22. Wouldn't surprise me to see Clausen go to Seattle. Pete recruited Jimmy hard when he was at USC.
  23. That is flat out untrue. I've never once said the Bills are contending for a title in '10 or even '11.
  24. I'm not saying that I expected the Bills to contend this year (or even next). That's the point. They're 3-5 years away from even contending for the PLAYOFFS. Add another 3 years to contend for a title. That is assuming they build perfectly. Spiller is a guy you take when you're one playmaker away. Not a dozen.
  25. No, it's clear that the front office is content with being at the bottom of the barrell year in and year out.
