There will be no comparison. The biggest story of the day when Ralph passes won't be his legacy, it'll be "Who will buy the Bills/Where will they move". If it's LA, then Ralph's death will be totally overshadowed by the media feeding frenzy for a "new" NFL team. Sure, Ralph will get his mandatory 2 minute segment on ESPN and the major news outlets. A quick montage of highlights from the AFL and the Super Bowl run. But since he's 90+, not a very charismatic man (as far as the media goes) and the Bills have not sniffed the playoffs in over a decade -- it will be pretty irrelevant for everyone who lives outside the area or who isn't a Bills fan. But what will be relevant is WHERE the Bills go -- if anywhere at all. That will be the lead story.

The picture they used for the chick is amazing. It's just so ... fitting. And hilarious.

Good point ... My post was way funnier when I was drunk.

Spiller planning on holding out?
CosmicBills replied to billsfreak's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We're doomed! Without our number 9 pick we have no RB! It's one of our team's biggest holes! ... Oh, wait, what did you say? We have two pro bowl RBs already and CJ is going to play less than 50% of the offensive snaps anyway? Well, that changes everything. -
... cue Crayonz in: three ... two ...

It already is. And it will only get worse in my opinion. Still, it'll be a fun location. Just be safe.

They get the Olympics AND the World Cup. As if Rio wasn't scary enough already. The crime there is going to go through the f'ing roof.

HFBD, Bill!

Because Gaily has said as much ... I forget the article or quote but the idea is he's going to play less than 50% of the offensive snaps. Hard to be an every down back when you're not on the field.

Obviously Trent Edwards has been listening to crayonz
CosmicBills replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought you liked Trent? -
To be fair, I don't think anyone was adamant about it. I think there were people who were seriously (and rightfully) concerned that he wouldn't be able to recover in time for the season opener. But then again, maybe I missed those posts ...

Since Spiller isn't an every down back, I'd say Marshawn is actually the best back on the team. Freddy is great and will start, but Marshawn has more natural talent and ability. Truth is, the Bills need Marshawn. Which is why it's insane that everyone wants to drive him out of town. How many TRAINING CAMPS did Bruce Smith report late to? To paraphrase AI. Practice is overrated. Voluntary OTAs even more so.

Then it would be totally fine. Just like your sarcasm radar.

Ghost Caught on Video Tape Sets Off Burglar Alarm.

Very likely. DC Tom strikes again with the logic! -
Ghost Caught on Video Tape Sets Off Burglar Alarm.
CosmicBills replied to Steely Dan's topic in Off the Wall Archives
The bleed through is a great explanation. And could likely be the case ... though it doesn't explain the alarm going off at that exact moment ... -
Just to clarify ... by "he" do you mean the actual character? James Earl Jones? Hayden Christensen? David Prowse?

I can't believe it's been four years ... Damn.

Woman charged with adultery for public sex in Batavia park
CosmicBills replied to bbb's topic in Off the Wall Archives
For several reasons: First, it's an excessive charge. The fact that she was arrested for having sex in public is proof enough for her husband if he decides to divorce her and wanted to prove infidelity. Second, it's such an out-dated crime (by proof of how sparingly it's been used over the last 40 years). Is it illegal? Yes. Is it immoral? Certainly. But is it really something we want the authorities to police for us? It's a slippery slope. -

CosmicBills replied to bbb's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Absolutely. My question is why ... It's my writer's brain having fun with the possibilities. Maybe Crayonz knows! I'm sure he could come up with an interesting scenario. Or he'd just blame Googlebot. -
Woman charged with adultery for public sex in Batavia park
CosmicBills replied to bbb's topic in Off the Wall Archives
That's why it smells so fishy to me (no pun intended). It's an excessive charge, an outdated charge, that smacks of the officer wanting to either make an example of this chick or excessively punish her (again, no pun intended). -

I missed that part ... but it still doesn't seem right. To make such a charge is not only unnecessary, but seems to be excessive. As if there was a personal side to this story. But I'm a conspiracy theorist -
Woman charged with adultery for public sex in Batavia park
CosmicBills replied to bbb's topic in Off the Wall Archives
There's something really fishy about this story to me. The officer "knew" she was married to another man and just happened upon them in the park? I know Batavia isn't a huge town, but that is a pretty big coincidence. It seems far more likely to me that the cop was either tailing her for the husband, or friends with the husband. Yeah, I know the article says that the officer knew because they'd been to her house on several calls ... but if that's the case I don't know many cops who would charge her with adultery even knowing she was married. I know of even less who would do it if they were called to the residence for domestic disturbances ... Just seems really, really odd to me. -
Movies that confuse/haunt/bewilder
CosmicBills replied to Cugalabanza's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Barton Fink ... perhaps one of, if not the best, written Coen brother's movie. And that's high praise for me because I love (most) of their films. Though, I realize that Fink is NOT for everyone. Some people hate it. But I adore it. Every time I watch that flick, I find something new or come up with a new way to interpret it. I'm not a huge fan of super arty films, or films that are trying to be different just for the sake of being different (but that's just me) -- but in Barton Fink the Coen Brother's manage to pull off making an entertaining film that also flirts with becoming avant garde. It's even more astounding when you consider that they wrote Barton Fink while they were stuck on Miller's Crossing. Imagine that. They're in the middle of writing the very plot heavy Miller's Crossing (which is a classic film in its own right), they get stuck ... and rather than stop or try to problem solve it, they bang out ANOTHER utterly brilliant script, very quickly, THEN go back and finish Miller's Crossing. That's just insane. -
Hold the celebration until Troup and Spiller are inked. If they're in before camp THEN you can celebrate. The lower round guys have always been signed before camp. This is no different.
