I know very little about soccer/football and I'm not too ignorant to know about the social/political issues surrounding the sport and the women's team. That said, I'm watching as much of this tournament as I possibly can and am going to root for the US women's team until the bitter end. GO US WOMEN!!!! let's win this once again!

I just bought tix for Weir at the Met in Philly, Oteil and Friends at Stone Pony in Asbury Park, Billy & The Kids in Baltimore and JRAD in Bethlehem.

I had tickets but decided to couch tour the west coast swing, could justify the logistics of those shows spread out over 2+ weeks, so i got rid of my tix and couch toured them. Such a great summer tour overall. Wish they went deeper into the catalog this time out, but the Standing's, Estimated>Eyes etc were among the best i've ever heard, among others.

There's rumors that 8 players may jump ship today or tomorrow from wva. Could be interesting

JRAD is really a killer band. It's going to be interesting to see what happens, if anything, if this is truly D&C's final tour. I would enjoy some sort of meshing of the 2 bands to keep the Dead name moving forward.

that 4th quarter last night was pretty damned intense in terms of defense. Miami got that one call with Jimmy Buckets leg kick, thankfully that didn't change the outcome. I am going to attempt to see Taylor in Philly. She's a dynamic performer, plus it's her hometown. Clips of her shows look like it's a lot of fun....even for a creepy old dude like myself

It's weird because I've seen comments that Edwards' visa prohibits him from receiving money from US companies, couple this with Weitsman pulling out of the NIL game thanks to the chancellor. Hopefully this gets resolved before the real damage is done, which may already be happening

Ween is always fun...they show up around the local philly area in one form of another, it's fun when they just show up at some random venue

Saw Rodrigo y Gabriela once as part of a festival and as i was walking up to the venue they were taking the stage and the acoustic guitars filled the air with such incredible sound. it was really cool. It wasn't just loud music, it was that full, deep acoustic guitar sound and even today i think about how awesome that sounded

FWIW, any Yes fans out there, i just saw Rick Wakeman last wednesday as he opened his latest tour. What an absolutely fun show. Just him and a couple keyboards/pianos, he told jokes and stories between each song(never knew he was such a story teller). played a solid 90 minutes and ranged from Yes songs, solo stuff, 2 new songs, couple Bowie tunes, Cat Stevens. If he is coming anywhere near you and you are a Yes fan, i highly recommend seeing him
