  1. that's ok, its already linked in 2 other threads..the pinned one and the support staff one....
  2. he's got history with herm edwards, bill parcells and sean payton...hopefully they helped him in dealing with veteran opposing coaches...
  3. also keep in mind that Marrone's DC at SU is widely thought to be Marrone's replacement, so you can take him out of the equation...then lovie brings Urlacher along with him and BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE!
  4. you are right, but i am a masochist i guess....but i also get it...when i first heard the news i was less than enthused...and i am a SU homer...but as it has sunk in i am liking it more each moment
  5. i think if you look at the time stamps of when i posted and when he replied you can figure out if he read it completely or not....unless the poster is evelyn wood...
  6. i just linked this article in the main thread and someone has already decided there isn't anyone worth bringing in on that list....
  7. you do realize that there are several pro coaches in that article, including lovie smith....
  8. for anyone who wants to learn more...here is an article about Marrones contacts in football for possible staff hires http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2013/1/6/3842176/doug-marrone-coaching-tree-influences
  9. he was allegedly Philly's #2 choice as well....this could be a brilliant move
  10. come on in...the waters warm....
  11. wow, so it seems Nike CEO, Phil Knight may be making a polay to keep Kelly in Oregon...interesting
  12. tough scrappy win for 'Cuse today in South Florida. But for the majority of the game they had the game in hand but could never really put the game away. Keita and Rak were in foul trouble yet still no sign of coleman in the second half and jerami grant only seemed to play in the first half... a conference road win is still a huge win,
  13. i would guarantee that when it comes to the business of football, he is much smarter than anyone and everyone on this board. i know he is smarter than me, and for that reason i have to trust his decision
  14. plus it is hard to win in the NFL
  15. it would require some draft day movement on our part...no way should we or anyone take him that high in the first round...and i don't know if he will last until 42 or 43...gonna be tricky...
  16. who unpinned this? the d&c report was from 6:16 am...brandon has already said it will take all day to finish up the process.....
  17. that was from 6AM...i think brandon has made statements that they are getting the deal done....step back from the ledge
  18. if you say so...at least you can save yourself a couple years aggravation...i personally will be rooting them on each week like i have done as long as i can remember....
  19. you say that like its a bad thing....he sits on the bench behind Fitz for at least half of next season(depending on how Fitz plays) then watch him shine....Nassib is gonna be a star! Not only that but he will be the second player for Buffalo from the Great Valley area of the Philly 'burbs...Joe Devlin being the first!
  20. i am coming around from my initial reaction...i am starting to like it, just gotta see who he brings in as his coaching staff
  21. read the pinned thread...he pretty much wrapped that thread up into a neat package...trying to describe the various reactions from this fan site....
  22. for all those questioning college coach success...keep in mind there have only been 26 coaches to win Super Bowls....of those 5 were directly from College...Switzer, John Robinson(i think) and Bill Walsh(3)...Jimmy Johnson could/should have, Jim Harbaugh and John Harbaugh the books are still out on...
  23. success is very relative...he turned a very poorly run team into one that was competitive for the past 3 plus years...went to two bowl games(you can question how important bowl games are anymore) and won them. took an unheralded QB and made him one of the most prolific in SU history. Sure he didn't get SU to the upper echelon, but considering where they were, i would call his book of work at SU a successful one....
  24. how about jim harbaugh, jimmy johnson, barry switzer??? that argument is very weak and tired
