my local place knows me and knows my tendencies(hoppier the better ) and often suggest and give me samples of new stuff that has been tapped, they also know that i try not to have the same beer at the same sitting, unless of course it is an exceptional and rare tapping....

i think that's just it...it's the atmosphere, all those philly places on the list and the ones i feel should be on it are small almost neighborhood bars, whereas flying saucer(for example) is a large bar where you'd be hard pressed to see the same bar tender twice...

anyone from this board going to the nova game tomorrow(saturday)? I am gonna go down there and try and get tickets...i would imagine the Syracuse Alumni will hold a pre-game party at xfinity or mcfaddens before hand. should be a good time filled with SU fans...let me know and we can meet up

its good...i have had better...i noticed last year they called it a double red(?) this year the bottle says imperial amber....i guess i always expect more of a hop palate from this beer and that just isn't there, that said though, its still very good

i really wish i still had my pictures from my european trip back in 1990...my ex and i were walking through soho(not in the rain) but when i saw lee ho fooks i ran in, sat down and when the waitress came over i ordered a 'big dish of beef chow mein'...i was so proud of myself for being so clever but i got that look as if to say....'oh jeez...haven't heard that one in the last 30 seconds' but i had pictures of each step...i doubt my ex still has them, but i should ask...

I know this is a VERY subjective list. I've been to all of the Philly bars on the list but if they made the list then dozens of other Philly bars should be on that list. That isn't meant to take away from the ones listed, that is more to say that the bars not on the list are that good. And to not include Syracuse's Blue Tusk or Richmond's Capital Ale House or Sedona...granted that list should be bigger than 25 per region...but I guess at least good beer is being noticed.

i don't want to sound like a broken record, but Keita who once was close to a liability(not due to lack of effort and heart) has turned into a beast. He still has one more year, correct? a few more pounds of muscle and he is going to be a MAJOR factor as a senior...
