My first game at the Ralph since 1995 this Sunday
Bob in STL replied to SuperBills12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
From the Far end ECC Lot I head in by 12:15 and get to my seat in plenty of time. You never know what you have at the gates. I like to be seated before the National Anthem starts. -

I wish I could play again, we used to beat the Pats* in my day. His name is Kyle so maybe we get lucky again. -
Will Bill Belichick Target Tremaine Edmunds Again?
Bob in STL replied to Phil The Thrill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Belichick will have 3 plans and he will stick to the one that works, then when it doesn't work anymore he will try another. Targeting a MLB means what? are they going to throw short passes over the middle all day? Coverage is something that Edmunds has been good at. I doubt Bill read Sal Malinaro's in depth scouting analysis but I hope he did. -
Maiorana's Report: Realism or Pessimism?
Bob in STL replied to Tolstoy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great film breakdown Sal with your caveat that you do not know the players assignments anyway. A Sullyesque piece indeed. Headlines: 3-0 team with 6th ranked defense has a 21 year old middle linebacker that is not playing well. Edmunds is holding his own and if Bellichek/Brady exposes him he won’t be the first. -

Can AB play DT? I hear he is available. -
The most encouraging thing of it all...
Bob in STL replied to Magox's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He is developing nicely. He seems to be measured on a stricter scale than most young QBs. It seem like many "experts" in the media hold him to a higher standard related to accuracy, mistakes, etc. He just needs to stay the course. It will take a few years before he gets to the elite level but we can win with him along the way. -

To the Buffalo Bills: Let your play speak so loudly that no one hears what you say. -
why not 4-0? Let's play the game first at least.

And Rosen will play division 2 with Miami.

Bills (3-0) vs Bengals (0-3) Postgame thread
Bob in STL replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I tend to agree that we need another RB. Murphy is not at all a complete back but he is capable of getting yards. DiMarco was lead blocker on the game winning TD. He can block and play special teams. -
We’re on to New England ...
Bob in STL replied to Over 29 years of fanhood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Now wait just a minute, everyone knows there are 3 kinds of wins, right? Winning big, winning average, and “barely” winning. According to you the Bills have 2“barely wins”. No fare with that “little more the barely” stuff buster. Come on now, no cheating. And the Pats* have 3 “big wins”? Right? So the Pats* 3-0 is better than the Bills 3-0? The Pats* have a “super 3-0”, the Bills a “barely 3-0”. But wait ... the Bills opponents are 1-8, and Pats* are 0-9. Does that count? Or, since the Giants won by only 1 point do they count as an “little bit more than barely win”. Hmmmm. Let’s try the second part. Wasn’t John Adams a Patriot? -
The Browns uniforms have always been ugly. No logo and they are brown. Don't adjust your sets, they really are brown and the most hideous shade of orange.

Tickets on your phone? Beware
Bob in STL replied to The Firebaugh Kid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I saw an older couple struggle with electronic phone tickets at a Major League Baseball game. Electronic tickets on a phone are not for everyone. Some people don’t understand all the technology changes and subtleties. Bring back paper for those that prefer it. This is a time when we accommodate everyone and everything so this should not happen. -

New England is on to Buffalo in an AFCE battle. I think the Bills can win this one. I do. -

Because Murphy cannot pass block. Not even a little bit. -
Next week: Bills 56, Patriots 3!
Bob in STL replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Historically good against The Miami Mess and the Jets with a 3rd string QB in the game.? I think the Pats* defense is still untested. Looking forward to the match up next week. I hope we have Singletary next week. -
Josh Allen - week THREE report card
Bob in STL replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I looked at the replays and his good plays were many. He was under a lot of pressure today. The pass blocking was poor for most of the day. Most QBs would have had trouble today. He made the very poor throw for the INT and that changed the momentum. But he came back for another 4Q win. His last drive included several very good passes , several avoided sacks, and two very good runs. Look at the last drive. I give him another B. We won. He wins. The pretty wins will come, he is 8-6 as a starter. -
Gore was excellent. Leadership. Power. Big runs. Scored when we needed it. So …. Why was he playing with a ripped shoe? What was that all about?

Bills (3-0) vs Bengals (0-3) Postgame thread
Bob in STL replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We are 3-0. THREE and OHHH. I'm happy. At times during the game I was very frustrated, thinking we could have piled up more points. But we won a game we should have won at home. We came from behind again. We overcame some injuries along the way. Not perfect but the it's the NFL and the Bengals have a pretty talented team. It is another happy Sunday night and Monday morning "football talk" at work. -
Bills vs Bengals Pre-Game thread

I’m nervous as usual before a game. I think we we need to run the ball today, this will help to keep Dalton and his WRs off the field. Our OL can maul this team if new stick to it. Singletary could be missed here. Hopefully Yeldon has a big game in relief of Gore.
