  1. Great HoF coach. One of the best ever. He had our number in the 70's … we kept him and Marino out of the SB in the late 80's and 90's. Another throwback coach who quietly went about his business.
  2. Dareus had some hardships to overcome right from the start and some of it was not his own doing. However, let's not forget that Dareus did not help himself either and he created a lot of problems with his off field behavior. His work ethic was poor and he was easily distracted. Definitely not a true professional and clearly someone who took his job and the team for granted. You can blame Mario, Rex, the old regime but Marone took a gamble on him for the 2nd time and now his contract is expired and he is a free agent looking for work. So while Dareus is, or was, a top talent, he is the opposite of the kind of player that Beane and McD want here. The current regime drafts players that already think "Team First" and that already are motivated to be the best they can be. Trying to re-hab players is not something they want do to. They prefer to find players that are self motivated team players before they walk in the door. I would make the trade all over again. Dumping his contract put us in a position to be successful for years to come.
  3. For many positions we already know who makes the team but certainly not all. Roster Question marks: CB - Levi, Gaines and Norman Right side of OL - would like to see a real competition with Feliciano, Cody, Nyseke and the new free agents DL - need to compete to see top 9 and which groupings work best. LB’s. - need competition for backup slots. What does Joseph look like, etc. ST - kicker competition, DiMarco spot in question with new acquisitions from free agency and UDFA; gunners, timing and familiarity on all units is a concern. WRs - competition for 4,5 and 6 slots and the overall need to work with Allen.
  4. The Pats* will probably be competitive again this season, they can win with defense and good coaching, but their done. Soon the Hoodie will retire. They will go back to being nothing again and the fans will complain about them like they do all their other teams.
  5. Getting rid of that contract was huge. Dump it when you can. Dareus helped them for one year, and then he went back to being the typically unreliable Dareus. Getting rid of that salary help us to rebuild.
  6. Great information and it underscores the importance of a good GM like Beane. He makes every asset count. For Sabres fans, all we need do is look at Boterill and his moves and be thankful for Beane.
  7. Interesting but Beane already said they can use him inside. He can move and will move if that puts a compelling combination out there. I think he can be a very effective DE. He can play every down, set the edge for the run game, and get to the QB. Not a classic speed edge guy - an overall defensive end. Then there is heart, and he shows a lot. Players that play hard like him tend to have enough game speed, which your straight line sprinting times don’t really show. Either way he could prove to be a great pickup.
  8. Because fans heard of him and his name is Jadeveon Clowney.
  9. OJ Simpson had great moves
  10. Thanks for the info. This kid might play like a first rounder. McD will get him going.
  11. No. You know Diggs will want the ball. Brown is a good teammate and will pay his role as a #2. Green is not used to being a #2. Besides, Brown and Josh already click, We might not have enough footballs to go around if you add Green.: Diggs - Brown or AJ Green - Beasley - The TE - Singletary/Moss - 4th Wideout
  12. Nicely Stated. I think we picked up some very good pieces here. We got what we needed. A few of these kids will help now and a few will develop and help later.
  13. ^ Yes. The new guys would likely beat out Foster, Duke and McKenzie in a “normal” training camp and pre-season. But this one will be different and WR is not easy to learn. We get 2 more roster spots going as it goes up to 55. I think we know that QB3 is Fromm, do we add a CB/WR/ O/L. ?
  14. We got him At 54. The “concern” was some of his scores on his combine grades. They questioned his athleticism. In high school in Illinois he was a basketball star, a football star, and the State Track and Field Discus Champion. WTF. He is an athlete. He plays Football like a beast. He belongs on our team. So happy we got him.
  15. I keep looking at his film and I like him even more. He is a physical beast and He really compliments Singletary well. I would love it if we could impose our will on teams by running. I known the game has changed -“evolved” - but 2 backs that could hurt another team is nice to have.
  16. If he plays as good as Simmons did then we made an excellent pick. I like this kid. I would love to see him have a long and rewarding career here.
  17. Oh yes, it is 55. If your going to keep 2 more then why not QB3 (Fromm) and maybe another CB? McD likes having CBs that know the system and are ready.
  18. The special teams return man, Andre, could take either Foster or McKenzie’s spot. McKenzie has been the more consistent of the two. Foster is an enigma. The Covid situation could make it harder for the rookies to show their skills and learn the offense. So that has to be considered.
  19. I like the way he looks on film. Plays hard. Could make the 53 or the PS for more development.
  20. I took some heat last week when I mentioned drafting a QB in later rounds. We need a backup. Let’s see what he does. Right now we are a team on the rise that still has not won a playoff game, therefore every position is up for grabs every year.
