  1. Dear Bills fans, want a reasonable assessment of Allen? Listen to Romo and Kubiak, and just about any ex QB instead of the clowns being talked about in this thread. Heck Terry Bradshaw is no Allen fan, he just stops talking when Allen is playing well so that is a good thing for everyone.
  2. You were irate. That’s funny. Look at the replay, Allen waited too long, then misfired behind him. Probably the only mistake Allen made all day.
  3. Don’t know where people get these ideas? The Steelers will prepare the same way at 11-1 as they would at 12-0. It’s not their fault the schedule turned out easy. They are good but until the season plays out we don’t know how good. Once the game starts all the media hype fades away. I was picking the Bills to win and that isn’t changing just because the Steelers are “mad at losing”.
  4. Not buying it. It is common today for OCs and DCs on good teams to move on. Josh should be able to adapt to a new system. Josh gets off season coaching separate from Daboll and he has been able to fine tune his game. He knows how to learn and works hard at his craft. Now a new OC could be less creative or less capable but all teams face this. All this talk of Daboll leaving is still only speculation. Sure, he probably wants to be a HC but he knows he is in a good place and may want to stay.
  5. Allen, Beasley, Edmunds
  6. ? that is a stout team. We had a nice goal line stance and held them off the board right after we failed to score. Critical stance that helped us set the tone.
  7. The Glenlivit 18 year old batch reserve. Nice reward for after a win.
  8. I think this was one of best overall games we played this season. We beat a strong and very physical team on the road. We overcame a bad turnover and kept to a very good game plan. Would have liked to have kept them off the board on their last drive but so much good happened in all phases of the game. Bring on the Stillers.
  9. I am nervous about tonight. Which is normal for me. It took awhile for me to get used to prime time games in the SB era and that was long ago. Every game is tough and this one will be. If Allen has a good game (smart and patient) and our defense continues its improving trend we should be ok. Bills - 30 49’ers - 24
  10. The Hopkins play was intended to be a deep sideline to set up another play. The near sack, and the long scramble by Murray took enough time to leave him no choice but to improvise a “Hail Mary”. Hopkins had the smarts to break the pattern and get to the end zone. Murray had the smarts to not throw it anywhere else because no one else was going to score or get out of bounds. The Bills were in the right defense to stop anything deep, they just didn’t make the play. Murray and Hopkins were absolutely perfect on a fortunate (for them) Hail Mary attempt. The point I’m trying to make is that the Jets defense made it easy. The Raiders saw the blitz, picked up the blitz, the QB stepped up and launched an uncontested ball to a wide open receiver. If you want to call every deep pass a Hail Mary that’s fine, or if you want to call any and every deep pass in the last seconds of a game a Hail Mary that’s fine. All I’m saying is teams practice Hail Mary plays designed specifically to get players around the ball, and the Raiders play was a basic deep pattern to one guy against single coverage. The QB lead the receiver into the end zone. It was not even a jump ball. Nice to see Greggo get fired for his arrogance and stupidity. That play was way too easy.
  11. Nope. One WR and one CB. That is not a Hail Mary. Just a simple stop-and-go pattern and a deep ball. Not every long pass is a Hail Mary. A Hail Mary typically has multiple WRs going into one spot forcing multiple DBs to play there as well. It is a chaos play and a prayer. The Jets played man coverage with no safety help. The QB read the blitz, stepped up in the pocket, and hit a deep bomb, for an easy and uncontested catch in the end zone. Greggo gambled on a sack and gave up the easy long pass.
  12. That was not a Hail Mary. It was a deep ball to you your best receiver who was inexplicably left in single coverage against a marginal CB.
  13. The CB play was horrendous, you give him that move 20 yards down field and play the deep ball - chalk that up to a bad player, the Jets have lots of them. Worse, where was the deep safety help? How can you not have safeties deep on that down and distance? Greggo sends 7 pass rushers right from the snap and then an 8th on top of that. Greggo with another bad call? He is a complete bum. A total moron that showed no respect as usual.
  14. The Steelers mystic on defense is real. They have had 3 coaches since 1969. Three. That is mind blowing. The Iron Curtain of the 70’s might be the best defense ever (sorry Bears) and with just a fews downs to go with the up years, such little turnover helps make it possible to keep the same consistent style and build a mystic. McD has made the playoffs 2 out of 3 years while rebuilding the team and changing the culture - and yet many fans here don’t like him and want him out. I find that to be extremely short sighted. If coaching/front office turnover is consistent the wins will not be.
  15. What does his brothers play have to do with anything beside showing us that you are grasping to find fault? Our Edmunds played hurt pretty much the entire first half of the season. He played hurt because he had to. Yes, he missed some tackles and yes he was less of a force. Also look at the play of the DTs in front of him. When healthy he is a very fine player that is still developing. At 22 years old he is 3 year veteran. I see a lot of upside.
  16. I’ll say it again, none of you guys know what goes on in the trenches like the coaches do. None of us know the line calls and such. McD said they liked the lines play in the games that Morse sat out so they stuck with it another game. Feliciano graded higher at C and they liked they overall line play and wanted it to continue. What more do you need for a reason when the coach just gave you the reason? The noise about injuries, salaries, is fan drama.
  17. I am impressed with his sincerity and willingness to help others. His on field persona is different. Never judge a book by its cover.
  18. Belichick is the best ever. Reid has 1 Super Bowl win in 22 years. He is a great coach for a lot of reasons - but with a playoff record of 15-14. Reid’s history tell us to give McDermott a little more than 3 years before you rush to judgement.
  19. I loved it when McD backed up Klein after his bad game. Even the media were asking questions about him but McDermott will not sell out his guys and they know it.
  20. We have played a very tough schedule, and battled with injuries, and had several schedule issues related to Covid. Our defense held SD to 17 points, prior to that they we averaging 27. Milano coming back next week. You could not be more off the mark.
  21. Klein can get to the passer and can play the run ok. His Coverage skills are spotty. A healthy Milano does it all.
  22. Disagree. Running is always good when playing with a 18 point lead. The passing rhythm is developed by Josh making good reads and being accurate, not by passing 75% of the time. While Brown was missed, Davis caught the longest pass of the. day.
  23. Three turnovers is usually a loss. Especially with two unsportsmanlike and two more roughing the passer calls. Thankful Anthony Lynn was their coach today. The Bills made some big plays too but Lynn’s mismanagement was a factor in our favor.
  24. I don’t think so. There are so many great WRs in the league that the selected All Pros are all #1’s on their teams. If we had a legit #1 he would have caught fewer passes for fewer yards. In his best season he caught 58% if the passes targeted to him. That’s lower than Diggs, Beasley, Brown, and Davis this year. He could be the most overrated player in modern Bills history.
  25. Ed Rutkowski was a backup flanker, end, running back, defensive back who also returned punts and kicks. In 1968 he played 3 games at QB when we lost four QBs to injury. He was the teams disaster QB and 1968 was truly a disaster. I will never forget the game we lost to the Raiders 13-10. I was a kid watching that game with my Dad and Uncles. We had the ball on the 1 yard line and Rutkowski ran a bootleg. I thought he scored but he actually fumbled. It almost went out of bounds but it was ruled in bounds and recovered by Oakland. I cried. Everyone laughed at me. I insisted he scored.
