The “easy” wins are few and far between it seems. I watched every second. -
Week 16 Postgame Thread Bills @ Pats*
Bob in STL replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m jumping straight to the end and posting without reading through all your comments. First time ever. I can’t help myself. Been watching the Bills since ‘63. It’s been a way of life actually. I ve been here a long time, but not a lot of posting for 17 years here. This was one of the most satisfying wins ever. Twenty years of Pats* dominance was something I could not predict. While they always were a worthy opponent, we pretty much kicked them around a lot, right up to 2000. I want a Super Bowl and I want to dominate the Pats* team for a very long time. I don’t think much of Kraft. BB was a great coach, he will retire soon. Keep McBeane and build a long term asss kicking team.- 453 replies

"What's up" call to hike the ball
Bob in STL replied to Old Coot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The term “hike” was replaced by “snap” in about 1972. You snap the ball on the first syllable of the whatever the snap count is, and the snap count is called in the huddle. Anything said after that snap is for deception. Line audibles and line play calls have there own keywords and they change them over the course of the game. -
I’m good with that. I was just a young boy, but I drove with my Dad and my Uncle from the West Side to Erie, Pa to watch the game at a bar. I was 8 years old in 1966. I handled the day like a pro. Eating potato chips, burgers, drank cokes and watched the game. I had my Football Cards and my scrapbook of articles and pictures of Bills football. They lost big that day, to Hank Stram’s KC Chiefs in the AFL Championship and the right to go to Super Bowl I. It was not even called the Super Bowl that year, it was the NFL-AFL Championship game. I literally knew every stat published. I was hooked.

Week 16: Sunday Games Around the League
Bob in STL replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A lot of concern about what the football world thinks of Mahommes. This just in - He threw 50 TDs in his first year as a starter and then won a Super Bowl his 2nd year as a starter. Yes, great pedigree and with excellent coaching and he plays on a very talented team. Everyone knows that. Allen is playing now at Mahommes level but not many outside of Buffalo are going to anoint him anything. Allen needs to show something in the playoffs because his one playoff game did not go well all. Let’s stop worrying about what other people think. Allen will someday be a SB champion. Enjoy the ride. -

No asterisk unless you highlight exceptional contingency planning. The teams that wins this SB will deserve it like any other year. The Browns are not out of it either. -
