  1. Not necessarily serious but they are definitely looking to add an insurance WR with Kumerow gone.
  2. Virgil, Nice post. Thoughtful as usual. I am however, going to disagree with your points in item 1. You describe the game as “Completely irrelevant” and state “there wasn't even a concern for what the game results would mean.” True, we clinched the division two weeks prior but this was NOT an irrelevant game. Using the term “completely irrelevant” suggests you are missing a key point. We absolutely needed to slay that Patriots* dragon all by ourselves and we needed to kick their assets on National TV to make it even better. After 20 years we needed that statement. We poured water on the wicked witch and the whole country got to see her dry up and fade away. You can discount the playoff seeding implications all you want, even though they are important, but you cannot discount the importance of beating up the Pats* (including BB), in Foxboro, all by ourselves. I think this was one of the most important wins we have had in two decades. Even the Bills players and coaching staff, none of whom lived through the 20 years of pain that we have, all realized the relevance and importance of this game, played in the Gillette House of Horrors, on MNF. Had we lost the game the tone on this forum, and in the locker room, and would be totally different. This was an important win for the entire franchise and it could be a turning point for years to come. Clearly we are the far better team on paper, we finally showed it on the battlefield. Completely irrelevant game? I just cannot buy that. This “W” is huge!
  3. Fair. I was referring to his 2 fumbles in crunch time. The Browns handed off 15 times and had Mayfield pass 50+ times. They fell behind and they chose to get away from their strength.
  4. If the Browns play their starters for one half (less Big Ben) then I think they can win. The way Mayfield played against the Jets makes me wonder about the Browns in general.
  5. Beasley will rest all week, but he will study film and participate in planning - he will help the next man up. Then playoffs. I think he will be ready for the first game. If not the first one, then the next one. A rested Beasley will be good to have. Blaming the coaches is silly and after the fact. Anything can happen on any play at any time. Good time for Smoke to be back.
  6. He is our best TE right now and we stick with him. i do expect Beane to always be looking for ways to improve the team and TE is an area to consider in the future.
  7. These extreme cases are rare but happen occasionally. No sense making up rules for this.
  8. I’m not sure this is true given their record. They are not finding big impact players drafting at the end of every round but they have kept their roster solid enough to play in 9 of the last 18 SBs, and win 6 SBs. Right now they have holes but they are also $50M under the cap.
  9. The “easy” wins are few and far between it seems. I watched every second.
  10. A bad take. Both are excellent players. We need to extend both of them.
  11. I’m jumping straight to the end and posting without reading through all your comments. First time ever. I can’t help myself. Been watching the Bills since ‘63. It’s been a way of life actually. I ve been here a long time, but not a lot of posting for 17 years here. This was one of the most satisfying wins ever. Twenty years of Pats* dominance was something I could not predict. While they always were a worthy opponent, we pretty much kicked them around a lot, right up to 2000. I want a Super Bowl and I want to dominate the Pats* team for a very long time. I don’t think much of Kraft. BB was a great coach, he will retire soon. Keep McBeane and build a long term asss kicking team.
  12. The term “hike” was replaced by “snap” in about 1972. You snap the ball on the first syllable of the whatever the snap count is, and the snap count is called in the huddle. Anything said after that snap is for deception. Line audibles and line play calls have there own keywords and they change them over the course of the game.
  13. Ehhh, not good. First, we did not win the AFC championship, and the fall from a tree was awkward at best. Thankfully he did not get hurt.
  14. Rumor I heard from someone in Buffalo is that the Texans are very interested in Daboll (HC) and Joe Schoen (GM). I hope this is false.
  15. Yup. Line them up on the floor by position. Great days. No. Because that would mean we lost to Miami. Let’s focus on the Bills, not the rest of the noise.
  16. I’m good with that. I was just a young boy, but I drove with my Dad and my Uncle from the West Side to Erie, Pa to watch the game at a bar. I was 8 years old in 1966. I handled the day like a pro. Eating potato chips, burgers, drank cokes and watched the game. I had my Football Cards and my scrapbook of articles and pictures of Bills football. They lost big that day, to Hank Stram’s KC Chiefs in the AFL Championship and the right to go to Super Bowl I. It was not even called the Super Bowl that year, it was the NFL-AFL Championship game. I literally knew every stat published. I was hooked.
  17. I hope your right. They would be a very tough challenge. The 1990 Bills played a Super Bowl hardened Giants team. This would be similar, we would be the flashy upstart. Not always a good place, but we could do it. What TF not!
  18. Josh needs to open that door. Not Aaron.
  19. Stop talking about fumbling Mr Bad Vibe.
  20. I like Michaels. Collinsworth is someone I didn’t care for in the 90’s. He has grown on me over the years because he actually dies a better job than most. I think Romo is the best of the former players turned color man.
  21. Al Michaels and Chris Collinsworth sound like true professionals. NFL Network needs to hire better people. So does ESPN. Michael cemented his journalistic career during the 89 World Series when he covered the San Francisco Earthquake. Then years on MNF.
  22. I think the Jamaicans would be playing with more passion than the Titans have exhibited.
  23. Yes. It sure looks like you need to take a lead on the Titans to make them have to pass. In snow they look really bad. Rodgers and the Pack offense is taking Derrick Henry out of the game.
  24. Rodgers looks very good. Tannehill not so much on that pick. I don’t see him playing well in snow. We shall see tonight.
