The jokes are more tame and actually less than I expected. So how does one know if this is a good hire? She is young and her football playing experience is limited as is her coaching experience. It will take time time to evaluate her contributions, just like anyone else. No doubt Daboll and McD will give her every opportunity to succeed.

Profit has little to do with it. Remember Pegula said that “the Sabres reason for existence is to win Stanley Cups” and if he needs money he will “drill another well”. My how times have changed. Sabres have been losing for 10 years under the Pegula reign. They are about to set the record for most consecutive years out of playoffs in a league were over half the teams make the playoffs. In that span they have had 4 GMs and 7 coaches. The culture there is rotten. Sad but true. Adams may indeed be good, we will see. I am pulling for him. Beane and McD are the difference. No doubt about it.

Minnesota Writer and website Trash Diggs and Buffalo
Bob in STL replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cry baby article trying to reconcile his feelings after the fact. Poorly written. Parentheses inside parentheses. Dissing Buffalo and acting like he isn’t. I wish I didn’t click on it. -
Cardinals still showing the “Hail Murray”

Let them enjoy a great play by two of their star players. It’s called marketing. Bills fans still watch the comeback against the Houston Oilers. We went on to lose another Super Bowl but we still talk about and watch highlights of that game. -
1. Chiefs 2. Browns 3. Bills

Agree with your last sentence. Everything else is looking for excuses to discount the play of the Bills, or the opponents that they beat. The ONLY thing that matters is the W at the end of the game. You don’t get anything extra for “wining convincingly”. -

Hard to gauge the Browns v Bills on based only on their games against KC. Long season, injuries, depth, and schedule will all factor into a NEW season. Allen and Mayfield are the keys. -
Are sports’ drafts fair to the players?
Bob in STL replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the NFL got rid of the draft or the salary cap the league would become like the professional soccer premiership. Only a few teams have any chance of success. -
It must be draft time.

Great stuff. Facenda helped create the image of the NFL back then. Looking today at all the NFL coverage on TV, Internet, social media. All the ex jocks and Bozo’s out there. The saying “less is more” really rings true.

FA RB/return specialist Tyler Ervin visiting Bills
Bob in STL replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Probably so. I like that Beane not only re-signed his best players at a discount relative to past markets. The good thing is McBeane have a culture that make players stay. I think this is a bring competition in signing. This guy might be pretty good too. I like the position we are in. -
Lots of potential. Good signing. I wouldn’t be surprised if Beane scores again.

I workout warrior with limited experience. I am sure there are many projected very good starters left. Pick a developmental guy later. -
He is a football player. Versatile and possibly a very good return man. He makes plays. I’m surprised he didn’t get offers? Tough environment for free agents for sure.

Just this weekend I met a restaurant owner who is a former LA Ram/St Louis Ram front office exec. He retired on the teams last move back to LA and has a number of business interest in St Louis. We talked football for quite awhile and he had the comments about the Bills: - lots of people want to play with Josh Allen - Brandon Beane is a brilliant Executive - in his time with the Rams the Bills were a very common team on players “no trade” lists. He said he was friends with Polian and Marv and was very happy to see the Buffalo football become relevant again.
