  1. Kumerow gets a lot a crap here but right now he is a better football player than Hodgins is. Which is why he is on the team. How did that happen? Didn’t the other 31 teams see him tear up the preseason?
  2. Hiding Cook’s skill set? For what? He got his reps and he looks like a rookie with some promise.
  3. Mel had Allen as #1 😣QB. I also don’t recall him saying we took the wrong Josh. Can you find that quote?
  4. Stevenson over Hodgins is the big shocker. Van Roten over Mancz is an injury move. Mancz would have likely been out injured and they need a backup C so that Bates can stay at RG. I think we could get Mancz back later unless Van Roten actually does good as a backup C/G. Sweeney lucked out that OJH was actually worse and slow to learn the offense.
  5. It is a common thought that Beane and McDermott run a tight ship and place an extremely high value on team culture and all that goes with it. I suspect they will beef up background checks but there is no way this can ever be fool-proof. As it stands today they had a very good track record so their vetting process, while not perfect, is probably very good. One thing they can add, I am not sure that they have it, is a clause in the contract that voids the contract if all known criminal/civil investigations (past and present) are not disclosed.
  6. Great punter, versatile as linebacker/ split end. Can’t hold though.
  7. Very funny, and NO, I am not. I am also not ok with someone not fully disclosing the facts around potential criminal and civil charges they could be facing. If his non-disclosure violated terms of the contract that he signed then his contract can be voided. This is how I think it will play out. He still gets his day in court, which is a right I believe in and take seriously.
  8. The “down payment” is small potatoes in the big picture. It’s hard for me to understand that you believe this after watching McDermott last night. Did you watch the post game presser? No doubt he was surprised by details that are now out there and he feels this is much more serious now than before. He clearly feels that information he used was incomplete or possibly was inaccurate? I hope no one associated with the Bills had this information and did not flow it to him. Even if they think Araiza might win the case, I don’t think they want the circus that goes with it. I see them picking up a punter from other teams cuts and moving on.
  9. He would have to know more of the story to answer the question. He is learning this, while traveling and literally working around the clock to prepare for a game. He wanted to focus on the players busting ass to make the team.
  10. Yes, it sounded like that could be. Or someone didn’t provide all the information.
  11. I get a weird feeling that there is something else bothering McD about this. He needs to snap out of it, trim the roster, get a punter/holder and get ready for the season. Someone else (Beane and the legal department) in the organization should be working the issue of getting the information they need.
  12. Wow. Bad. That should have been a quick shot to the end zone.
  13. Sweeney made a play. That’s one.
  14. Uh, no Great for being tossed in at the last minute.
  15. Vanilla everything. Simple game plan. Evaluate players. Who on the bubble made plays and who didn’t?
  16. Barkley will remember this game forever, being called upon to punt.
  17. Barkley. Deep, no hang time, big return.
  18. By any measure we look lousy tonight. Like a team that played no starters and is conducting tryouts.
  19. The Panther feed was not great. At least this one will talk about the player I care about.
  20. Now I have the Bills feed for the 2nd half.
  21. Why show anything? Best way to evaluate the few bubble guys is basic football. Sweeney just dropped a notch on that play.
  22. Good to hear. No way I can see everything on TV coverage.
