  1. I'm in Cleveland tonight was at Flannery's Irish Pub and I can tell you that the fans were not happy happy with the 2nd round pick of another DB, they are not happy with the third either. Take something and get some rest bud.
  2. Yeah right. I have been watching football since 1964 and New Orleans has had a contending team for maybe 5 seasons in that entire time span. Now they pick Brown and we are screwed up? Why don't you wait and see how Troup and Brown play before you judge.
  3. That "man named Isiah Robertson" was 10 times better than Cousineau. Talk about selective memory ... he told reporters that he picked the Montreal in the CFL over the Bills because Montreal has better looking women than Buffalo. What a jerk that guy was.
  4. Parella had a good career for San Diego. We gave up on him way too soon.
  5. No way. At least Walt played 70 games and some of them he was avereage. Phil Dokes did nothing, two years and out.
  6. What does "no cap" have to do with it?
  7. If the draft Spiller and move Lynch for a 2nd rounder that is a net positve. I would like to see them improve the trenches with the 9th pick but do not be surprised to see Clausen or Spiller if they are on the board.
  8. I would not call your scenario a reach either, even thought the Talking Heads do. Soem of the moves al Davis has made have been surprising reaches. I call the trade ups for McCargo and Losman to be reaches ... both players could have been gone at our next pick but we gave up a lot to pick them were we did.
  9. Wood looks like a good pick in the late first rounds. After that many teams would like Evans, Levitre, and Kyle Williams. Not sure what the point of this thread is other than to say we have little top tier talent? Look at the very few Pro Bowl players on this team and you get to that same conclusion.
  10. How long does it take to find and develop a QB? Until we do that the best we can be is a marginal playoff contender.
  11. If the Bills board looks similar, and the eight in bold are gone then I would speculate we pick Morgan or Kindle. If Lynch is moved than I would add Spiller to the mix.
  12. Calm down and stop blaming Ralph every time another team signs a player. Half the peple on this board want to trade Lynch for the same reasons Pittsburgh traded Holmes. Now everyone will see what the market will bear for Lynch ... since he is not suspended I would say maybe a 3rd rounder? If we trade Lynch we will spend a top 4 pick on a RB. Spinning our wheels again.
  13. Me too. He was a very good player for the Bills. Glad to hear is has his life on track.
  14. He can flat out block. Why is he another Peters?
  15. You make some good points but still, my issues with Jauron: 1. His record against good teams was pathetic, partly due to his conservation play calling. His tenure in Buffalo, like his time in Chicago , was defined by a poor offense and no ability to find a creative OC and then let him do his thing. He does not understand offense good enough to succeed. 2. He failed to put together a team that matched up in our division. Example: we never drafted a decent center yet every team in our division plays the 3-4 and has a monster at NT. Example 2: Our team does not play well in cold weather and our home record was poor. (I will share this blame with Levy and Brandon too). 3. His game day coaching ... Lets not forget the failure to get the flag out of his pocket and on the field in time to review a play that would have been overturned. I will NEVER forget that. Talk about passive coaching. Good riddance Dick.
  16. Trade them all and keep Steve? Steve has what, 5 career catches, maybe? So we will keep him why? Because he has cool dreds?
  17. Right ... because we know how easy it is to draft good players, especially wide receievers. Lets trade all of our good players for draft choices and then pray that we pick more good ones in the future! Let's try to get 10 first round draft choices for next year ... no problem. (Sarcasm off)
  18. Just draft the best QB that we think can be "the guy"? Like Losman? Your theories are exactly what we have been doing and it does not work. Win big this year? What have we done at the other 21 positions to become the Colts or Patriots? We are thin in so many areas. There is no QB in this draft that looks like a Big Ben, and Ben had a great supporting cast by the way. I do not like any QB in round one unless we trade down a acquire another 2nd rounder. If there are better prospects in next years draft then it may make sense wait and work on both lines.
  19. 1. I like Buddy Nix even though he comes off a bit clumsy to the press. His skill as a talent evaluator is recognized around the league. He may lack management polish but we have Brandon and Whaley for that. 2. I think Gailey will be a good coach for us. He already has shown more fire than Jauron ever did. I think he can get the flag out of his pocket and onto the field with authority. He has a proven track record as a NFL coach and as an OC. He ran an entire program at GT. He appears to be dedicated and very professional. He wants to make "The Ralph" a hard place for visting teams to play in ... not a novel idea but something the previous coaches did not stress. 3. I think we brought in a good diverse staff of experience and some new potentially bright coaches. We lost a few good coaches when Jauron got tossed but that is normal on a regime change. 4. I like the players we added to the defense and the change to a 3-4. Admit there is still much to do. 5. I like the restraint. I wish we could have brought in a big name LT or NT but there were none. 6. Bringing in Whaley from Pitt was a really good move. Adding an Ast GM and a proven Pro Personel guy with big upside. He was one of the up and coming execs that most "experts" thought we should have interviewed for the GM job. Don't overlook this guy. 7. Two conditioning coaches and a renewed emphasis on conditioning. Gailey obviously sees something wrong with the number of injuries we have had. Better conditioning and tougher players ... expect to see that. (I thought the TV removal sends a message too). This draft will tell us a lot about the new regime.
  20. I doubt this very much. What about TO? Doesn't he count? He will be in the HoF before McNabb ever gets a whiff of it. Everytime I think olf McNabb I remember the Super Bowl game against the Pats and how horrible he was in crunch time. Almost like he was afraid to win, which explains his horrible conference championship record. McNabb was good, not great. Right now he is old and not the best choice for the Bills to build around.
  21. I just cannot see Baltimore giving us Gaither to move up spots. Not in this draft. A proven LT with lots of upside, sure I'll take it! I know we really need a player like Cody but just looking at his conditioning alone tells me he is a risk in round one. A need pick for sure.
  22. Is Utica Club still around?
  23. I saw him play and he does not look like an NFL prospect. Slow to read and react. Most of the Vol fans I know do not think much of him.
  24. What about Younel Jordain?
