You are correct, more luxury seats that no one in Buffalo can afford!?? Whoever wrote that article does not know squat. There are not enough big corporations in Buffalo to carry the load. Tha game belongs to the fans, and I mean the real ones that actually follow the game. Surely not the people who got tickets one Sunday afternoon because they work for a Fortune 500 company. I work at Boeing in St. Louis. After the fat cats scarf up the club level tickets we give a certain number of tickets to employees that "do a good job". Many of them could care less about the Rams but they go because it is so expensive otherwise. When the Rams were winning a lot there where less tickets available for the working people. I am sure it is like that in many of the big cities. I hate the way things have changed in the NFL. Buffalo is one of the last places that "normal people" can afford to watch a game. Every time someone on this board rips Ralph Wilson I cringe because of that simple fact. I bring my sons to Buffalo every year to watch a game. Bring back the 70's please!!!!

I am not sure I would say genious but I would say he has a plan ansd he won't rush unless the deal is right. As far as LT goes, prior to the draft I think the Bills felt they were deeper at LT with Bell and Meridith than they were at NT. If you think about it without Troup and Carrington we have no rotation at NT and very little depth at DE. We just are not sure how the holdovers will play in the 3-4. Now if we can get Gaither to shore up the OL I think we will all have to agree that this off season has been a step in the right direction.

True lots of question and still lots of building to do but Gaither fills a huge hole and will help who ever is the QB. We are going to get younger on defense and the new 3-4 will take time. If we get a legitimate LT then next draft we can focus on QB and other needs key needs.

I hope we don't give up a 2 for him. Would love to see a swap, Gaither for Lynch but that is unlikely. Maybe we can get Gaither for a 3? The Ravens want something for him, if they don't make a deal this off season then next season anyone can sign him and they get nothing. Time is on our side.

Good list except for Stew Barber who was a very good LT on the Bills Championship Teams and Jim Ringo who was a starting center for the Packers Glory Team and a great OL coach for Buffalo. You still need to add Billy Joe Hobert and Mike Williams. What about Bucky Brooks?

We actually ran well last season, especially considering we did not have a passing game. Levitre, Hangartner and Wood will all be better after another year together. Levitre and Wood are going to be very good players. If we have some consistentcy at tackle we will be better than the revolving door we had last year were we had 6 different starters. The key will be the play of the LT and also keeping the same 5 players in tact as a unit.

I for one say yes, he should expect to come here and not be harassed by knuckleheads. It's not like he didn't warn anyone. I am amazed he lasted this long. Go ahead and excuse it away and at the same time throw an insult at him like it is his fault.

Butler - great player but no wall. He did not play long enough. Nelson - very good player. no wall. there are already a few players on the wall that should not be. It is getting a bit crazy right now.

Tough call here. Byrd had more interceptions than Edgerson and was an excellent punt returner. Edgerson was the shutdown corner of the two so the may have kept away from him. He held Alworth in check in both championship games. He consistently drew the tough assignments. No one who watched him play will argue with it. That said, Lou Saban should be the one to go on. Come on Ralph, you remember Lou!

Since we are playing a 3-4 I think we might keep 8 LBs. Mitchell will make the team because I think he could play inside or outside if needed. We do not have much on the outside and he could start there. Especially if Schoebel retires and Kelsay may be a liability in coverage. What else do we have .. Ellison? Maybin? Batten? Ellis?

Not to say we have tons of talent but there are some good players, such as: Evans and Spiller could be game breakers in the right situation. Freddy Jackson is a good running and receiving thereat. We have some hope at TE with Nelson and Shouman was starting to look good. Levitre, Hangartner and Wood will improve in the middle of the OL and are promising. The not so good: WRs Johnson and Hardy are not proven in the least. Bell is not proven at LT. Green is average at best, at RT. QB is the wildcard. Will Gailey be able to get Trent to play? If not, can Brohm be a starter? If not, then we have another year of Fitz trying his best while being barely average.

Yes. In a very broad sense of it I am referring to "sharing the spoils", as opposed to "you get what you earned". It is not important. My point is I would like to see these older players get some help and there are plenty of resources to do it.

Joe D has been leading the fight to improve pensions for the older NFL players. Many are poor and broken down and live in pain. I think the NFL and the Players Union should subsidize the pensions of these players to improve benefits. The money is there, how much do todays players, coaches and owners really need to make? They have the opportunity to cash in big and they have the awareness and resources to invest wisely for the future. Players from the 70's and back did not. Every time the NFL shows a clip of the great players of the past they are leveraging off of the era that built the NFL into the league it is today. Everytime I watch a game today I still think back to the 60's and 70's and the great players, their attitudes, and the selflessness of the majority. I am not a socialist I but think that Joe D is correct in his fight.

Nine in the box? Bring it on. You have to keep trying for the big plays. I would say a 3 WR set would be very effective. No safety help on a deep man, no safety help on a secondd deep man ... should be lots room for the slot receiever or TE. Play action to freeze the LB and safeties. I would love to play against 9 in a box if I had the right weapons.

Possible scenario is: Brown might not be on the Practice Squad because there is a chance he would not clear waivers. For that reason one of the QBs from last year will be cut and Brown will be #3.
