Wow. Poyer makes that big of a difference? The Steeler have a bottom 5 offense in the AFC and they will put up 41 points? If we lose it is a frustrating one score game. I think we win 34-10

As a former center I think I do. LOL

And the play that Allen failed to spike the ball before the half, that was on Allen. He lost control of the ball.

What botched snap?

Agree, TE depth is not great. I was hoping OJ Howard could help add a two TE look to the offense.

Who does Tre take over for when he returns?

I don't know how I missed your attempt at humor. Your 4-1-4 nine-man defense that includes a guy on IR is hilarious. -

They pretty much always play 4 DL, with 2LBs and 5 DBs. Taron Johnson plays Nickel CB and is the 5th DB. Hyde is out for the season. Edmunds is not getting traded during the season (if at all). Do you watch the games? -

I do not think McD cares about what round you were picked in at this point. Benford was slightly ahead of Elam to start the season, so he started the 6th rounder (and Benford a few more reps each game). Maybe this isn't the case anymore given Elam's progress and Benford's injury? I think they will rotate a lot, but if you had to pick starters it would be a fully healthy White playing with Dane Jackson/Elam rotation. If White comes back and is still playing himself into game shape that could change. -
He is a damm good player and clearly a leader on the team. i hope Beane can find a way to pay him and keep us out of cap trouble. He is only going to get better.

Beasley was a warrior on the field. He produced, was clutch, and he played injured. G TGT Rec Yds Ave TDs 46 325 231 2438 10.6 11 Pretty good three years of work.

Which one has the speech anomaly? They are both pretty bad IMO.

The height of arrogance of some here to think the Steelers don't have a chance. Neither did Jacksonville last year.

They do. Haven't you learned that the NFL has upsets EVERY week?

Bills and Tavon Austin mutually part ways
Bob in STL replied to Steel City Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
No we are not. These kinds of comments really make me mad. -
Seems reactionary to move out on this so fast. Lets see how Tre and how Micah look when they return first. Let's be happy that we have a pile of good looking young DBs. If I was Tre and the Bills said, "we are moving you to safety right now", I would be not too happy. Lets give Tre a shot to recover and return to form in the position he excels at. Besides, Tre may never project as a safety in this defense and he has a big shutdown corner contract. Elam and Benford are playing very good football but they still have a lot to learn. They have never faced Mahommes, Brady, Herbert, Burrow, etc. , so lets not anoint them based on a few games. The NFL has a way of catching up. Lets also recognize that the DL pass rush is helping a lot. As for Hamlin and Jaquan Johnson, why don't we let the coaches decide if they are the weakest links? I have not seen a major mistake by Hamlin yet, but I am not an expert either. Thankfully, McDermott and Frazier are experts.

Jordan Poyer named AFC Defensive Player of the Week
Bob in STL replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
We need him in the line up on game day. -
He glanced that way and 28 was still behind the LOS, he quickly look that way again and saw Lawson breaking free (Lawson was held but contained Lamar in the pocket at least), plus the Bills linebacker was there near 28. It looks easy on Youtube and you can imagine it is much harder on field level. Lamar got the ball out late because of pressure. Poyer read Lamar and made the play. Like Allen missing McKenzie in Miami, no one makes every play.

Now is the time we need Cook to start playing well
Bob in STL replied to Orlando Buffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall
You don't know anything about how Cook prepares, how he practices, his grasp the offense, or if he can help pass protect. He needs to stop dropping the ball the first time he touches it. He looks like a guy that is not prepared when he is out there. He has to earn the right to play. -
wrong on so many levels. He didn't see them because of the pressure. Rousseau is a big guy.

I thought I read somewhere that Benford could be targeted for a safety spot at some point, but I don't which safety spot. Seem like DBs in this defense do not always fit the traditional definition, especially the nickel, SS, and FS positions. From what I can tell, Hamlin is doing well in Hyde's spot.
-
Don't forget Taron Johnson, a 4th rounder. He could be the best NCB in the league. His coverage skills AND his tackling ability against the run allow us to stay with 5 DBs even against a heavy offense formation.

You are taking a lot of shots for this. Please describe the flaws and what areas of our game lacks consistency? Then look are the team’s total offensive and defensive rankings. Maybe you should do the later first?

He started the Bengals too.
