  1. Hard to say for sure but it is close.
  2. Wrong. Did you see our defense last week? Running is good for them too. We want "weak armed Sanchez" to throw, don't we?
  3. "NATURALLY root for" ???? What are you smokin'? Toronto is NOT Buffalo and the guy who worked the Toronto deal with Ralph is already dead. Where ever they move to you can expect a total change in uniforms, logos and team name. His legacy is the BUFFALO Bills and the Stadium with his name on it sitting out in OP. Ralph has time right now to maintain a team in Buffalo by working with a consortium of ownners with the same vested interest. He can also be working with the County and the State. Who knows? He may be doing this right now. Moving to Toronto is not good enough. The team can stay in Buffalo with some careful thought and planning. Just settling for a team in Toronto is unacceptable.
  4. He played to seasons as a DB and a punt returner. Had 9 picks and 1 TD. I seem to remember him as a position coach but cannot place it?
  5. You make some very good points. One more point ... there still are many fans that do not want to see excessive showboating. There was a time when quarterbacks did get "crushed into the ground" and the guy who did the "crushing" just got up and walked away. There was a time when a special teams reserve player made a tackle and did not celebrate like he just freed the Western World. The great Packer teams of Vince Lombardi never did the "Lambeau Leap". Some fans actually prefer sportmanship and a grace. Performance without one-ups-manship. I appears that we are becoming a minority.
  6. An impact player at LT or DE/ LB. Really depends on who is else is there but if Bell looks good for the remainder of the season I would look for a player that could help our front 7.
  7. Well at least there was 1 play off and three winning seasons in that 13 year span to eleviate the pain. We also had OJ and some better players than now. I personally think the past 10 year is the worst. Maybe its the excessive media coverage or the internet?
  8. Sounds good. We are due and maybe they are overconfident? We can do it if we get a big game from the defense.
  9. Good call. Two weeks and two bone headed plays later ... let's see him score again and not get a penalty.
  10. I gave it a listen and it was not good. There is very little rap/hip- hop that I like. I am no youngster but I thought "beast mode" came from video games?
  11. Maybe it will help? The Jets could be content to just run the ball. If we can stop the run and force Sanchez into mistakes passing that will help us a lot.
  12. I don't know Dean, the past few years have been very frustrating for me. This is the longest period without a playoff team and it is also a period with the fewest good players. At least the 70's had OJ and the Saban II anf Knox era's. The 80's sarted ok and ended good and on the upswing. The 2000 - 09 era had nothing. Below average teams, boring teams, poor cochaes, revolving door of players, very few star players. The league is set up to favor the poor teams and enable their improvement and Buffalo has not been able to take advantage. We have ZERO wall of Fame players from this era. Ok ... Maybe Moorman.
  13. You can lament about who we could of and should have drafted and it won't help a thing. You can blame the signing of Kelsey as if it is some kind of eternal sign ... the truth is if we had better players we wouldn't need Kelsey. This team will not progress until it gets proper leadership starting at the top. Great leaders have the ability to look forward and make the right decisions. To work a plan forward and not dwell on the past. What would help greatly is a clearly defined organization with set goals. Since TD was fired the organization has been a mystery. Who is in charge? Who does what? Who cut Edwards? Who made that draft pick? Who signed that free agent? This is just crazy and this is the thing that frustrates me than anything else about the team. It would be nice if Buddy Nix would come out of hiding and explain what is going on and what the real plan is for this team. I guess we will hve to wait until the end of the season for that. I will not root against them but my frustration level is very high.
  14. Don't let reality get in the way, his next stop is Honolulu. You sure? We just released a guy that was playing inside? I will agree that he looks like an OLB in a 3-4 and I sure hope he develops into something. He need to find a late round gem to speed up the rebuild.
  15. Only show in town? What about the Sabres? The Bulls? The Bandits?
  16. + 1 Decent guy but ... he is an average 4-3 DE.
  17. Wait, I thought we hated him too?
  18. Did you just buy a magazine?
  19. It was a 51 yarder and we had the lead. We have nothing to lose ... nothing to fear but fear itself. I say you go for it with 24 seconds on the clock. If you miss it you tried, you showed confidence in your team, and then you demand that your defense hold them for 24 dam seconds. All we did was spot Brady 7 yards.
  20. Why do you say that? He was a mid level, mid priced free agent. He performed at a good level. Seemed to be a team guy. Who lets a Pro Bowl player walk unless they have issues? What are you expecting? He and Poz are the only two LBs on this team that could even play on a decent defense in the NFL.
  21. Pop Culture of today.
  22. You have to be cut, then clear waivers, to be put on the practice squad. Eat more fiber for the other problem.
  23. Like it or not he was one of the better LBs on the team, and one of the few that could cover.
  24. I know what you mean. I am a long time fan and I really appreciate Ralph for what he did bringing a team here and keeping it here. The team needs a new direction and they need a fresh start with competent leadership that focuses on winning football games. If Ralph dies and the team is sold to the highest bidder then say good Buffalo. I just don't think that is what Ralph wants. What kind of legacy is that? If he wants them to stay then he should relinquish control now, sell the team to a Buffalo based consortium, and still be allowed to be on the Board of Directors as a minority shareholder. Does the NFL have rules against that? I do believe that they have to approve a change in ownership.
  25. Ubrick and Wang have no game experience at all. Your line might be worse than this years version. You want to improve? Try this going into camp next year. LT - Bell and Wang compete LG - Levitre, Howard and Urbick compete C - Hangartner and Wood compete RG - Wood, Howard and Urbick compete RT - Bring in proven NFL veteran and also draft a talented tackle that is not an after thought Meredith and Green - buh bye
