  1. Pears is getting fitz killed. He is fast becoming my least favorite lineman
  2. Still don't understand the 2nd and one. This team can fold fast.
  3. Killer. Two bad plays. Our punt coverage is suspect.
  4. Draw play. Another good call. Hmmmm
  5. Spiller. Best play call in eight weeks. TD
  6. Our first big break in so long time.
  7. Horrible tackle kelsey
  8. Fitz is horrible. That our not an nfl qb throw on third down.
  9. Pears getting owned.
  10. Antonio Colemangets a thread. Yes, tthings are really bad for this team.
  11. Comes back, back to what? We still don't know if he can play. Has great size and speed, I just hope he can run good patterns, catch, and stay on the field.
  12. If this is real then congrats. Promoting the team is simple? Build a winner. Stop the losing. Kill the notion that the Bills are a cheap, disfuntional organization that has no direction and is run by bean counters that have no interest in winning. You can market to casual fans by doing all the things that Brandon has already been doing. Big deal to that. I am afraid until your boss Littman is gone this will be a tough sell. Let Mr. Brandon know that real fans, the die hards, do not have confidence in this front office. The charade that was a GM job search jaded me forever, and I been have a fan since 1964. Buddy Nix was picked because "Ralph knew him". Great. Before that, how about the announcement that Tom Modrak, who had been the Chief Scout fot ten years was finally going to be allowed into the "inner circle" in draft day. We hear this stuff, quoted directly from these guys, and we lose confidence. The product on the field backs up the disfunction in the front office. Good luck. PS - I don't expect you to help draft better players or bring in better coaches. How about getting rid of the out of control drunks at the stadium and fix up the bathrooms. They both are an embarrassment to Buffalo. Look at Ted Black and copy that. That would be a good start. See if Mr. Brandon can at least do that right.
  13. 8 passes for 75 yards. I don't understand all the Revis fuss? Maybe other teams avoid Revis more because thay have better options? Johnson is a tough call. I don't see him as a legit #1 elite guy, but he is 100X better than anything else we have. You just know somweone else will pay him and make him the best #2 reciever in the NFL. Signing Bell will also be a tough call. Our pitiful FO would typically let Bell walk and "hope" that Hairston can do the job. Then replace Bell with a lesser back up behind Hairston. One big reason we never get better is that we replace the same postions over and over again.
  14. A few changes: Free Agency: Wide Receivers: 1. Let Roscoe Walk. yes 2. Cut Roosevelt. Why? Let him compete for a roster spot. 3. Extend or franchise Stevie. Not to a big #1 contract. He is not an elite reciever. Slow with average hands. He is good, not great 4. Give Fitz and Stevie something to work with, sign one of the Jacksons, Vincent or DeSean. bring in more speed and size - yes OL: 1.Sign Bell to an extension, (Free Agent) tough one -- yes, but don't break the bank on him 2. Sign Jared Gaither: hear me out, he is now starting for the Chiefs and has looked good/healthy. Provides much needed depth and skill when healthy. He is a major risk due to past health issues. Bring in solid veteran help or spend a premium draft pick on a LT. We need a better LT and we need a backup C/G 3. We signed Pears today, so if Urbik doesnt take an affordable offer let him walk. (free agent) No. Urbik should be retained. He is solid. Pay him a fair rate DL: 1.Cut Spencer Johnson no. don't cut people and give jobs away. sign better people and then compete in camp 2. Sign John Abraham: He is getting up there in age but does still have 2-3 years of good production left, and he can help a young defense. no. Too old. LB: 1. Andra Davis, Kirk Morrison, and Reggie Torbor are all free agents. Would prefer to bring back Torbor for depth, let the others walk. Torbor is the worst of the bunch and they are all expendable 2. Sign Anthony Spencer: He can be had at a good price, reliable preformer on the field and an upgrade at a weak position for us. Sign a big talent, make a splash. Draft a pass rusher DE/OLB too. DRAFT: Now time for the fun part...its really early but I thought I would put together the first two rounds. too early for this but it is obvious we have major needs are QB, LT, Pass rusher, WR 1. I assume we will be picking between 8-12 this year, so I propose we trade back to around 16-19 and pick up another 2nd round pick while grabbing..... 1st: ILB Vontaze Burfict from Arizona State, can be had after trading back; Burfict has great instincts, makes plays sideline to sideline and is far more disciplined than he gets credit for. Has a ton of experience and will draw comparisons to many of the elite middle linebackers. youtube.com/watch?v=d7achvXsy3Q 2nd (number 1): Mike Adams, OT from OSU. Suspended for the first few games this season due to the OSU scandal. He is a mountain of a man, 6'8 320. He plays nasty and brings toughness and has played against top level players while at OSU. He has long and powerful arms and has been extremely durable while playing both LT and RT. 2nd (number 2): Brandon Jenkins, DE from FL State. Had a huge year in 2010 but a little dip in 2011, but still played extremely well. Played DE in college and could get to the QB, has the speed and ability to play OLB for us, but I like him at end. Here are his highlights. Have not had enough time to do the other rounds, but I'll get them. Shoot away, and feel free to post your ideas.
  15. Not quite sure about that John. A swing tackle implies he can play both positions. Not sure how Pears would do at LT? He is not very athletic, footwork and balance could be a problem. He is decent at RT, for most teams he would be solid depth. Re-sign Bell, move Hairston to RT and have him push Pears, and bring in an legitimate talent on LT to challenge Bell. We are $25M below the cap, how hard is this for any decent Front Office?
  16. Did you ever think that maybe, just maybe, Stevie and his agent are the ones waiting?
  17. Makes a lot of sense. I am very disappointed in the recent play calling. Lets not forget that since the first Jets game, EVERY team jams our WRs at the line and we do not have an answer for it. We don't use motion, we don't use a fullback, we no longer have a TE. We go deep on short yardage situations and come off the field too soon. We abandoned the screens. No reverses, no draws, no options, not even a wild cat here and there anymore. I think we will find out Fitz is playing with a rib injury.
  18. Dareus looks like a real NFL DL. Williams looked good too. Hairston can push for a RT spot. Searcy and Rogers are maybes. Just getting three solid starters out of this draft would be great. Not asking much when you look at the rest of the roster.
  19. Easley WR - unproven, not a starter Parish WR - 3rd WR/slot - not a starter Merriman - OLB/DE - starter White LB - Not a starter Wood C - starter Williams DT - starter Jones - WR - starter (but really should not be) Mcgee - CB -starter but career on last legs Jackson -RB - starter Lindell - k -starter Troup - NT - not a starter Technically 7 starters but take away the kicker and McGee and Jones and you have 4 starters that make a really big difference. Jackson, Wood, Williams and Merriman. I think that Jackson, Wood and Williams are the best players on the team. Not sure, is Chandler on IR too?
  20. We were not as good as we thought we were in September, and we are not as bad as we think we are now. This game is 50% mental and the rest is in your head. We lack leadership and players that hate to lose. Dareus has impressed me, being a rookie and giving the team a locker room speech is rare. Draft a few more like him, at any position, and we will get better. I think a better DC will help a lot too.
  21. So Troup can maybe, possibly, be good someday? But never as good as Gronkowski? Right?
  22. Problem 1 - They started with an marginal 4-3 defense and simply did not the right players to switch to 3-4 Problem 2 - The drafted some 3-4 players that are not very good Problem 3 - They don't really play in free agency, that cuts into nap time, so given the recent draft history this could take a long time Problem 4 - they hired a DC with limited NFL credentials Problem 5 - they hired a legit NFL DC and let him coach DE's that try, but cannot, play LB
  23. Why stop at Gronkowski? You could make this statement about every player we ever drafted with the exception of maybe 6. Why not lament equally on all picks? Give us some new stuff to read.
