Positives/negatives from today. What are yours?
Bob in STL replied to miserable_fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Positives: 1. We won 2. We won on the road 3. We won a game we could have easily lost 4. The defense did some things differently and better Negaitves: 1. Fitz is regressing 2. We have no backup QB (again like last year) -
What's wrong with Chan Gailey
Bob in STL replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
^ This! And toss in punting in OT instead of a 53 yard FG attempt. Yes, our defense will handle it ... right Chan? Maybe this week against a back up QB but still really dumb? The only thing dumber was the 3 passes from Fitz when we needed 7 or 8 yards to get Lindell to a comfortable kick distance. No wait, the only thing dumber was the deep pass from the Wild Cat when we should have been running down the clock. Yes, we won, we finally got enough breaks to overcome Chan and Fitz. -
anyone else numb to all this?
Bob in STL replied to billsfan_34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have been wacthing them since 1964, I was just a kid then. I went to the season opener versus KC, i will not attend a second game. Had fun but I am starting to tire off the drunks and the rowdies and the poor facility. It is really bad at the Ralph. Since I am out of town I watch them at a Sports Bar with other BillsBackers. Yesterday I was offered Cardinal Playoff ticket and passed on the Bills. that woudl have never happened before. I feel no hope to even win six games this season. I am numb to them at this point. Things will not change until the following happens: 1 -- hire a talented Football Executive to lead the way, 2 - bring in a legitiimate coaching staff, and 3 - draft a top NFL QB. We just went through yet another regime change and three years later we are no better off than before. -
Time for a re- vote, has Chan Gailey lost this team?
Bob in STL replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lets see ... poor preparation, poor execution, poor attitude, and no pride. I vote "Yes". -
The way he punted last Sunday I am not surprised. However, I am worried about the affect on Lindell and the FG team. I think this move could have waited.

Dan Darragh: Bills Quarterback Late 1960s
Bob in STL replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ouch. Dan looked good for a year .. oh wait ... that was Dennis Shaw. -
There is something I really like about your avatar?

The most worrying thing I saw today....
Bob in STL replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tha same can be said about the defense. No blitzes ro anything to make Sanchez hurry. Wanny pretty much sent out 11 guys to do the same thing every play. -
Not happy now but i will be at "The Ralph" next week reay for the Chiefs. I just hope Wanny shows up and brings a gameplan.

Why we got embarrassed today
Bob in STL replied to buffalo_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bad pre-season for this team and the coaching staff. It carried right into today. This team was simply not ready. Ryan outcoaches Gailey every time. This was embarassing. -
100 million dollar mistake?

Hey Mario. Next time punch back. -
Bills who stunk against Jets
Bob in STL replied to FanofFredJackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1 - Fitz - bad decisions, poor throws 2 - Super Mario - did nothing 3 - Stache -- WTF was he doing? 4 - McKelvin - He is last because I expect him to stink. -
Looked pretty even to me. Both of them made plays. Revis made more and bigger plays but he had the benefit of going against Firtz who was just plain horrible today.
-
Good post Bill. I agree on some of your points, not all. 1) BEAUTIFUL run by CJ before the half.... -- CJ was the best player on the field. 2) Did anyone see McKelvin take a knee with 20 or so seconds remaining inthe first half on a kickoff?... -- He is not a football player. 3) I think that I like Cordy Glenn, costly penaly or not... -- to early to say but he shows potential. 4) For the record, Lee Smith is better than most of you think... --- Nobody fears our recievers or any aspect of our passing game. 5) Absolutely horrible picks thrown by Fitz... --- Fitz is showing he is a backup in this league. His arm is not good enough. . 6) Go ahead.....tell me about the wonderful stats that Spiller had today. I'm not impressed... -- Best player on the field today, and that includes both teams. Ask Rex Ryan what he thinks. 7) Gailey needs to step up and take charge of this football team. He should have taken Fitz out immediately ... --- and play Thigpen? Really? We do not have an NFL QB in our roster Bill. Lets talk to Buddy nix about that. And Wanny was, not decisive enough today... --- Wany did nothing but play the same defense all day. No blitz, no preassure, nothing. 8) ... -- Usually a Grateful Dean Lyriuc is inserted here. 9) This game, in some way, endeared me to Kelsay... Kelsy was there today, where was Super Mario? 10) OK, here is the REAL deal wrt McKelvin... I would cut him. 11) Btw, Gilmore sucked today... --- No he did not. He is a rookie CB and this was his first game. Please. 12) We are in this together.. --- true

Yes. Being brusk and argumentative with Linda Bogdan, and that was the extent of it. People at OBD have said so. Now can we end all the crazy talk about Bill calling her names and hating her. Face it, he knew her qualifications were not there and being outspoken like he is he made some comments. That is it, let it go. All this crud on the boards about Bill calling her inappropriate names needs to end and die right now. Ralph buried the hachet with Bill Polian long ago. I am glad to see Bill go on the wall. I sure hope I am in town for that game.

Gil Brandt Updated Top 100 Prospects
Bob in STL replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Could be LB or WR at #10. Buddy says there are tackles in this draft and he made it seem like this was beyond the first round too. -
Bills fans please, stop worrying about not selecting

Mike silver on polian in indy
Bob in STL replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One of the best GMs in the business and a certain Hall of Famer. Being a jerk has not hurt his performace. Kind of like that coach in New England. I'll bet he retires for good after this fiasco. -
Maybe Stevie is better than we thought
Bob in STL replied to Captain Hindsight's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If those were Revis's worst games then start making his bust for Canton right now. I still think some of Stevies "sucess" against Revis is that Fitz had no other options. Stevie = Good. Revis = Great. -
Oh, I see, ... Polian was trying to refrain from dealing with the Bills by first dealing with the Bills for McCargo. I think Polian will tell you that Irsay does not know what its like to be the bad man?
-
Sure, Polian purposely traded for a crappy and injured McCargo just so Irsay would get mad at Ralph Wilson and then agree to NEVER trade Manning to Buffalo. Makes sense. Stay tuned tomorrow for "As The World Turns" with special guests, Pete Townsend and Roger Daltry.

Larry Felser calls it a career
Bob in STL replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well said. Those were great days with two newspapers in Buffalo. Felser was always a must read. I often saved his column for last because he was the best. -
But Jean-Luc was pretty darn good.

Polian says Gronk failed their physical
Bob in STL replied to bbb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gronkowski, Gronkowski, Gronkowski. Another new thread on Gronkowski. Yes, GMs across the AFC East are up all night thinking of who to draft to stop this amazing and wonderous Gronkowski. Fans wonder where will Gronkowski party tonight and will he leave his shirt on? Still others might wonder how his ankle really feels? Maybe we can start on thread on what his favorite place is for wings or pizza?
