  1. Losing breeds bad blood. I would have thought that after making the playoffs the team would have been on an upswing. The post season was really bad for this team.
  2. Who Rex and Rob? no, Terry and Kim? no wait, Buddy and Whaley? No hold on, its Marrone and Hackett? No, wait a minute, I got it, it all goes back to Jauron and Brandon ... or was it Chan and Fitz? This would not be TSW without a favorite whipping boy or two.
  3. Yes, we had an injury to deal with and him quitting left no spare CBs. I dont think his departure will hurt anything. We will pick up a corner and move on. It might actually serve to unite the defense even more. I question the character if anyone that thinks what he did, at the time he did it, was the correct thing. Reading a lot of comments here and in national media from fans thinking this is ok because the Bills are a bad team. This was not right and it’s not a joke and the Bills should make every effort to see he does not get any more money than the legal minimum.
  4. How would the TV crew know that McD took over the defensive play calls? Them having access to halftime changes is the last thing the game needs.
  5. Mills look really bad today, followed closely by Miller. Pathetic.
  6. Close. Marine had better talent and now he has Coughlin. That helps.
  7. Fine if his heart is not in it and his brain is telling him to stop playing. But tell the coaches you can’t go and just sit the 2nd half. Be there to support the team, especially with another guy hurt and no backup corners left. After the game talk to the coach. Retire on Monday. This is all about him meeting the absolute minimum required to get paid. What a bum.
  8. I used to love beating the Colts when Jimmy boy was their QB.
  9. Come on, I said two seasons. TWO SEASONS is not a long time. If he is showing improvement then I give him the third season as well. Lose the locker room? They can go 0-16 and Allen won't loose the locker room if he is progressing and assumes leadership. Today, he took the lead out there. That was the best part of his performance. Afterwards he was accountable for his game. Cannot ask for more.
  10. you forgot about disrespectful to your teammates which is worst of all. Just wait, by tomorrow he will say this is all a misunderstanding and then claim an injury. Whatever it takes to get paid.
  11. So I am going to give Allen a few YEARS to develop. Not a game, not a few games. At least a few seasons. Others can pick apart every play but IMO he is learning and he has a lot to learn.
  12. Did not say I bought the reason. I said he had on and he did not quit in the game. huge difference. I don't care about the rumors either.
  13. Retiring in camp I can understand. Retiring at halftime of a game? Maybe you can understand it but sure I don't understand it, and I don't want to understand it, and I would not want someone like that on my team in any capacity. So in the long run this is addition by subtraction. It is not acceptable no matter if we outscored 106-6.
  14. Boldin quit in preseason, and had a reason, big difference. Richie retired, then asked to be cut and we all know he is not well … another big difference. Vontae Davis quit on his team at halftime with no injury. What a bum. Who the heck Robinson?
  15. He did not communicate a thing to the coaches because McD said after the game that "he took himself out" McD did not know why. I would criticize him all day long for quitting. Even if he did not want to play for whatever reason why not come out and be with the team? If he is injured that is one thing but if he was injured McD did not know about it.
  16. Overall a good effort for a rookie, playing against a good defense with a bad OL and bad receivers. The accuracy questions are very real … he missed a few easy ones, especially a few short ones, and throwing behind his receivers on occasion. Obviously he was playing under big pressure as our OL is putrid. I like the leadership he showed.
  17. Wrong. He was voted to 3 pro bowls and 2 All APro Teams while playing on a very crappy team. This means he was widely recognized by the league and the sports writers. He was a shutdown corner before they came up with the term. He was the reason they outlawed the bump and run. James is on the Bills Wall of Fame after a 6 year career. This is both recognition and appreciation. They can get no higher honor. Had and he played 10 years he may have been a Hall of Fame player, but like many, many, others players injuries shortened a great career. He he was not underappreciated but time moves on.
  18. Rueben was excellent and not underrated by virtue of his many Pro Bowls. I thought Jim Ritcher and Joe Devlin were underrated Offensive Lineman.
  19. Actually Miller is worse and if he performs as poorly this week as he did last week a move would not surprise me. Ducasse graded out much better in week 1, he gets a lot a flack here, some deserved and some not. Not sure Teller is the guy but if Bodine replaces Groy it would not surprise me at all to see Groy replace Miller and not DuCasse. We shall see.
  20. They are very safe and they should be. They have this year and next year. If they are moving up then they have the next year to get to legitimate contender status. If by then they are not on a real path to contender, you fire Beane, not McDermott, and then let the new GM hire the next coach. If Beane chooses to fire McD on his own you let him do itand you let him pick the next guy. Finally, you do NOT fire Bean until you have several EXPERIENCED GMs available that you can sign.
  21. I’m thinking we give them a second game before making such assertions. Maybe even a second season.
  22. Yes, paid the price, but I should clarify by saying he is "paying the price". He will most likely be out of football after this season. He was rushed, he started two games that he never really deserved to start. Could he have ever been a starter in the NFL? Probably not, we all see it. Could he have ever been a decent back up or journeyman? Maybe for awhile, but I doubt it after this season. If his career ends then paid the price for McD rushing him. You can take a harsher stance and say he got his big break and he blew it, which he did. Yes, some people never get a chance, I get that. IMO he was not handled right and Allen is on the some path of not being handled right. Many QBs get to hang around for years and years and some actually blossom later in their careers. Kurt Warner, Rich Gannon, Jim Plunkett and Lenny Dawson come to mind in this category. They all hung around for a few years before they could see the game well enough to play at a high level.
  23. One ball hit Zay with in the facemask. I guess he didn't see it? I looked at that video review. Some of those guys declared open were not open, especially in the heat of the pass rush when the QB is not set. Still, there were opportunities to make plays that the "1st rookie" missed. Some guys that were open deep were open because the safety locked onto Peterman, who never looked off and went to a second option. Hoping or 2nd rookie QB can see the field better and deliver the ball.
  24. I'm predicting Zay Jones will not be any teams NFL roster come next season.
  25. Peterman is almost as much of a rookie as Allen is. I wish people, especially the media, would get off his back. Looking back at this mess, Coach McD put him in a bad situation twice, with last years decision being an extremely dubious one indeed. The only benefit from all of this is now we all know he is not an NFL QB ... but Peterman really paid the price for these bad decisions.
