Should Teams Start Spying Josh Allen?
Bob in STL replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well Allen had one good game so not sure opposing DC’s are shaking in their boots. Given our lack of a game breaker at WR or TE why not spy on Allen. Better yet have the spy watch McCoy. -
Thank you Vontae, you galvanized this team...
Bob in STL replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He was injured and on the downside when we signed him. We only signed him to a one year contract. He was a stop gap signing for one year, not our answer at #2CB. -

Good leaders may use the Vontae issue as a motivational spark but the best leaders don’t need it. You want keadership and motivation to come from within and be part of the make up of your players. -
The flip to RR was the worst call I've ever seen.

Really, and we weren’t even playing the Jets. -
I see I had a typo but I don't know what you are referring to.

Are We The Worst Bills Fans Since The Polian Years?
Bob in STL replied to Rob's House's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can't say the fans here are the worst since the Polian era or any era for that matter. Many of the fans here have never seen winning years. These same fans also grew up in the era of instant gratification with the internet and hand held devices changing the way we communicate and also changing the AMOUNT we communicate. I think these factors have a lot to do with the behavior. The idea of wanting to fire McDermott and Beane after one season is absurd but many here were calling for it change and upheaval is all they know. Given this I try to be patient with this line of thinking. -
Russ Bodine made a huge difference
Bob in STL replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As I mentioned in another thread, the line calls improved with Groy out of the lineup, so that in itself is a big help. TSW Whipping Boy Ducasse looked to have another decent game. The right side is still weak and all the illegal procedure calls on the tackle lining up in the backfield have to stop (Mills). Overall the line seems to be serviceable when execute their assignments. -
Would you rather have: Mahomes or both Allen & Tre?
Bob in STL replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We did not trade down the Mohomes pick and get Tre and Allen. Pointless question. -
Don’t give me THAT Bologna, I want Wardinski’s!

Yeah I would worry now about the $5K

I want to laugh at this but gambling debt is serious stuff. I have seen gambling ruin families so I feel for this guy. To the OP, Pay the debt, consider it a life lesson , and watch sports without betting. -
Foster - Well he gets open and he seems to know the plays so for a rookie Fister has 2/3rds of it. Sure he needs to catch the ball. I would not cut him so soon, he can improve and we have nothing else. Beane needs to make WR a priority.

Micah Hyde's San Diego wife loves Buffalo
Bob in STL replied to WhoTom's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was there in the 80’s. It was not paradise then and it’s still is not. Great weather? Yes Beautiful women? Yes Great Beaches? Yes. skyrocketing property values only help you if you already have a house. It’s very hard to get anything decent for a young guy starting out on your own. Jobs are there but pay is low relative to the cost of living. The public schools are crap. California politics are crap. Taxes are high. Illegal immigrants are a problem and a topic of debate and division. Crime is not too bad for California, but high enough to be in the top percentile of the State. I did the California dream back in the day. After about five years I found out I actually like seasonal change and it’s healthy for me to have it. Once the kids came the stability of a traditional lifestyle with family and the values I can relate to outweighed the benefits of Southern California. -

Bills “Big Nickel” package is a Big Fail

You don't understand the cap. Tuhrod, Dareus, Wood, and Glenn are all killing us this year. This is why people debate their trades, we have to pay them these amounts. This is why AJ McCarron and Corey Coleman signings look bad now. This is why some people think Beane is doing the right thing, taking a huge hit in 2018 to get out of jail in 2019. Bills “Big Nickel” package is a Big Fail
Bob in STL replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One good running back is not enough to last you a season. We had only McCoy last year, the rest of our RB's were marginal players. None of them could be counted on to run, catch and block. Teams pretty much know what we are doing based on who is in the game after McCoy leaves. We are in the same boat this year. I agree with you not to tie up big money on 30 year old running backs but I do not think a good RB is a dime a dozen either. Nor do I think that there are a lot of great backup RB's out there or else we might actually have one. -

Bob in STL replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Running backs are NOT really a dime a dozen. That is one of the most overplayed thoughts in football today. Look at our depth at RB last year and now this year. Maybe a little better this year but not by much. That said. McCoy's contract is not a good one for us but that has more to do with his age. -

I Bet $5,000 on Minnesota. Should I Be Worried?
Bob in STL replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow. Never bet money you can’t afford to lose. Lets see, Bills are pissed about Davis quitting and national media lack of respect. Defense might be finding its groove after strong second half. Daboll might be getting the offense in better sync and Allen’s play likely to improve. Shady ready to break out. Minnesota likely to be looking past us too. Yup, you will cover.
