  1. He’s likely good enough for a backup position but based on what he’s said publicly it seems like he is steadfast on starting. He’s not good enough to deal with that headache
  2. Not really…. I remember he reported that Shaq Lawson was signing with the Bills shortly before the playoffs in 2021. No other media member wouldn’t comment on it - likely because it wasn’t happening…and it didn’t. Take anything that Bills bloggers report with a grain of sand Zero
  3. I don’t necessarily disagree it was an ass kicking in all phases… but this debate started over the “it’s all coaching” statement. To say that is flat out scapegoating. You are holding coaches responsible for high first round draft picks getting physically manhandled in the run game against a backup OL. That has nothing to do with coaching and it’s more about talent not executing all and getting their ass kicked. Gap integrity is all on the players. There was little against Cincinnati - that’s on the players.
  4. You’re not understanding my point. I’m not saying that the coaches are without blame. I am saying that EVERYONE deserves their blame. You want to try to say that everything is on coaching - which is very much a flawed argument. The reason I bring up Edmunds and Oliver is a perfect example of this. These are two players that you would not expect to get dominated by backup lineman. Yet…watch the tape. By trying to scapegoat the entire loss on coaching, you are giving a pass to several players who just simply played small in big moments. Most people that aren’t ultra emotional about the loss and can think pragmatically understand why your argument and mind self is tremendously flawed.
  5. So you still aren’t answering my question… I’m simply pointing out that some of the issues on defense had absolutely nothing to scheme or play calling - players like Edmunds and Oliver (among others) just got their asses kicked. No matter how hard you want to try - you can’t blame coaching for this. This destroys your entire argument which you could properly defend in the first place. L
  6. He’s very good…but he not THAT good. Can you even say he’s the best LT in the game? This was an overpay from Houston, but they’ll atleast have a solid OT to watch their rookie QB’s blindside
  7. The word people are looking for is disjointed on offense. You’d see moments where the bigger shot plays were there, but they would follow up with turnovers or 3 and outs to allow the other team back in the game. The factors you mentioned are there but I also don’t think you saw very much scheming or creativity in playcalling from Dorsey. Biggest example was the lack of a short passing game an an answer to aggressive defenses.
  8. You could say they same thing Kansas City. How many Super Bowl teams failed to make the playoffs the next season? It doesn’t mean it will happen.
  9. This I agree with. It was an organizational failure across the board but to say “100% on coaching” is pure scapegoating. I think the bland offensive and defensive game plans definitely were a big part of the problem but so were players who just got beat and dominated physically - namely Edmunds, Oliver, and probably out entire defensive and offensive line. That part is less about scheme and more about getting your ass kicked. But some fans don’t want to recognize this. Uh huh…. The Bills might actually be the first team to go 13-3 to 0-17. It could happen
  10. Some good points Hapless, but I don’t think the situation is as one sided as you do. They may very well keep Neal, largely because of his special teams ability, though I don’t think it’s a given. You mentioned that he’s the Bills “dime back and Taron Johnson’s backup at nickel.” He is the dime back but the Bills rarely play Dime and stick with their base Nickel defense. Neal doesn’t play many defensive snaps though, because he’s very poor at coverage. Look no further than the game against Kansas City this fall. It was thought that Neal, a player who I believe has boxing experience, could be physical and“beat up” a talented Tight End like Travis Kelce. The problem is he’s not very good at coverage and a few of his blunder turned into big plays including a long JuJu touchdown. He didn’t play many defensive snaps after that moment. So it all comes down to whether Buffalo wants to $2 million on the cap for a ST’s player or to reallocate If you play Neal on defense more often, get used to this:
  11. Since you didn’t answer my question, I’ll ask it again…Which part of coaching involved Tremaine Edmunds and EdOliver getting physically bullied by Cincinnati’s makeshift OL?
  12. Sometimes it’s just that simple.
  13. I agree for the most part. I do think that the disguised coverages from Cincy confused Josh but he was also running for his life most of the time.
  14. Which part of coaching involved Tremaine Edmunds and Ed Oliver getting physically bullied by Cincinnati’s makeshift OL? To say it was all “coaching” is inaccurate. It was a combo of bad coaching and bad execution. Players who needed to step up on the Bills…didn’t.
  15. People underestimate the role of luck when it comes to winning a Super Bowl. The Bills had perhaps, the worst luck of any teams when it came to injuries. Compare the Bills with Kansas City who was incredibly lucky all season long and really lucky in the postseason. Consider the Mahomes injury in both playoff games which hobbled him but didn’t result in him missing many plays. Or the minor injuries to the WR’s that knocked them out of the AFCCG, but they had healed up significantly thanks to the 2 week bye. This does not even take into account the lucky breaks they got on the field all season long and in the playoffs - especially the AFCCG. I think the injury situation caught up to them as did the weaknesses on the roster which were exploited in the Cincy game
  16. Wrong you are….
  17. BPA is always based on need…
  18. I’m sure it’s a one year deal….he may struggle to make the team.
  19. Lamar is a great quarterback but I think he’d be a lousy broadcaster. If you’ve seen his press conference he seems pretty laid back, no overly charismatic. He also doesn’t exactly have the gift of gab
  20. He was benched last season and they declined his 5th year option. Sometimes a player’s name or draft status outweighs his actual talent. This is one of those times
  21. Saffold was an incredibly BIG miss by our front office/coaching staff. He was so bad last season - legitimately one of the worst starting guards in the NFL. The line isn’t terrible. Overall it’s very mediocre and that’s my concern. I don’t think it’s good enough
  22. You are correct but I was looking at things in terms of a multi-year period, not just this off-season. Buffalo, Kansas City, and Cincinnati all have elite QB’s but each saw their post seasons come to an end in different years due to line play. At different points, it became obvious that an upgrade was needed. It just seems that both Kansas City and Cincinnati put more resources in addressing the issue than Buffalo has…so far at least
  23. I will feel a little better if they draft an OL prospect in the first 3 rounds. I feel they should go OL in Round 1 and then WR in Round 2 I think Dawkins would be a great guard but while he isn’t perfect he’s fairly reliable protecting Josh’s blindside. I’m not sure if they would feel comfortable with a relying on a rookie for that
  24. They haven’t really spent that much I would not be shocked to see LB/DE in Round 1. It’s probably my biggest fear
  25. Morse isn’t perfect but you can argue he probably was their best lineman last season They probably watched the Super Bowl
