  1. From what I’ve read Harty was damaged good. Still had some juke to him but did not have the explosiveness he showed in New Orleans. He also didn’t show the varied route running ability that he was believed to have shown in the past. I’m unsure if this is bad scouting by the front office or if the injury that took him out last year has limited his ability. Either way with his contract, this was a bad signing
  2. Here is the most likely group: Sean McDermott as HC Joe Brady as OC Bobby Babich as D McDermott wants to focus on game decisions, Brady stays given his success, Babich is promoted as a young up-and-coming play caller.
  3. Yeah like most of the projections on this forum, this is completely unrealistic. First off, given his background, if Bobby Slowick is hired as HC, he isn’t going to keep the incumbent OC and will call the plays himself. That would be like Rex Ryan keeping Jim Schwartz in 2015. It was never going to happen. He’d be more likely to bring a position coach from Houston/SF to be his quasi OC in title. Second if you are Joe Brady who (unless he falls off a cliff) will likely have some success as a play caller this season. Why would he want a situation where he wouldn’t actually be calling plays. Third, as you stated it makes zero sense for MacDonald to take a lateral move and even if he wanted to Baltimore would not allow it Trading draft picks for a coach is always a bad move, Buddy.
  4. It’s right up there with “he’s a loser that always loses”
  5. It all depends who has Terry’s ear. From what I understand, he was very close with McDermott Ultimately, the decision will be made by TP. But who else can influence him? We have no freaking close. This is not uncommon in the NFL. Many times the GM and Coach both report to the owner. It’s more desirable for a coach
  6. In on record that Kirby would be GM with the success rate of Buddy Nix
  7. I’ll agree with you on Brady. He’s made a helluva impression in the small 2 game sample size. But explain how McDermott has “lost” the locker room? Because you want to believe it? Say what you will about McDermott as a coach but nothing I’ve seen or nothing that has been reported would indicate he lost the locker room.
  8. I had no confidence in our defense when the Bills scored the go ahead touchdown. I was pretty sure Philly would easily get into FG range which they barely did. Then after when we settled for a FG I was pretty sure Philly was winning the game. We’ve just seen this too many times this year
  9. Reliable in 1988
  10. That doesn’t mean that Bass shouldn’t get heat for missing 2 huge kicks
  11. Bass just cannot miss 2 FG in a game like this. He let the team down big time and I’m not sure why more aren’t on his case
  12. For once we agree I felt horrible for Josh. He fought so hard and deserved that W. The game last night felt very much like the :13 game That’s not really true. It’s up to the defense to make a stop on the final possession. They’ve failed in many situations under McDermott.
  13. You do realize that Beane is involved in the conversations which players to sit and which ones to play right?
  14. Again this is foolish to imply. You’re assuming that draft picks are made in silos when they are not. It's not like the GM just makes a pick without coaches input. Also, if the GM was a superior evaluator of talent, then why would they let such great players walk away or trade them to other teams.
  15. Maybe in terms of run blocking as a WR. But I don’t find Woods and Davis to be comparable at all. Two different kinds of WR’s
  16. In that game they needed him as a blocker. But over the past 3 weeks he has like 3 receptions. This is not what they need from him.
  17. Last time Isabella was called up everyone assumed he’d be involved and I think he ended up playing special teams. With Dane Jackson out, I could see the same scenario play out. Then again we have a new OC who showed a willingness utilize different players in the offense. It’s not impossible to think he could be in on a few plays like Johnson last week. I think Ty Johnson is keeping him on the PS. He plays special teams and also has shown an ability to pitch in on offense
  18. you can’t give a GM credit if a player does well outside of your organization after you let them walk. That’s just flat out silly.
  19. Jim Kelly as QB really hurt the Bills toward the end of 1995 and 1996. During this time his body was breaking down but he was tough (and stubborn) as hell and stuck it out. In 1996, he was especially bad. The Bills defense during these years was probably the most talented unit Kelly ever teamed with. Unfortunately, the offense hit a lull around this time. Never appreciated him as a kid but he has a very cool announcer voice.
  20. They are referring to his run blocking in one game last week. When you look at his performance and numbers over the course of the season, he’s essentially the same player he’s always been. There was hope he’d step it up a little, and it really never happened.
  21. They did. WR2 was a big question mark as well. The Bills showed a ton of faith in Davis and it didn’t pay off
  22. Everyone is frustrated with Von. Instead of being the “closer” he’s now struggling to beat 3rd string tackles one-on-one. Like we saw with Tre, it sometimes takes a defensive player a full season after they return to get back to their old form. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see don’t see flashes of “the old Von” until next season
  23. BUY Kincaid! Philly biggest weakness early in the season was their inside backers. They’ve prayed that a castaway like Myles Jack would work out (he didn’t) and now they want in on Shaq Leonard. Result is a defense that struggles badly to defending TE’s. The strength of their defense is a super physical DL. I think a key part of the game plan might be getting the ball to Kincaid and Cook to beat pressure. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if Lenny is up this week.
  24. Ok so…explain how Knox has “not been the same?” Because to me, he seems to be the same player he’s been since 2021. Much like Gabe, I do feel the Bills hoped he’d take a bigger step forward. It hasn’t happened. But there’s no evidence to say it’s related to his brother.
  25. Ok explain how he hasn’t been himself…because his output in 2021 essentially matched 2022. This season he’s dropped passed but I don’t think you can say that’s related his brother. Omelette insensitive
