  1. This seems like such a grift from Erie county. There has to be better ways to spend $5,000!!!!
  2. I really liked Osborn in Minnesota and thought he would have been a great signing in Buffalo
  3. He’s also not very good at this point in his career and couldn’t beat out Tyquan Thornton. If we’re going to hire based on past accolades the Bills should’ve kept JuJu’s old teammate Chase Claypool
  4. Sure but the difference is that even though he’s not starting, he’s finally playing closer to the level they envisioned him for him. If this was a Cody Ford situation, it would be different
  5. Sal Carpaccio was speculating whether Buffalo could trade Kair Elam. His rationale was that Jamarcus Ingram has played well and could now be CB3 and Daequan Hardy has shown he can play on the outside. Personally I don’t think it happens because Elam would probably command a 4th round pick at best. The way Beane values his draft picks, I can’t see him selling a 1st rounder for pennies on the dollar
  6. I thought about this yesterday. Plummer looked really good. Of course, he won’t be throwing against Kyron Brown every week either!
  7. Makes sense….you might be right - this is what Erik from Cover1 said. Obviously we don’t know the call so all any fan can do is guess:
  8. Problem is that Andereesen have overachieved whereas Ulofoshio has been really lousy.
  9. I’ve been checking around this morning and it seems like the TD was definitely on him. He should have have taken the crossing route. Instead both Joe and Deion Jones jumped the RB. Outsider of that play I don’t think there were any lowlights. He played reasonably well for a UDFA
  10. UP: DiNucci & Brown - nothing crazy here but I think both showed that they are at least competent enough for a PS spot somewhere in the NFL. Frank Gore Jr - not only did he run hard but also showed really good vision. A strong showing and a player Buffalo should try to get on their PS. Aaron Kromer’s OL - Both 2nd and 3rd team squads did a really good job all day. Deon Cane - Took those screen passes and made something out of nothing multiple times. Te’Cory Couch - seemed to make a lot of plays today. Missed a few as well but he was around the ball a lot! Daequan Hardy - Largely regarded as a slot CB due to his size but it was amazing to see him play outside against Dionte Johnson. KJ Hamler - you could see his explosiveness and speed late in the game. DOWN: Kyron Brown - one of the worst players on the field today. Gave up many catches including the game clincher. Eddie Ulofoshio - First game action of his career but was bad both against the run and in pass coverage. Dee Delaney - Looked ridiculously slow and was out of position on the Marshall TD. Tyler Bass - After a shaky performance at practice his missed 50 yarder was hardly encouraging. What did you see? i watched Anderseen and thought he played ok. He didn’t have the splash played he had last week but aside from the TD I didn’t see anything too bad.
  11. Amateur wrestlers usually end fights. They won’t throw down but will instead take you down and end things with a front face lock. Pretty sure McDermott could handle himself
  12. I read the story by Ty Dunne. It said that while Terry loved Mahomes he wanted to empower his new HC and didn’t interfere in the decision. I believe the comment you’re referring to was from Doug Whaley on the Go Long podcast. IMO taking about Mahomes at 27 was hyperbole to illustrate how much Terry liked him. Whaley had zero real power that draft - McDermott was fully in control by all reports. If Terry didn’t stop McDermott from trading down why would he force him to take Mahomes at 27? Just about everyone who covered the Bills explained that the Bills were trying to acquire draft capital to position for themselves for a top QB in 2018. I’ll take their word over a guy who hasn’t worked in a front office since that draft.
  13. Anyone feeling leery about the KC trade in 2017 is just being overly dramatic. The context that you’re missing here is that the Bills GM and his scouting staff were all about to be fired days after the draft. If you were Sean McDermott, a defensive coordinator up to that point, are you going to trust the intel THE most important from a crew that has been largely unsuccessful. Plus the 2017 QB prospect pool was somewhat polarizing depending on the evaluator and the 2018 group seemed to be much stronger. This is why Buffalo passed on Mahomes and Watson in 2017. McDermott knew he wasn’t qualified to make that decision and he didn’t trust Doug Whaley. So he punted on the QB and waiting until someone he knew, trusted and valued help him make that decision after a year’s worth of scouting. So all in all it was a bad situation, which is largely moot considering Buffalo came away with arguably the #2 QB. As far as 2024, I think once Thomas was off the board they ranked the next group of WR’s similarly. So they knew they could trade down and come away with one in the group. I don’t think Beane should have given much thought KC taking Worthy.
  14. Sure but Edelman was a 7th round QB converted to WR. I also don’t think he’d have anywhere close to the same success he had in NE if it wasn’t for Brady. Also I never recall anyone putting Edelman among the top 10 WR’s…. Maybe not even Top 15. I think we can also talk about WR’s like Amendola and Hogan to a lesser extent who never put up big numbers but were most effective in NE. You get where I’m going… Much like Brady Josh doesn’t have a WR1 either. Instead he has a trio of versatile slot WR’s. Your point about Rice is fair - but his rookie season yardage is greater than the output than any current Bills WR. It might even be greater than the single output of any WR THIS season. Now what did PM and TB have that Josh also might have too? An elite TE as their primary option and a defense that balled in the post season. Is Kincaid that guy? We don’t know yet but he’s shown flashes and there’s a chance that the defense could be better than last season .
  15. I think you’d be hard pressed to call Julian Edelman a WR1 on most teams. Ditto for Rashee Rice Teams that won Super Bowl have had stronger WR’s than what Josh currently has…at least until point. The one exception might be Kansas City in 2023. They had a WR room that largely resembles what Buffalo currently has.
  16. Brady in 2015, 2017 and 2019 Mahomes in 2023 and 2024 Neither had a true WR1 like Josh
  17. I’m not saying I agree with it, but for the Bills to succeed Josh is going to have to get the most out of a group of wide receivers who have mostly been a WR3 in their previous stops and a polarizing prospect in Coleman. Josh will need to show that he can elevate this talent like great quarterbacks have done in the past.
  18. If Flores was as verbally abusive and toxic as Tua alleges, I’m pretty sure he should have apologized. Also he never directly admitted he was wrong. You could interpret this quote different ways including your interpretation which was that he admitted he was wrong without actually saying it. To me, it sounds like he’s trying to come as well as he can without admitting wrong doing. “Look, I’m human. So that hit me in a way that I wouldn’t say was positive for me,” Flores told reporters Tuesday. “At the same time, I’ve got to use that and say ‘Hey, how can I grow from that? How can I be better?’ “Do I feel like that’s me? No. But how can I grow from that situation and create a world where that’s not the case that anyone says about Brian Flores?” Again, it speaks to the strength of his statement though I’m not sure if it was genuine sentiment as much as it was smart PR. Also Brian Flores never crossed paths or worked with Bill Parcels.
  19. To McDaniels credit, I think he did an amazing job with Tua and that he’s getting the most out his QB. Of course, having Tyreek Hill and Jalen Waddle helps - but he designed an offense around Tua’s strength that hides what he doesn’t do well. I think as a head coach, MM will often get too much praise. But as a play caller, he’s very good
  20. If you read the whole Outkick article by former Dolphins beat reporter Armando Salguero, Flores wasn’t the only one who questioned Tua. Even his own owner tried moving on from the player he drafted 2 seasons earlier. https://www.outkick.com/sports/brian-flores-responds-tua-tagovailoa-calling-him-terrible-person So while I don’t dispute what Tua said about Flores brash communication style (which previously had been reported by Armando), he was far from the only one in Miami Gardens to question Tua. Also it makes you wonder whether the whole “Flores was toxic” thing is a false narrative orchestrated in hindsight. For example I remember after 2020, Flores ranked highly among players for most sought after head coaches. Rumors were that DeShaun Watson wanted to play for him. He seemed to be almost like Mike Tomlin - a gruff hardass coach that players respected. When he was fired, many in the media were outraged. Some (including Flores) claiming his firing was a result of discrimination. Again, I don’t think Tua is going to take shots at Flores just to make him look bad. I do wonder if his perspective and recollections are as extreme as he is depicting. It seems like a very well crafted response. There’s one thing that missing though - at no time did he apologize to Tua. That leads me to believe there is still bad blood and the positive things he said about him at the onset were performative
  21. The only answer is Josh Allen. I’m not saying it’s fair, but it’s true. Take a look at the WR roster. The Bills are clearly counting on Josh to elevate the talent rather than the other around.
  22. This is called a “pipe dream.”
  23. Everything I’ve read about Coleman is that he’s good in zone coverage but needs help with route running to consistent beat m2m. Still should be a red zone target even some are down on him after the drop
  24. The same members of the Bills week 1 OL started every game and also played nearly every snap together last season. I don’t think any other team has been this healthy. I’d love it if the solution was as simple as firing Ciano but there’s injuries on every NFL team. The Bills need the right players to step up
