  1. No, I mostly agree with you and I think it could be possible, but I’m not sure if it went down the way that it was originally presented Sunday when the story caught fire. As you can tell by the reporting, the story did change between the mother and father‘s account. And hypothetically, if you wanted to protect your daughter from a targeted attack, why wouldn’t you file a police report after? It doesn’t seem like the father was mad at the “shover” as much as he was at Bills security. The saddest part in all of this is that the little girl who battled cancer ended up having a bad time at an event she was exited to attend. I’d also argue that part of the problem was the location where she was sitting in. The group that she worked with should have put the family in a suite or in an area better suited for families. I would be surprised if the Bills don’t make this happen in the future. Sadly it probably won’t be against SF anytime soon, as I don’t think they are on the schedule next season.
  2. It’s so hard to tell because the father’s account in the news was different from the mother’s Facebook post on Sunday night which is what most people reported on. If they were targeted why didn’t they file a police report - especially when the incident involved yours 8 year-old child?
  3. As much as I’d love to believe this, I don’t put much stock in NFL Rumors accounts. They’ve been proven to be wrong over and over again. The people running those accounts either make up news or don’t go through the regular vetting process an NFL Insider does. With that being said, “soft” or not, Miami is stuck with McDaniel. He’s not even done with his original contract. So if Miami was to fire him they not only eat the final year of his original 2022 deal but also pay him the entire value of his 4-year extension which doesn’t even begin until after 2025. Almost the same situation as Dick Jauron in 2008. That happens when you jump the gun on a coach’s extension
  4. It is odd how Brown is the white knight in this situation. I’m surprised no sports anchors were like “uh, have you seen some of the things AB has posted over the past two years.”
  5. I know someone who brought their 10 and 8 year-olds to the game and warned them about language. They started counting the number of “swear words” and there we so many they lost track in the 20’s LOL. It sounds like the family got the tix from Hope Rises which is the nonprofit charity owned by Channel 4 reporter Kate Glaser. I too am surprised that they didn’t get them seats in the family section. Hopefully the charity knows what we all do - the 300 section of a prime time game is probably not an appropriate setting for a family.
  6. Where is dad posting this? The mom’s account made this seem that it was a targeted attack
  7. It sounds like it was an accident. I’m sure the parents are upset because this all could have been avoided.
  8. Here is the follow up story from Channel 4. The incident went down as many of us had speculated. A drunk fan tried shoving his way past a family of 49ers fans and in the process the little girl was shoved and slipped against a chair is the aisle. While the fan was rude and impatient and the situation could have (and should have) been avoided, it sounds like it was unintentional. Channel 4 should have presented this a little more accurately. But the girl and her dad seem very kind and after what they’ve gone through, they certainly deserve a nice experience at the stadium as well as every donation dollar that’s coming in. In the end it seems like some good will come out of this bad experience for them.
  9. There was something up because he wasn’t getting on the field much the past few weeks either. He actually had better production in Carolina that he did in Baltimore LOL
  10. His worst commentary came when he tried to explain talked effect snow in Buffalo. By the end he was like “they have all of these counties around here.” How is that any different than any other state in the US? Also the second Josh scored on that hook-and-ladder TD he brought up Kelce and Mahomes. He is the worst
  11. I would tend to think along these lines as well. It sounds like someone bumped into the kid and they fell down the stairs. Reading the original tweet makes you think she was purposely shoved. I don’t think that person makes it out of the stadium if that was the case.
  12. I remember a story Tim Graham did in the past about throwing snow ball at players. Apparently security has cameras all around the stadium and every thing is recorded. So if anything happened between the times when fans are in the stadium like snowballs or fighting, they are able to find the incident and the parties involved.
  13. I get that but honestly the tape doesn’t lie. He was a non-factor in Buffalo. Also, it should be noted that the Bills cut MVS to make room for Amari Cooper. Are you saying you want MVS over Cooper? I don’t think anyone can argue that Cooper is an improvement. There was one ball in Miami where MVS was open deep and Josh misfired. Other than that, he was a non factor
  14. No wonder why the staff were draining my oil into the Grey Cup
  15. You might have gotten frost bite. Did they have to take you to the lots on a golf cart? I’ve always thought that too. Other fans laugh at the Bills for offering such a pithy wage. the only good thing about this are the comments on social media when the team asks for shovelers. Lots of “a billionaire can only pay $20 an hour?”
  16. $20 is better than nothing but it still is a little cheap when we’re talking about a $4B organization. Many fans online are laughing at the idea of billionaire owners hiring random fans as day laborers for pithy wages. It makes the team look cheap. $25 PSL - personal shoveling license It never was about Lake Erie. It was all ablif about money. Terry didn’t want to spend all his money on a new stadium, so they drafted up a modest proposal for NYS
  17. I don’t think weather is everything but this group just don’t seem to like to play in cold weather. During the broadcast is was reported that the team shipped over 3,500 pounds of cold weather gear. Keep in mind we’re talking 27 degree weather which is cold, but it’s not like it was sub zero temps. The larger issue is that Miami struggles against stronger teams and some of these games have taken place in cold weather. But I also don’t think the weather narrative is nothing either.
  18. Between players like Kraft, Wicks, Doubs, Reed and Watson Green Bay has an assortment of solid weapons. Also I think Josh Jacobs is still really good. Love is the wildcard. If he plays like he did against Miami they will be a tough out for anyone. I think you are right about Miami’s offense. Everyone is raving about the passes to Achane and Jonnu Smith but I think teams would gladly give them receptions if it means the balls not going to Hill and Waddle. It also makes me wonder what’s going on with Hill. Is he starting to show some decline? Or is he just not getting ball in Miami’s newest version of offense?
  19. Yeah that 1-16 stat is incorrect. The real number is 3-14 - though the point still largely is the same. The three wins are Baltimore and Buffalo which took some pretty crazy circumstances to get the W and Dallas last season. If you watch Miami in pre-game footage the players look like they are freezing. I remember this last year in Kansas City and then again tonight. I don’t think the cold is the only reason they lost but this group of players seems to be bothered by it to some effect
  20. Tremaine Edmunds is still 22 years old!!!!
  21. He’s an interesting prospect because he has all the physical tools to make amazing plays and he shows flashes but also has too many boneheaded moments. Watch how many bad sacks he has taken this season. That’s to be expected from a rookie QB for sure, but it happens far too often. It seems to me like he’s poorly coached. If they get a better head coach in the building I think you’ll see Williams do big things next season
  22. When you have 3 QB’s…. You don’t have 1
  23. Hopefully this doesn’t change this season
  24. I’ve been very unimpressed with Houston. Defense has good players but collectively they can’t stop anyone. Also Stroud has taken a downturn and it seems like he really misses Diggs as a safety blanket. Remember last season how Bobby Slowik almost became a head coach? I don’t think that happens next season
