Bills are 8-2 for the first time in over 30 years

Fire McDermott though…am I doing this right? -
No, they don’t want to start him only to have Micah Hyde take his spot later this season when he returns.
-
Seems like the plan was always to get out of Von’s deal after year 3 unless he completely balled out. I can see Solomon get more reps next season but ultimately think they find a new starter either in FA or the draft

Everyone knows this… the problem seems to be mental rather than physical and many are hoping this moment is a confidence booster. We’ll have to wait and see this week

When the trade rumors about Mike Edwards came to light I was certain it would happen. But if Hyde’s not signed before the bye, I don’t think he returns - barring some kind of injury of course. The way the Bills spoke him and the fact that Hyde has yet to officially retire made me think this would happen. Of course, maybe he returns to a team in an “Eric Weddle” role this season

He can be our gadget guy. He’s a twitchy and fast player that might be good for a few reverses or screen plays.

it’s not Jackson or Cine
-
So there is a roster spot available. Normally I’d think Ankou would get elevated and given a roster spot but they already signed Phillips and Jefferson It’s not Jackson. He’s never been activated once

The Bills social media team is pretty clever with this stuff.

Drake Maye is looking pretty good for what he has around him. I’m certain that NE drafts an LT or WR to help him out. Mayo is still a question mark at HC but will be back. The Jets are about to begin a brand new regime at HC/GM - fans are begging for Ben Johnson but I think that’s a long shot. I can’t see them going 7-1 down the stretch. Also the question is whether Rodgers will return for another season. I wouldn’t be shocked if he’s back but if they finish high enough I can see them drafting a QB in R1. The Dolphins probably are going to be forced to run it back in 2025 based on contracts. They gave big money to Tua, Hill, Waddle etc and probably can’t move them. Since they invested in Tua, McDaniel who just signed an extension will likely return in 2025. Based on these projections, if Maye makes a second year jump, it’s definitely possible for NE to be the biggest threat next season.

This thing is so worthless. Remember last season when the Bills had a fraction of a chance to make the playoffs and the WGR guys were using the NYT playoff machine as though it were concrete evidence they were finished. I learned to ignored these simulations as there isn’t much validity until the very end of the season

Kansas City/Tampa Bay on Monday Night Football

Of course but you never see a coach smiling like that on the sideline. It’s unusual. He’s smiling all the time even when something bad happens to his team -

That facemask call is such BS. Officiating is at an all time low -

Cover 1- Why And How Miami Gashed The Bills In The Run Game
JohnNord replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall
Mark Gaughn of the Buffalo News said something similar. He thinks the Bills played a vanilla defense designed to protect against the big play. -
It sounds like the D-line was struggling especially when they had Eli Ankou lined up next to Austin Johnson due to the Smoot injury. At one point it looked like they tried to pair a starter with a backup and that didn’t work so well either. Other interesting I heard from Joe B is that since Avon’s suspension the Bills have been lining Rousseau up at LDE which he played in college and he has been doing much better. He started the game at LDE and had the only sack for Buffalo. But when Von came in, Rosseau switched back to RDE a position where he’s not as strong in. Meanwhile Von didn’t do much at LDE. It sounds like the better idea is to put Rosseau at LDE full-time.

It was right there in his hands. I’d like to think that Keon makes the catch if Poyer doesn’t blast him but it looked like a drop before contact.

I think that this draft highlights the strengths of the drafts under Brandon Beane’s squad. They were able to draft really well in the mid-to-late rounds with Bernard, Shakir, and Benford as high quality starters. Cook also was a hit for a late 2nd round selection. I disagree a bit on Elam. I’m not sure he’d be a starter on other teams but it’s hard to tell since he’s only played sporadically. Also if a draft pick becomes a star under a different regime, I don’t think you can give the GM who drafted them credit for the pick.

Seems like it’s always a crazy one too

I don’t think this is anything. This Banged up Bills dude does a good job but he’s always looking for the smallest sign of a potential injury. His catchphrase should be “something to monitor.” The interesting this is that on Josh’s final pass his inaccuracy was probably the reason why they won. Josh’s long pass to Kincaid was thrown low and short, so much that Kincaid had to make an unsuccessful sliding attempt with 0:12 on the clock. Had he caught the football I’m unsure if there would be enough time to run down and spike the football for a short FG.

Of course, but if the gap integrity was better they wouldn’t have as much success. I think a lot of that has to do, again, with poor execution. I didn’t have a problem with their game plan today only because a long pass to Waddle or Hill could break the game open - especially when you consider the limitations of Elam, Williams, and Damar.
