  1. I see what you are saying and it makes sense but I’m not writing off LJ anytime yet only because the Baltimore offense is built around what he does well and because their defense (at least this year) is one of the best in the NFL. Roman is trying to run the same ball control, big play offense that he installed in San Francisco and Buffalo. The only difference is that Jackson is a significantly better runner than Kaep or Tyrod. Whoever said that Baltimore is not built to play from behind is exactly correct. When Lamar is down the entire offense seems to press really hard and ends up making some mistakes. It happened against Tennessee in the playoffs and it happened last night But given what LJ and the Ravens can do on the ground and given their defense, I think Baltimore will always be a tough out
  2. This really sucks. I’m glad the Bills didn’t play these teams over the past 2 weeks but it just takes 1 positive to affect so many players/teams
  3. I know what you mean. They were never going to shut out the Rams and they were out scored only 14-7. But I think the amount of time the defense was on the field, started to wear on the defense in the 4th when they were out scored 15-7. That phantom INT was a pretty pivotal point in the game. Just like with the Houston game, one more stop or 1 less turnover could have resulted in a completely outcome.
  4. I’m not seeing any evidence statistically or otherwise that he’s fallen off. In fact Hyde and Poyer are probably the strength of the Bills defense. Has he dropped off a little? Maybe but I don’t think it’s a concern. You should be concerned for the Bills D-line and LB’s
  5. They no doubt are going to try. Also you’ll see them try to confuse the Bills Lb’s pre-snap, use play action and then throw the ball in the middle of the field to James White and Edleman
  6. On paper this makes sense. But given his last run with the Bills, he doesn’t seem like someone they’d want to give a 2nd chance to. Also, there has to be a reason why Marcel is still a free agent and why teams have not taken a look at him. Ive heard people on Twitter clamor for Snacks Harrison. I’d be ok with that signing
  7. This call was worse
  8. Maybe they weren’t perfect. But from watching live it seemed like Edmunds was really bad on the field.
  9. Mike seems to be wrong almost every time. I won’t say no pass rush. Goff wasn’t really throwing the ball deep. His route were all short completions that turned into big gains.
  10. I think given the situation, it’s a pass that didn’t need to be thrown
  11. If McDermott and Frazier could clean up the mess with the 2017 defense, they can get this ship steered in the right direction
  12. he always was better than what some fans gave him credit for...but he also didn’t make any difference at times either. The Philadelphia game was a great example of a team that ran all over the Bills when he was in the game. I think it’s flawed to think his absences would’ve resulted in a significantly different result today Wallace wasn’t the problem today and Milano defended Higbee today. Take a look at his stat line. It comes down to Edmunds. He didn’t play well
  13. It was the LB’s and slot corners How much can you blame the coaches for players not tackling? When you watch the Woods TD, Edmunds should’ve been in perfect position to make a 3 yard stop. Instead he over pursued a d got burnt.
  14. If you sign Harrison, who do you drop from the team? Do you give up on Harrison Phillips or eat the dead cap by releasing Vernon Butler?
  15. It goes back further than McDermott
  16. I’ve tried pointing this out on Bills Twitter and was given this response “he’s only 21 years old!” How long can you use this excuse. I’m also not going to give any credence into the shoulder injury. He missed 2 weeks, not 10 weeks. He shouldn’t be that rusty. Bottom line, he just wasn’t very Sunday and you can argue he was the worst player on the defense. To be honest, the Bills have a HUGE decision coming up on whether to pick up his option. Remember the Bills want to sign Allen and Milano to long term deals. Are they going to want to pay top dollar for an MLB who performs the way he did today? I do think there’s a decent chance the Bills keep Milano and let Edmunds walk. Part of the reason they couldn’t get to Goff was because the middle of the field was so wide open and he always had receivers open. I wonder why....
  17. The Bills won the game because of Allen. There were a few times when he held onto the ball for too long but then again, his line wasn’t blocked Aaron Donald very well. I will probably say A
  18. Bellweather? What?
  19. This really doesn’t mean anything after 2 weeks just like PFF’s Chart that said the Bills played the easiest schedule...:after 2 weeks!
  20. I wouldn’t say he sucks.... I’ll say he’s probably not a starting TE, but he would be fine as a TE2. The problem with Kroft is that he’s always hurt, so he becomes kind of tough to evaluate
  21. Joe B doesn’t think so:
  22. Who really cares about EA Sports ratings. I remember years ago (2006 maybe?), it ranked JP Losman at 75 and he was much worse
  23. The Jets just look really terrible on both sides of the ball. They’ll probably struggle to win in conference and play the NFC West. I can see them winning 2 or 3 games to finish with the #1 and probably trade Darnold for a second round pick. The others that you talked about...Jacksonville looks like a team that will win 5 or 6 games. There is something special about Minshew. Minnesota might not do much better but they have a lot of talent and are probably closer to at least 7 or 8 in a bad season. Cincy will struggle to win and could challenge for the pick but I think Burrow will be good enough to win them more than NYJ
  24. John Clayton loves to reference this take from former Bills OC Ted Marchibroda: “Longtime NFL coach Ted Marchibroda always preached that a good backup quarterback can win a team three games, but if you play him six games, he can lose a team the next three.” This is Fitzpatrick in a nutshell. But it’s more like he’ll win you 3 games and lose you 4 or 5! There are times when the guy is just unstoppable but also times where he looks terrible. I really have never seen a player with such Jeckyl and Hyde tendencies. The final game of the 2015 is a great example. Jets were primed for a playoff appearance after a big win versus New England and he shat the bed. Then during the 2nd game of the 2016 season Fitzpatrick was absolutely lights out versus the Bills in the first color rush game. Rex’s defense had no answers for Fitz as he easily completed pass after pass to Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker it was an embarrassing display of defense. Fitzpatrick is an anomaly at the QB position. I so wish the Bills had signed him before the start of last season to backup Josh. It seems like those two would get a long great.
  25. I think it’s a given they pick up his option. Based on his improvement throughout 2019 and the encouraging signs for the first 2 week, he has earned that. If all goes well, I would bet that the Bills will set him up with a long term contract sometime next season. I honestly believe that the Bills are going to be 100% sure before they commit because as several have pointed out - it’s a huge hit to your cap. Best case scenario - I would be willing to bet the Bills will follow a model like the Chiefs did with Mahomes. If all goes well this season the Bills will look to extend Allen before the start of year 4. Obviously this changes if the Bills struggle this season
