  1. Exactly... I’m not suggesting trying to make this a low scoring affair. What I’m saying is that the Bills offense needs to try to control time of possession and efficient in the redzone. More time for the Bills offense means less Seattle possessions. On defense they need to get Seattle off the field at least a few times. If the offense limits possessions but the defense allows a TD every time they have the ball, it’s not going to matter.
  2. Paywall.... can’t read Fad Brown has no clue what he’s talking about
  3. I’m telling you... The Bills need to establish the run and take short throws to sustain long drives. Take some serious time off the clock. You can’t really stop Seattle’s offense but you if you can move the ball, you can limit possessions and keep them off the field. If you can get a few stops on a few of those possessions you can win. The Bills will need to score points and won’t be able to win 24-21. But I feel they can limit scoring opportunities
  4. Doesn’t look like many trades are happening now. There’s a definite possibility the Bills stand pt with what they have. Not a good sign at 1TDT.
  5. To be honest, he does some really impressive things with his arm and legs but he’s more inconsistent than Josh Allen on his worst day. The turnovers are brutal too. I think he was a reach by a desperate GM but I don’t think he’s that bad and that he has a chance to improve. He’s also done a fairly decent job elevating the receivers on the roster
  6. This and the fact that there’s not a better healthy replacement on the roster. Andre Smith wasn’t very good either and Tyler Matekevich probably is worse. Maybe Darron Lee can at least provide some help with coverage, but it might take a few weeks. Fingers crossed...if all goes well after the bye, the LB room should looks like this: starters: - Edmunds - Milano - Dodson depth: Klein Lee Phillips
  7. It’s simple. From the national perspective, I think getting beaten badly by Tennessee and KC created a negative impression, as did narrow wins versus NYJ and KC. I think the Bills are viewed as a good team but not one that’s taken seriously. A team like Baltimore who has a worse record and has yet to defeat a top team, is viewed as a more legit contender because of last season and a larger margin of victory versus opponents. The Bills have a chance to change all that over the next few weeks
  8. The Iron Sheik’s Twitter is run by his managers the Magen brothers who live near Toronto. Like many of our neighbors to the north, it’s no surprise that the Magens are Bills fans, eh?
  9. Joe B and Fairburn said the same thing. The flags on the goal posts were blowing but down on field level it wasn’t too windy. The rain seems to stop in the first half too. Belichick emulated what other defenses have done the past 4 weeks - disguised looks, dropped 6 players, and had 2 players deep. I think the difference was that the Bills ran it better than they would have liked
  10. To this topic, it should be noted that since Week 4 Allen has attempted 46 passes of 20 yards or more and has completed just 18 passes with 4 INT. It’s among the worst in the league. So as much as people want to hang this on the coaches, I think you have to appropriately place blame. It seems that Allen and the rest of the offense is struggling now to throw with 6 or 7 players in coverage. My hope is that Allen learns how to do it. I think taking the short passes when necessary and the running game will definitely help. But the reason for the failure to push the ball downfield is largely attributed to Allen IMO
  11. Read up on Oliver’s NextGen stats. He’s playing very well and winning matchups.
  12. At least a month to heal? What are you basing this on?
  13. Ha! That’s not going to happen
  14. Jamal was getting burned by Edleman badly when he was healthy. He was a damn good blitzer though
  15. You beat the Cover 2 soft zone with passes to the seam, out patterns or in the Cover 2 beater zone downfield in between the CB and Safety. At some point, the safety is going to have to creep down to defend the run. When that happens the Bills should see mismatches on the outside again
  16. To put things in perspective, Miami gained 145 yards of TOTAL offense and still won by 2 scores. Rams gained over 400 yards of offense but couldn’t get in the endzone enough. We know from the Bills 2004 season that wins that includes defensive or special teams touchdowns are not sustainable.
  17. I thought Lamar was going to sh*t the bed on the last drive. He did a solid job of leading them down the field but just ran out of time. I think he’s still a top QB in this league
  18. No doubt an advantage for NE. One thing that will help is a limited passing attack. Everyone knows NE will be running and the Bills should be prepared to stop it.
  19. This take is maybe a bit premature but it’s no inconceivable. Compared to other Bills coaches McDermott has been extremely successful and has done more less
  20. He just didn’t put his house on the market, he set a deadline for Tuesday at 5 which is the trade deadline. So he’s gone but the only question is when will he be gone? If Belichick thought this team had a reasonable chance to complete there’s little doubt that they even entertain talks to trade Gilmore
  21. Yes I would say so. At least the fans who are most vocal on social media. Bills fans are more extremists than anything and somewhat out of touch with reality. They think of think is absolutes so when the team is playing well they are Super Bowl bound and when they are struggling it’s a given they’ll lose out the rest of the season. They also are very big on scapegoating. Offense. Defense. QB. Coach. Offensive Coordinator. It’s always one person or one unit’s fault and never a combination of different factors. Of course, some members are untouchable like Josh Allen or McDermott to a lesser extent. I think the drought did some major damage on the fanbase.
  22. It sounds like the perfect acquisition on paper but then again, Dallas has one of the worst defenses in the league and they are releasing these players. So there has to be a reason why
  23. Joe Douglas supposedly knows what he’s doing. You have to think he brings in a decent HC. Once they happens NYJ might be a better franchise. So much of the issue is Adam Gase
  24. Funny because other analysts who also watch each play are saying that Edmunds is struggling to correctly diagnose plays. He either will be fooled by play action or will incorrectly shoot a gap. This was the case in the game last week. The Bills run defense has been terrible and a big part of the blame falls on Edmunds...you can’t deny that
