  1. Yeah that’s old news from last week The direct quote if I recall correctly was “Whaley is a front runner”
  2. I thought Pittsburgh was hiring Doug Whaley according to some here
  3. I don’t think so… even if the this season goes sideways he’s done enough to earn another season. You don’t move on from McDermott unless things go catastrophically bad
  4. Will he keep the hair plugs if he returns to football. It could be a reverse Sampson
  5. Meh… He’s ok. I think this is a bigger signing on paper than it will be on the field.
  6. LOL I think he’s just BS’ing here but PFF grades are completely arbitrary. That’s the problem with “grades.” In theory a player could definitely pay off one of the final PFF graders to inflate his numbers and we would never know. I’m thinking that PFF wouldn’t jeopardize the relationships they have with teams by taking bribes but you never know
  7. I completely disagree - it was a bad move. By your logic, you can justify just about any highly drafted player as a good selection. This was a home run swing by a GM desperate to make a splash for a new owner. The trade was EJ was panned by just about every analyst and former GM. Everyone said the same thing which turned out to be 100% correct - “you don’t make that kind of move unless you’re certain you have a QB.” I remember Bills fans had hoped the trade would be like Atlanta trading up for Julio Jones…the difference is EJ was not Matt Ryan. Selecting Sammy and doubling down on EJ were terrible moves that set the franchise back. Even Jim Monos admitted this
  8. Yeah I saw this. The person that posted this probably doesn’t follow the team too closely. Not the best throw to change perceptions of Tua. The funny part is reading Dolphins fans try to explain why it wasn’t underthrown
  9. You must be pretty young then. I remember this video kind of went “viral.” It was kind of absurd even for the 1990’s and was picked up by outlets like Sportscenter etc
  10. I agree, it might be early and sometimes takes 2-3 seasons for a DE. But his point makes sense. The Bills had to sign Miller to a big deal because the draft capital they invested at DE has not panned out. I also wouldn’t call Epinesa and Basham “projects” at DE. Both were considered to be pro ready coming out of the draft, which is why it could be a call for concern that both struggled to get on the field early in their careers
  11. Yeah I think “angry” was the wrong word. They probably tried to trade up to get him and missed out. It’s more “disappointed” than angry
  12. But the point still stands that the returns from these players hasn’t been great so. I do think you can call into question the ability of Beane, McDermott, and staff to draft and develop defensive ends. They’ve taken a few swings and nothing really has materialized
  13. I don’t get why people were so angry. He was drafted in Round 5…there were multiple attempts to draft him
  14. I wouldn’t mind it either but they aren’t getting rid of Basham yet. He could very well be better than Lawson. But if you’re Hughes are you going to go back to Buffalo on a fraction of what you made before to “compete” for your old job? Under-appreciated? Maybe. He seemingly was a great mentor to our young defensive ends. underrated? I don’t think so. He was a serviceable defensive end, but I’m not sure if the Bills got the best return on his contract from on-field standpoint
  15. I love to see Kromer try the techniques on Joe LOL Interestingly enough, he talks a lot about Kromer wanting specific types of players on the OL. It does make you wonder what he can do with Cody Ford.
  16. That’s a possibility…there’s a potential out in his contract after 2023
  17. I’m telling you, it isn’t a given that Araizia replaces Haack based on what Beane said. Remember the Bills had a punter with a pretty strong leg in Bojorquez. They replaced him with Haack, knowing that he wasn’t as powerful as a punter, but that was an excellent directional punter and holder. If that’s what they value, than I think Bass has an inside track on the position. Araizia is going to have to impress in those areas to win the job. I guess I could see a scenario where Moss is traded, though my guess is he will assume the TJ Yeldon inactive RB3 role. Im not a fan of Epinesa, but I think his job is safe considering the Bills brought back a veteran like Shaq to push him. He’ll have to have a terrible a TC to get released/traded. The WR room could get interesting. The only players I’m certain of will be Diggs, Davis, and Shakir. I don’t anticipate Crowder or McKenzie get cut but Shakir has similar attributes, so you never know. I think the last spot will be interesting with Kumerow/Hodgins/Stevenson
  18. Yeah I heard that. It was almost as though he was trying to talk him up. That’s why my takeaway was that the punting job was his to lose. If Arazia is going to be another Bojo, they’d rather have Haack
  19. He really isn’t… Bills fans don’t want to hear this but it’s going to take a strong TC for Araizia to unseat Haack
  20. I read this too. The more I learn about Araizia, the less I think he makes this team. Fans don’t like Haack, but I really think Buffalo would be confident with him as punter - knowing that he helps to kicking game. Beane even called him an “elite” holder and that he was coming off a bad season. I think he gets ever chance to make the team
  21. I meant I had no personal knowledge before the pick. From what I’ve read he’s a smaller player who lacks size and physicality. It sounds like his best position in the defense is where Milano plays and he would not be a replacement should Edmunds walk. Most analysts had him in the 4th or 5th round and his comps were not that great - depth LB and Special Teamer. I just feel for the Bills could have gotten better value in Round 3 based on players who were on the board. Again just my quick reaction. I am sure the Bills have a plan for how they want to use him. But at first blush, this isn’t a pick I would have made in Round 3
  22. A little from column A….a little from column B
  23. I have not idea who this player is but I did not like this pick and hated all of the 6th round draft picks
  24. What’s the issue with Becton? I know he had kind of an up and down rookie season and that he was injured last season.
  25. That should never be lived down. He made this statement 14 weeks into Allen’s second year too. It was ridiculous then and looks worse now
