Tua Tagovailoa - Future of Miami?
QLBillsFan replied to BillsM@fia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Unfortunately your RB who has been great was put on IR. Too bad you traded away Drake as he may have provided a great tandem. He seems to be doing pretty well with Arizona. Again I’ll try to give fair balance on the Bills good or bad. Dolphins have made some good moves but that’s one they might want back. -

All that suggests that you have selected the right QB in Tua. That’s currently a big if. When Herbert was imho the better choice. Texans will likely have pick 4-7 so could be some leverage. Jury is out on FA decisions as D Williams has been a find while Klein not so much. Your leaving out the best trade in the NFL getting Diggs so let’s not omit that. Happy to discuss your Dolphins vs Bills but let’s agree to provide fair balance in our conversations. -
Tua Tagovailoa - Future of Miami?

Not judging him on one game at all. I just would have kept Fitz as the starter and felt that Herbert will be a better pro. He may go off against the Cards and they may win 10 games. I just happen to think it was not a good decision for the Dolphins this year. CG is no fool so I’m sure his input was big. I’ll admit to being wrong at week 16 if it plays out as you say. -

No way HIQ on Dolphins 🐬 thread! The franchise is up and coming. I think I would pump the brakes on the data and how it’s clear they will win 10 games this year. Flores just stated this week that this is not an audition for Tua. It suggests this year that they feel he gives them a better chance to win now! Fitz was playing well and I think it’s a big risk. Incredible confidence and pressure on him to perform. As I’ve said let’s have this discussion around week 16. I will say now it’s a mistake. Just like picking Tua over Herbert. -
Not debating those facts. But the assumption JA is forcing to Diggs. And do we have D snap count vs previous opponents? If I missed that my bad. I also was just reiterating what Kubiak said about JA’s play. I have a hard time saying that Pats game was JA best performance, but it appears he is seeing the D and switching to run in a better way. I think we all agree we need to see a better overall performance from the O and it starts with JA.
-
The expert evaluation from Kubiak on JA’s play against the Pats is that he had an outstanding game. So he wasn’t forcing to Diggs vs Pats. The int Diggs was fairly open but miscommunication. To prove your point on JA forcing we need to see snap count of opposing D as we saw for Pats game.

Ok This Dolphins talk is getting out of hand.

Imagine if they had drafted Herbert. Without a doubt he is showing QB franchise potential already. Not cast in stone yet but seems that Tua has some catching up to do. I think that they picked the wrong guy. Time will tell. -
I think the Jets beat the Dolphins 🐬 for their 1 victory. Primarily so High IQ can explain how the data from that loss propels them to the division crown.

Bills had top 5 scoring D last year. I would rather have a more explosive QB like JA this year. QB’s and O win in playoffs. Tua is better than Jets QB In remaining 9 games. Maybe Pats, but big game pressure is going to continue to ramp up. Dolphins went all in with Tua to evaluate vs going for it all with Fitz. Absolutely a team on the rise, but it’s a 16 game season with ebbs and flows. I like Bills chances and realistically think Dolphins will compete for 7th spot. -
Wow HIQ Dolphins fan your hate for the Bills is at such a high level. They have familiarity and at times they have gotten end of roster or rotation players to contribute. STAR and Marlowe come to mind. If given player A and B with similar skill sets knowing a player can be the deciding factor. Have they missed absolutely. But it’s what many teams do. Even the division winner to be Dolphins do it.

So the Bills have played great then so so for a few weeks. You imply that the last three weeks of play by the Dolphins is going to continue. No doubt no question. And the Bills meanwhile will continue to play poorly. It’s a long season. The phins have had a nice run. They are playing a tough game at AZ with a rookie QB. It’s as if they are going to sustain this level of play and get all the turnovers. While the Bills who now it appears will have the benefit of two good weather games and a bye are simply not capable of improving. Let’s discuss in four weeks. I’m thinking by your assessment the Dolphins will be in first place by then. -
Uneven but certainly has the tools. A couple poor decisions cost them the game. Giants played a pretty good game last night. He’s young and has to eliminate hero ball (sound familiar). I still think he can be good. The media are so quick to give up on some of these young QB’s. I have seen more promise from Jones than Darnold.

It comes down to a storyline and right now JA has chilled a bit. But right back in the spotlight with games against Wilson ( the first half MVP) and the a bit overhyped but electric K Murray will give the Bills an opportunity. If they excel the spotlight will shine bright. Two losses will bring in the pretenders discussion. Two wins it’s all about the Bills. Just how the media cycle goes. I really feel the pressure to beat the Pats is unreal and I expect the next two games to see an improvement from the Bills. They will need it!

Weather impacts not only drops but the numbers on JA. If you have perfect weather or a dome it impacts the stats. Jim Kelly also had his numbers impacted in a similar way. Davis did drop a key catchable ball, but I also recall he also made a heck of a TD catch earlier in year. It happens and weather doesn’t help. Davis is a better option than Duke in route running and the ability to get open. In 4 wide set it gives the Bills great options with match ups. I like Duke and his story is great but Davis has earned the time. Davis will make a huge impact in the second half of the year.

We have 3 common opponents and we play each other. Bills have a bye and 4 away games. Phins have Jets and Bengals and 5 away games. I would say they have a somewhat easier schedule. However , they have 3 game home stand where Bengals, Chiefs, and Pats come to town. Then they close with LV and Bills away. A bit easier yes, but much easier is a stretch. I am confident they will be in the mix but it also won’t be easy!

It’s fun when you try to compare who beat who HS. Cards beat Hawks. Hawks handled 49ers who blew out the Pats. Who beat Dolphins. So therefore Dolphins have no chance against Cards. See how silly it gets. Individual games and match ups is the NFL. Week to week. Let’s see if we upset the Hawks.
-
Agree with all should be fun to watch. I’m not sure that we all realize the pressure on the entire franchise to beat the Pats today. The stress should be off and we should play with confidence having less pressure. They have issues on D if we can balance with run and pass we should be in it and have a chance. Wilson is great and Metcalf is unreal. 61 decisions were made in the NFL not to choose him. Including us hoody etc.. They are constantly involved in shoot outs and that can make you vulnerable. I certainly will be less miserable this week ! High scoring toss up and likely 3-4 pt spread not the ridiculousness of 8 pt spread per HS. Not funny anymore go admire your Tua poster and call it a day!

Wow your impressive! Trolling from thread to thread. Did you happen to see the Chargers blow that lead to the Broncos. I see Bills going 10-6. I want to see you post about your Dolphins 11-5 record. And also how the 2nd game with Bills won’t matter because your fins will have clinched. It’s a very long season. Bills have things to shore up. But I think your a bit over the top on your team. 5 road games remaining you may struggle with some of the weather issues that has impacted the Bills. Good luck with your predictions please check back at year end.

Miami is not winning the division
QLBillsFan replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
After 7 games 4-3, a “ Bills fan” claims the Dolphins are by far the 3rd best team in the AFC! Sporting a 3 game win streak and without a doubt they are going to only lose 2 more games. They then will finish 11-5 and the 2nd game with the Bills will be irrelevant because the Dolphins will have clinched the division by then. Ok let’s check back when all that happens. -
Week 7 MNF: Bears at Rams, 8:20 EDT
QLBillsFan replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just turned game on. Saw LT Wentworth will left foot opened on 3rd down. No flag. But refs called it on Williams on Davis TD. Just want consistency! -
The Bills up to this game have lights out in the red zone. Sure they didn’t get it done this game but on the season they have been unreal in RZ execution. The illegal formation was on our RT Williams lining up with his right foot back for pass protection. It’s a ticky tack call that was also called on Jets later in game. I’m fine if they call it that way, but many times they don’t. It’s inconsistent. The Bills issue right now is lack of running game to take pressure off JA. So to evaluate his game as D is amusing. I’m not making excuses so I say a solid B. No evidence to support a D. You can’t be taken seriously with this post.

Lack of RB Production is limiting this Team
QLBillsFan replied to Lieutenant Aldo Raine's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It will be interesting to see what the plan is vs Fins. Pats ran Cam and RB’s effectively. Fins not stoping it makes us think Bills will do the same. So more RPO likely. While I agree with those who are concerned about 17’s exposure. However as Diggs shared Josh feeds off the excitement and adrenaline rush. Or do we keep letting Josh throw to set up the run? Good problem to have for Bills. Fins gave Pats a better until late in game so I expect a tough one. Flores is simply better than Gase. -

How far were the 28 TD runs for the Ravens? A team know for strong O line play. A team that has blown opponents away with a balanced O. Who are their fast RB’s? With respect to hand off timing the Bills ran option so that’s how it works. Based on last years performance Singletary is a solid RB with an over 5 yard per carry average. Let’s discuss Bills woeful running game after 8 games. I’m guessing you won’t be talking about it. It’s an Allen led O ! Nobody in GB is worried about their RB play. The Bills will run when it’s the best option. Each game is its own entity. Let it play out. Just my thoughts.
