Ken Dorsey - would he choose OC here or leave to be Daboll's OC?
QLBillsFan replied to Heavy Kevi's topic in The Stadium Wall
From what I have heard DP took the fall for the disfunction of the Eagles front office. He could have handled it better certainly, but he’s a knowledgeable offensive mind with a decent amount of success. I think he could do a great deal with a talent like JA. Think he’s a potential candidate for the Jags if the Leftwich deal goes sour. He’s asking for GM to fired and bringing his own guy in. If not he’s not taking the gig. -

That would very cool. But JP lives in the Dana Point area of CA. Just north of SD. He’s created himself a swell business as a QB guru. Combine climate and the insane workload of NFL coaching I don’t see it happening. But if it did I would also be pumped. -

Or he could stay and have a good shot at winning a SB with JA. Having been his coach all through his vast improvement. So that’s the upside. But can see both perspectives for sure. -

And him actually stating that he likes him. As does his GM so that’s evidence. But your saying he’s saying it to get a job. During interviews he could actually say.. hey I don’t like your QB. They could easily draft one in the top 10 or even early in the 2nd(Carson Strong) for example. Or go into the QB market with the 2 top 10 picks they have. Why would he want to commit to a QB who will essentially determine his success as HC if he doesn’t believe it. Rather he would say that’s not my guy. I propose options A, B, or C. They are going to give him some time since he came in with JS at same time. Just my thoughts 💭 -
Yes seems like it’s hit or miss .. if it’s zero it’s delay
-
Dang today was painful.. KC finds a way to blow a huge lead and let a lesser team win. Rams try to let niners have it but niners just too inept.. meanwhile because our coaching staff can’t communicate properly JA hottest player in league watching SB
-
Holy yes .. no other way to play it. Huge mistake

About 4th time Rams got away with that. If it’s zero call it !

Eyes is a reference that he has to be accounted for. For example passing stats undervalue JA. Significant weather and wind will always do so with his passing stats. That’s my point for Knox vs Schultz. Not a scout but yes watching the tape and not just combine numbers undervalue Schultz. But in game situations he’s good at what he does but clearly not as explosive as Knox.

The guy runs a 4.8 so he’s slow. Again. you chose to fall back only on stats. Others actually watch the guys play. Your the metrics guy. Simple is your inability that others may not follow your metrics as facts. I will take a combination of the data and watching the game and impact a player has. I don’t need your 100% metrics to establish an opinion. Again I’m answering the ? in the thread. Simple..

Wow as previously stated it’s not all about the stats. I could care less. What part are you missing ? You mentioned te’s who are in the next group after the elite 4 or 5. He’s clearly in the next group.. ie top 10. Watch Schultz play who I like and runs and 4.8… then watch Knox. With a high TD total. If you don’t like him that’s fine. Any other objective fan be they Bills or other would slot him in the top 10.
-
Waller is in elite group Gki maybe Schultz solid but limited explosive plays, Fant potential but bit disappointing so far.. Ertz good but on back end.. so again firmly in top ten. My answer was to the original poster ? And I’ve answered that as stated. He’s exactly what Bills have lacked for many years and is viewed as up and coming current top 10 TE. Fmuth is not as good as Knox and it’s not close

Fighting the urge to never trust his current HC to actually use good game management. It likely cost him explosive national attention on par with PM, Rogers, and Brady. And that probably leads to major endorsement opportunities. Keep working with JP and get some sun and rest.

Sullivan: Bills' McDermott choked away Super Bowl-caliber season
QLBillsFan replied to QCity's topic in The Stadium Wall
Could be true. Watched the final 13 seconds again. It’s true prevent D against a TD. As if giving up a FG was ok. The two S’s were so incredibly far away it’s unreal. Not bumping and doubling Hill and Kelce is unconscionable. I don’t know how anyone can actually defend this strategy. Over 15 years 62 teams with 20 seconds or less in this situation have never lost. Until Sunday… that is all -
Great teammate and great young man! However, it does not diminish the unconscionable game decisions that lost Bills this game. The players deserved better. Some of these guys will never have such an opening as this year. Host AFC championship vs underdogs who have no idea the home field as Highmark would have presented. No super NFC team although Rams seem to be the team. Would have given Bills 55-60 % chance of winning SB.

Nailed it. It’s was strategy issue. If Bills are ok with kicking out of end zone (I don’t agree) then D strategy was flawed. Playing as if they were preventing a TD. Not bumping two best receivers at line or even holding if they elude. Even more egregious because it is Hill and Kelce !! It’s not overreaction to say final say goes to McDermy. So disappointed as his game decisions had improved on the O side. Multiple D time outs in critical situations had up to this point worked. Just incredible to have been so passive given the talent on KC.
