Shady makes some good points but why? What is the end game? 2/3 of people will support Jim. Shady is constantly talking stuff about someone. Shady might want to look in the mirror. In particular his personal life has some drama. Entitled to his opinion. With your opinion you’re gonna get a response. Really don’t much care. Kelly is not untouchable.

GOAT debate related to era Montana vs Brady
QLBillsFan replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Brady by a wide margin. Can’t stand anything about the guy. Leaves Pats they implode. Steve Young follows Montana and SB’s. Brady wins in TB. Montana can’t overcome the Marv’s. That is all and I hate to admit it. Brady ughhh… -
Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract
QLBillsFan replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Right we would all take it. But he’s lost $30 vs Josh. June of 21 the Ravens were trying to get him signed and were talking with his mother. Two months later Josh signed his deal. And the Ravens have been trying ever since. -
Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract

What does that have to do with Lamar? They are separate entities. Lamar despite being offered various over market contracts refuses to sign. He has zero financial security at a critical time in his career. Many players have played on franchise tags and won while others have not. I don’t think any of these players have so illogically played there hand like Lamar has. You have stated that he isn’t as good as Josh and I am 100% certain the league agrees. And yet the awful Ravens have offered him contracts for more than Josh’s. I can’t continue this debate. Lamar has made egregious errors that have cost him $ millions. Let’s pick this chat up in February. -
Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract

Totally not true. The Ravens are one of the most respected franchises in the NFL and have made him multiple offers. If he had an agent he would already be signed to a similar deal Josh has. Everyone on this thread has presented these facts and you refuse to accept it. The NFL has just demonstrated he’s not worth the value he thinks he has. He can sign the tag for $32 and hope he has a great year and doesn’t get hurt. Contrast that will what Josh has earned and peace of mind he has. This is about 90% on Lamar. -

The contract Josh was offered has everything to do with him. People have documented multiple times on this thread that Lamar has been offered per the GM of the Ravens multiple contract offers early in his career. This was when his leverage and non health issues would have been at peak. These are facts. Lamar has repeatedly hurt his leverage and value and will never ever recoup those $. As it stands he has one year at $32m then he has nothing. -

What would possess them to lowball Lamar. All information suggests they have made him multiple types of market value offers. -

I don’t blame him for not getting a contract. That’s not what I said. I stated that he would have benefited from an agent. Coming off an MVP season in 2019 ? Do you think his leverage at that time was higher than Josh? I think the NFL would have said yes. We as Bills fans accurately would have argued Josh would ultimately be the better player. I’ve above tried to not be snarky or disrespectful to your position which is flawed. No one is clutching pearls about a guy who has lost a ton of $. He’s just played it poorly. You bring up math but you somehow think that losing $30M doesn’t matter. Because he made so much $ the last two years. Ok it’s pointless to continue this discussion as you’re not going to see the obvious. -

Agree while Josh enjoys 4 more years of $ and no contract or injury concerns. Injury with respect to the $ to be clear. -

A deal that will never recoup the $30M that Josh has earned over him the past 2 years in particular. If he signed in 2022 as he could have. Perhaps JA’s agent proactively reached out to the Bills in 2021? Lamar had no such expert doing so on his behalf. He may surpass Josh on average for a few years.. but it would have to be by $30M over the next 4 years. Then Josh signs his next contract in his prime around the age 29 or 30. Not trying to be disrespectful or difficult but he’s not gonna make up the $ or the relationship with the Ravens. PM JA JB get that part of it. It’s not the diva WR it’s the face of the franchise. -

JA has or will make $ 85M at the same time Lamar has made $55M .. the Josh contract has had a big signing bonus. Anyway you look at it he has lost significantly by not doing what Josh did. -

A contract that will never catch up to what JA already has in his bank account. -

By not signing a similar contract to JA at the same time Josh did. It has cost him between $30-40M through this year. Assuming he signs for only the $32M and not a long term context. Numerous people have articles or podcasts on it. JA has earned $85M while Lamar has earned around $55M give or take as stated above. -

Well right now pretty much anyone has a better idea than what Lamar is doing. He will never regain the $ he’s lost. So it’s incredible that that you think it’s incredible 😂 -

Well they offered him 6 years $ 175m and total of $290m.. seems they have the $ and offered it to him. The OBJ contract is beyond foolish! But the Lamar offer that he turned down is worse. -

Demonstrates poor leadership. Not understanding his market. Taking negatively about the team that was the only one to take him in the first round. They believed in him and built a unique O around him. His repayment is to seek an unreasonable contract. So even if he comes back the relationship has been hurt. OBJ for one year at silly $ really should make no difference to Lamar as his long term may not benefit from having him one year. -

Embarrassing to go race card with Lamar. Bill Polian got destroyed for saying pre draft he didn’t think Lamar was going to be a good NFL qb for his passing ability and skill set. Not because he was black. He has been proven wrong to some degree. Numerous posters have explained the why and the logical reasons that Lamar isn’t getting what he wants. He owns about 90% of his current situation. He should take accountability for that. One question GM’s and owners have is what kind of leader gets in the situation? You combine that with all that has been posted about health, playoff results, and passing ability and here you are. -
With 6 picks and needing 3-4 significant contributors I don’t see it. Let’s say they move up for Johnston WR from TCU.. do they give up a 2nd or a 3rd? If 2nd then the LB’s Campbell and Sanders are out. Leaving the 3rd for an OT to compete w SB. Essentially, means LB starter will be on current roster.
-
That’s fair. The TCU WR would be a great addition to the Bills. But overall light on the top good value in 2nd-4th. I like Mingo from Ole Miss in 3rd or 4th. Pharma rare disease on the West coast.
-
You are probably right. Once the first round is done QB’s do fall. He could go as late as 5-6th round.
-
3rd round #76 right about where HH will go this year imho.
-
Campbell or Sanders are both gone by 50. Elite WR’s are gone as well. A rebuilding Tampa is giving us its #1 next year that’s likely a top 15 pick. Hmm.. Just not seeing your premise but I do like your tenacity. I’m in sales I could use your energy on my team.
