Analyzing 10 years of first round TE production
QLBillsFan replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes apparently some folks didn’t listen to BB. He’s going to be on the field. He’s not going to play inline TE much. He’s allows the Bills to dictate to the D. They will have he Knox, Diggs, and Davis together. I suspect your prediction above is accurate. -

Will DeAndre Hopkins be available this offseason?
QLBillsFan replied to NeverOutNick's topic in The Stadium Wall
He’s a game changer in that D will have to go nickel when Bills are in 12. This creates space for all others as he spreads the field will open the middle and cause lbs or s to cover him. Additionally, the run game now enhanced with a mauling guard opens up cook vs nickel. Along with red zone advantages. So yes he’s a game changer per just about any NFL person you listen to. Rapp like Poyer had a lower value than he expected. But he’s a great 3rd safety. The question isn’t what other teams did. Does Rapp make S depth better ? Yes. Interesting while I provide objections reactions to your points (some of which are valid) you position this conversation in the negative about this roster. The facts suggest it’s a better roster. But time will tell 🍻 Again it’s about how the D must now react to the Bills. I expect he will be 3rd in receptions by year end. -

Good points but I think you’re overlooking the depth moves on the whole. Age certainty factors in. Crowder got hurt and OJ was a flyer. Agree that Saffold didn’t work out. Rapp was a starter that’s big upgrade. OL depth is younger and better. Kincaid is game changer. But we can agree to disagree. -

I’m comparing last years roster to this years roster. Explain where the Bills are worse ? We lost our MLB who signed for $18m so that’s a loss. Oh and back up QB might be a net loss. 1. Add depth at WR improving both slot and outside. We add a top 10 evaluated game changer at TE who will create match up issues. 2. OL added starters at OG providing more skill and depth in case of injuries. Need more OT depth but that may come. 3. S depth with Rapp so if we lose 1 or 2 S’s we have he and not a slow J.J. on the field. I’ll wait for your explanation of how the Bills are worse. -

You stated the roster would be worse? So it’s not worse. Injuries happen to all teams. The roster is better than last year, eh? -

Hmm we have lost Edmunds. Get back Hyde a healthy 💯 TW along with both DT’s who didn’t play vs Cinn.. an upgraded OL along with an explosive slot TE .. depth at WR and Von for the final push. Can’t say I agree the roster is worse. -
Good to see you’re open minded🤓.. yes we would like to see 3rd picks start/contribute immediately. We shall see 🤷🏻♂️

Fair points on Williams. Jones has a bunch of red flags. Seems on paper he’s a better choice. But he’s slipping for a reason. Williams not competing at MLB does make you question in 3rd. This tells me they think SB will bounce back along w the Miami OT. And they think Bernard and Klein can handle MLB. Also McDermott may vary looks and personnel.

We aren’t gonna lose games because we can’t stop the run. Our 2 best run DT’s didn’t play vs Cinn. The NE was unique no? TE wasn’t particularly great at run D. Just my thoughts. Seems Bills will try and score 35 a game. With Hyde our DT’s and ultimately Von back that’s 4 key players. Add TW 💯 I’ll take our chances trying to build more around Josh

Didn’t say he was a horrible guy. He’s a great WR. I’ll be more clear: 1. What do cards want ? We don’t know ? 2. He stopped running on a pass int and gave up on his team .. so yes he’s a diva 3. His contract is around $14-16 m and he’s not happy w it so yes he’s a diva 4. He and Diggs will both want 10 targets 5. We just drafted a big TE/ WR in round 1
-
I agree but what did cards want ? Cap comes in to play .. obviously DHop is a top WR

The Battle of a lifetime: Klein, Spector, Dodson, Bernard, Williams
QLBillsFan replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall
Seems they think they do. Decided they would load up on O and try to win 38-31 .. since having a top 3 D didn’t work. Think of a LB in the current nfl who really shuts down the best O’s ? -
Hey I was passionate about being wrong twice 🤓😂
-
East peasy right as if you know that the cards would take a 3rd? And the Bills could take on $15m for a 31 year old diva ? Not that simple
-
And his $15m and diva approach.. when the cards won’t trade him.. sounds good but in reality they wanted more
-
That’s up to our DT’s .. when healthy they will be fine. Remember Jones Phillips did not play vs Cinn along w Von and Hyde
-
He’s starting
-
He’s the Bills staring LB. He’s had a very productive career and runs extremely well with strong tackling skills. Good pick 👍
-
Ok and TE was good no ??
-
Starting MLB for the Bills
-
He’s a fast LB great pick !!!
-
Jones Williams or trade back and pick up extra pick
-
Well he was a top 10 ranked player and drafted at 10. We gave up a 4th. It’s likely BB trades 59 unless Sanders is available. So I see Bills adding 70 and 109 for 59. So let’s see how it plays out. Just my thoughts 💭
